Local police not talking to FBI any longer

Good day all. The Federal Bureau of Investigation was once considered the premier investigative law enforcement services on Earth. That is no longer the case. For the last 20+ years, the FBI has slowly managed to anger more and more people to the point that a majority of Americans think the FBI should be disbanded and the agents fired.

The disgust with the FBI has really escalated in the last four years as people saw them being sent against people who support President Trump and President Trump himself. Then we have watched the FBI Director, Christopher Wray basically lie to Congress on a number of subjects. (Yes, President Trump appointed him, but that was on the recommendation of Republicans he thought he could trust)

Now the rain of shoes falling has increased. Local police departments are starting to refuse to share information with the FBI. Here are the detail from the New York Post:

As FBI Director Chris Wray performed his usual smarmy stonewalling in Congress Wednesday, a damning report on his $10 billion agency’s “cult of narcissism” was delivered to the House Judiciary Committee by an alliance of retired and active-duty agents and analysts.

The same group gave us the scathing DEI report last year about the FBI’s degraded recruitment standards and coddling of physically unfit, mentally ill, drug-taking or generally useless agents to satisfy diversity requirements at the expense of merit and experience.

This time they have assessed the entire bureau and drawn several worrying conclusions, including that local law enforcement partners have developed a “disturbing loss of trust in the FBI” and are therefore reluctant to share information, with alarming consequences for national security and public safety.

Police officers and sheriff’s deputies on patrol and detectives investigating illegal activity in their jurisdictions have unparalleled visibility into street-level crime. … When this information is not immediately shared with the FBI, the FBI is left to address complex, evolving threats facing the United States with an unacceptably vast and debilitating ‘blind spot’ because [it] does not have enough personnel and resources to see into every corner of the country.”

There is a reason for this. The FBI has a long history of expecting local police to provide them information, but not reciprocating. More recently, you have seen the flat out assaults against people who don’t toe the Progressive line. One such case was the arrest of Mark Houck for blocking the door to an abortion clinic and assaulting a worker.

They sent a full swat team to his house looking for any reason to execute him. (Houck was tried and acquitted and is currently suing the United State Government for massive violations of his rights) Then we have the infamous FBI panty raid on President Trump’s home in Florida, Mar-a-lago Again a heavily armed raid team was sent with authorization to shoot. Worse, the raid team was told to hide the fact they were FBI agents.

Then we have the recent testimony by Christopher Wray. He said that he thought that President Trump had been hit by glass from his teleprompter, something that was debunked within minutes. (The teleprompter was intact) Add to this that it doesn’t appear that the FBI has even bothered to talk to President Trump or his people about what they saw or experienced that day.

While Wray testified that the FBI is facing a “complex threat environment” that is unprecedented in his experience, the loss of trust in the bureau on his watch only exacerbates the risks, which include terrorist suspects flooding over the southern border.

And what have you done about it? The answer is both simple and frightening. He had done absolutely nothing.

The whistleblower report draws on testimony from more than 30 “independent, highly credible law enforcement sources and sub-sources” across the country who “do not trust the FBI because they believe the FBI in recent years has been operating as a partisan federal agency motivated by a political agenda.

They are not only reluctant to work with the FBI but reportedly have decided to no longer share actionable, substantive information on criminal and other intelligence-related activity with the FBI.”

Most concerning is what the alliance of whistleblowers calls a “crisis of confidence” in FBI-led task forces where relationships with local cops have deteriorated to the point of “imploding” in some cases because of “poor management and ineffective leadership by the FBI.”

This was the one thing that Wray was brought in to fix. He was supposed to clean up the mess left by James Comey, instead he did nothing and probably made things worse. The Post story then lists some of the things that have broken the trust of local police departments, starting with the excessive response to the January 6th protests and the aforementioned panty raid on Melania Trump’s underwear drawer.

One source, a 25-year veteran sergeant in the Major Crimes Division of a large police force in a Western state, said they “cannot understand why the FBI is not going after [far-left militant group] Antifa, BLM and pro-Palestinian rioters with the same vigor the FBI brought to bear against” J6 participants.

The answer to that is simple. They support them. These groups have engaged in actual violence and murder. The January 6th protesters? A few did go to far, but most acted like tourists, not terrorists. There are also the reports that a number of the instigators were actually undercover FBI agents.

The pressure placed on local law enforcement to assist with J6 cases in their areas “has impacted morale within these agencies” and led to a belief that the FBI has been contaminated by a “partisan, political agenda.”

It has.

Sources believe that “FBI leadership would exploit any information provided to them to violate the law and the constitutional rights of suspects who are under investigation, as well as innocent citizens.”

And they do. Most people may not know this, but when you are questioned by the FBI, there are no recordings made. The agents fill out a form, (Form FD-302 if I am correct), regarding their questions and the suspects answers. These are used to accuse people being questioned of lying to a federal agent. Since there are no recordings, it’s the accused verses “Upstanding FBI agents.” This is why you always refuse to speak to a federal agent without a lawyer present under any circumstances.

One said the FBI’s behavior was “that of a Third World country [and the bureau] should be dismantled and its personnel prosecuted and given long prison sentences.”

The FBI has no one to blame but themselves for this. While I don’t think every agent is rotten to the core, far to many are, most of them recent DEI hires.

The head of a multiagency task force said the newer FBI agents on the team “do not bother to conceal their distaste for disfavored political and religious views … Newer FBI special agents identify themselves as ‘woke or liberal’ and are often openly critical of Conservative or Christian values.”

Another source described FBI personnel generally as “almost always … arrogant, aloof and condescending [with] little, if any, tactical skills to support themselves or the safety of their team while out on the streets.”

They are also, basically, bullies. There are several TV shows on Over the Air television, (And also streaming), built around several “divisions” of the FBI. One is based on the NYC office, another pursues “High Value” suspects and a third is based on FBI agents overseas. (I almost never watch the last one) They all have one thing in common. They do not show the agents in a good light. (I don’t think this was intentional on the part of the producers and writers though)

Compare this with the original FBI show with Efrem Zimbalist Jr. and his “Just the facts ma’am” attitude. The agents in the modern shows throw their weight around, are arrogant and threaten people that don’t comply with them. Granted this is fictional television, but these days it’s looking more like a reality show.

The picture that emerges of the FBI is of an incompetent, arrogant, bloated bureaucracy that includes a new generation of DEI hires described as “completely worthless” and “the worst batch of people.”

The report’s final damning indictment is reserved for the FBI Academy for New Agent Training in Quantico, Va., which “promotes a cult of narcissism by imbuing a false sense of superiority over all local, state and federal law enforcement.”

That’s been going on for decades.

The FBI Academy has become so politicized that at one point, a group of conservative students held up handwritten signs displaying the word “STOP” in response to the instructor’s constant political denigration of Trump and Republicans.

I’m sure those students were dismissed shortly thereafter.

The FBI has suspended or revoked clearances for employees who expressed support for Trump or objections to the COVID-19 vaccination in answer to a series of improper and intrusive questions.

This is typical of a Banana Republic secret police force, not an American law enforcement agency. This is something that Director Christopher Wray should have put a stop to on day one. Guess what that worthless POS did instead?

Wray testified Wednesday that the intrusive questions were simply a one-off by an outside contractor who has been terminated.

But FBI whistleblower Steve Friend and others immediately disputed his claim, pointing out that these sorts of inappropriate questions were routine and “asked all the time in interviews.”

I’m not certain, but I believe some of the affected agents, or former agents, are taking legal action over this. Basically, they were defamed by the FBI and DoJ.

Wray also claimed the FBI was not lowering its standards for new employees, which flies in the face of the group’s revelations about the effect of disastrous DEI recruitment policies.

The article goes on to say that the whistleblower group believes the only way to fix things is to fire Wray. The problem with this is that he is doing exactly what the Democrat Party wants him to do.

Judging by the sycophantic questioning of Wray by Democrats, we will have to wait for a Republican administration to clean house.

I think we have long past the point of no return with regards to reforming the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I am not alone in this apparently. The next administration, with the legislative assistance of Congress, will need to formally disband the FBI and terminate all personnel. Some people say that we should keep the forensics people, but with no power of arrest, but they have a lot of problems of their own. They all need to go.

As to their replacements? There are some agents that are loyal to the Constitution, the Rule of Law and want to do nothing more then go after real criminals. I suspect that number is probably less then 15% these days. What should be done is some retraining of the United States Marshals and the actual “Good FBI agents allowed to apply for positions there.

As for the actual lab and forensics types? A brand new service will need to be stood up with very high requirements that have no powers of arrest and very limited ability to investigate beyond the science of a crime scene. They also need to be made available to local law enforcement as needed. They also must be told that the local police are the lead investigators, not them. If things continue on the way they have been, there is going to be an incident that makes the initial ATF raid on the Branch Dividians look like a training accident.
