Good day all. News came out yesterday, (Sunday March 3rd), that a decision on President Trump’s eligibility would be issued today. (Monday March 4th), The rumors in this case were correct, and the United States Supreme Court has issued a unanimous decision.
First some background. A number of Democrat controlled states, seeing that the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump, was probably going to win the Republican nomination for president and then defeat the absolute worst president* in American History, Joe Dementia Biden. As we’ve been seeing, the Democrats have stopped at nothing to “Get Trump!” One of their brilliant ideas was to declare President Trump ineligible under the 14th Amendment.
Several state judges, all Democrats, decided that they would ban President Trump from the ballot under the 14th. We also have a moonbat in Maine who is the Secretary of State decide on her own that she was going to keep President Trump off the Ballot. These rulings flat out violated the Constitution and quickly ended up in front of the Supreme Court. Now they have issued their ruling. Here are the details from Fox News:
The U.S. Supreme Court sided unanimously with former President Trump in his challenge to the state of Colorado’s attempt to kick him off the 2024 primary ballot. All nine justices ruled in favor of Trump in the case, which will impact the status of efforts in several other states to remove the likely GOP nominee from their respective ballots.
I do like the comment “Will impact the status of efforts in several other states” to remove President Trump from the ballot. Impact is a nice way of saying “Stops dead in their tracks.”
The court considered for the first time the meaning and reach of Article 3 of the 14th Amendment, which bars former officeholders who “engaged in insurrection” from holding public office again. Challenges have been filed to remove Trump from the 2024 ballot in over 30 states.
“We conclude that States may disqualify persons holding or attempting to hold state office. But States have no power under the Constitution to enforce Section 3 with respect to federal offices, especially the Presidency,” the Court wrote.
The translation from a non-lawyer is, “This is something for the Federal government, and the states have no right to do this, period, stop, mike drop.”
Colorado’s Secretary of State Jena Griswold issued a statement Monday on the opinion saying, “The United States Supreme Court has ruled that states do not have the authority to enforce Section 3 of the 14th Amendment for federal candidates.”
“In accordance with this decision, Donald Trump is an eligible candidate on Colorado’s 2024 Presidential Primary,” she said.
The Fox story goes into the details of the rulings along with the comments from the justices basically bitch slapping the moonbats, progressives and Democrats for their stupidity. What is really going to hurt the Progressives is that this was a unanimous decision. Both Obama justices and the Biden justice also ruled in favor of President Trump.
This puts an end to attempts by the Progressive Liberal Democrats to rig the election by keeping the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald J. Trump. Now they’ll have to concentrate on flat out voter fraud and election rigging, along with the DoJ’s attempts to railroad President Trump into prison to keep Dementia Joe in office and protect their own backsides from a new Trump administration.
