Good day all. This news broke on Wednesday, March 27th. New Hampshire Democrat Annie Kuster has decided to step down and not seek reelection.
This is personally satisfying to myself and the others here at Anger Central. That commie has been misrepresenting my district since day one. I suspect her announcement isn’t being well received in the Democrat Elite’s offices. Here are some of the details from the Washington Examiner:
A top centrist House Democrat in the New Democrat Coalition is retiring after 12 years in Congress, becoming the latest in a long line of Democrats and Republicans who are leaving Capitol Hill after the 2024 elections.
Rep. Annie Kuster (D-NH) announced in a statement on Wednesday that she would not seek reelection this November and would leave the House as New Hampshire’s 2nd District representative after the 118th Congress concludes.
“This work has been many things — rewarding, frustrating, inspiring, and challenging,” Kuster said. “But, more than anything, it has been an honor.”
Good riddance is all I have to say. She has done great harm to this country and to the state of New Hampshire. She may claim to be a “centerist” but she was always in lockstep with the commands of the Democrat Elite.
The New Hampshire Democrat’s retirement will set off an open race for the 2nd Congressional District, one of New Hampshire’s most competitive districts. Kuster’s district leans Democratic by 2 points, according to the CookPoliticalReport. Her decision to depart from Congress could set off a fiery contest and give Republicans an opportunity to flip the seat red in November — a win they desperately need to maintain their razor-thin House majority.
Currently, the Republican in New Hampshire’s 2nd District is Lily Tang Williams. She is an immigrant from China who has become a naturalized American citizen.
I think she has a much better chance of winning this cycle. She didn’t win the primary in the last cycle, and she is running again. The Primary is in September. Needless to say, She Who Must Be Obeyed will support Ms. Williams, even if she can’t vote for her. (She’s still on a Green Card)
I suspect that Kuster looked at the polls and wasn’t happy with what she saw. The Democrats have done a huge amount of damage to this country over the last 4 years, and we’re still dealing with the fallout from the Tainted Election of 2020. While I can’t say this is accurate, I think Kuster pulled the plug instead of going down to crushing defeat. Good bye and good riddance.
