Good day all. About 15 hours ago as I write this, someone tried to assassinate the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump. President Trump was nicked in the right ear and an innocent bystander was killed. The Secret Service then removed the shooter from existence. President Trump was surrounded by his detail and escorted from the stage, pausing only to do a fist pump to show he was ok.
Needless to say, we are only at hour 15 of the 72 hour rule. (The 72 hour rule is in place since the first reports are usually wrong) I first heard about this shortly after it happened and knocked together a very quick post. I put it out both to inform what had happened and that President Trump was OK.
I first watched some live streaming from Fox News, then went to my television and started scanning news channels. Fox and Newsmax were both deep into coverage along with the big three progressive over the air networks, ABC, CBS and NBC. CNN was also covering it, but I didn’t even bother with them.
One of the things that’s come out is that this wasn’t some clown who slipped a gun past security, it was some clown with a rifle from 150 yards away. Apparently, it was shear luck and the fact that President Trump happened to turn his had at that moment that caused the miss. What has been coming out since then was the massive security failure by the Secret Service.
The building the shooter climbed up on was well within range of someone with a rifle and had a clear line of site to the podium. There were no Secret Service agents or local police officers station on the roof. Additionally, the shooter was spotted by citizens who tried to warn the police and Secret Service and apparently were ignored. (Again, 72 hour rule) There is also pictures taken by the witnesses of the criminal on the roof with a rifle.
The shooter has been identified. I won’t name him, but he was some 20 year old. Apparently he was registered as a Republican, which the Democrat Propaganda Corps is trying to use, but only voted, apparently, in the primary. This could have been an “Operation Chaos” vote where the shooter was trying to block President Trump. We don’t know yet.
The FBI is now taking over the investigation, and that is causing a lot of people to question it. The DoJ and FBI have not been covering themselves with glory for the last 8 years, and Merrick Garland’s blatant abuse and weaponization of the DoJ, along with his ignoring the oversight committees in the House, has led to attempts to fine and/or jail him. (That may need to wait for next year with a new AG in place)
I just saw a news blurb that the shooters home has been raided by the FBI. I seriously doubt we will be told anything about what they find, especially if it looks like this punk was a leftist Antifa type. We saw the same thing with the Nashville nutcase. She left a “manifesto” that basically blew up the progressive narratives and they have been trying to bury it ever since.
One thing that this has probably done is insure that President Trump is going to be reelected in November. It won’t matter if the Democrats somehow force Dementia Joe Biden off the ticket or not. What is probably going to happen is that the Democrats are going to have to expend a huge amount of money and resources to protect their down ticket races.
One of the problems they now face have been all the calls to “Stop Trump by Any Means!” Now someone has once again taken them at their word and almost triggered the Second American Civil War. Without question, all those Democrats no up for reelection who are facing Republicans are going to have their own words and deeds thrown in their faces.
One race that could be affected is the senatorial race in Kalifornistan. This is the one between the corrupt liar Adam Schiffhead and Steve Garvey. I haven’t been following that race, assuming that since it’s Kalifornistan, Schiffhead would win. Looking at some polls, I can’t tell which way things may go. Now? You can bet the RNC is going to take a dump all over Adam Schiffhead. There are other races around the country that the Democrats probably would have won that may now be up in the air.
Now what happens? First, we must do what little we can for the family of the innocent person who was killed and help those who were injured. Next will be the investigation. As much as Garland and the DoJ are going to want to bury this, it has to be public and transparent. Next, whoever botched the security plan and those who approved need to be fired. That roof should have had an agent or police officer on it.
Next is the GOP Convention. There has already been a fight between the RNC and the DHS about the security needs. At the very least, the Director of the Secret Service should be terminated. I’ve heard stories that it wasn’t just the Director, but DHS head Mayorkis who may have been involved in the denial of additional security. I suspect that the requested security arrangements are now going to be reviewed.
Thankfully, the criminal missed and “Bad Things™ won’t be happening. Without question, if that criminal had succeeded, the guns would even now be coming out and all the moonbats, progressives, leftists and Never Trumpers would be running for their lives. The current Day by Day cartoon pretty much says it all. There is one panel with the one of the “Lead” characters, Zed who basically said what would have happened.
“If Trump goes down, the left will one week later, I guarantee.” (Zed is a fictional former military sniper. Also, the current strip is most definitely not safe for work)
You could see that sentiment starting to appear in the crowd until President Trump did his fist pump to show he was OK. One of the videos of President Trump’s supporters shows a young woman, I would guess in her early 20’s, who, once she saw President Trump was OK, joined the chant of “USA! USA!” that started up. Then she turned to the camera and flipped it the bird. (Waved her middle finger), and could be seen yelling “Fuck You!” I think it’s safe to say she was addressing the Progressive Liberal Democrats, saying “You missed losers! Don’t try this again because we won’t!”
For now, things are happily pretty calm. President Trump has been treated for his injury and I suspect there will be a lot more security at his future events. (Like a bullet proof screen he can stand behind) One of the things I saw when President Trump was back on his feet was his face. He wasn’t showing fear, he was enraged.
For the last month, I’ve been posting about Liberals terrified that President Trump will have them all arrested. Now they should be if they broke the law. Where before he may have let things slide a bit, now I think that some of these morons in Congress who have been calling for violence are going to have some serious explaining to do.
