Good day all. For the last 3½ years we have been experiencing what should be considered an invasion of the United States by millions of foreign nationals. This started shortly after the Tainted Election of 2020 and the knowledge that the worst president* in American history, Dementia Joe Biden, would throw open the borders.
Since then between 10 to 20 million illegal aliens have crossed into the United States. Very few have been deported. Among these illegals are tens of thousands of violent criminals. The maladministration has done essentially nothing. The states, such as Texas, which have been suffering from the invasion have been trying to do things to stop this.
The problems with this is that the Biden/Garland DoJ have moved to stop the states from doing anything to protect themselves. One of the things that the maladministration did to try and cover themselves was put Kackling Kamala Harris in charge of the problem. As expected, she failed miserably and did nothing. Now we have a reason for this. Here are the details from the New York Post:
Progressive Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday and called for “comprehensive immigration reform” — including a “pathway to citizenship”, i.e., amnesty, for 11 million illegal immigrants.
She then said the quiet part out loud, admitting that a President Kamala Harris “will work with Congress to get that done.”
This Democratic call for amnesty is nothing new. One of the first acts of the Biden-Harris administration was to release a framework for the “U.S. Citizenship Act.”
Ignore the title: that bill would have put virtually every illegal immigrant in the United States — including serious criminals — on a path to citizenship, while at the same time opening the door for aliens deported under Trump to return.
That has always been the plan for the Democrat party. The conspiracy theorists call it the “Great Replacement Plan.” The Progressives, Liberals, Democrats and RINO’s of the Uniparty have always called this “Just plain crazy talk” by racists, conspiracy theorists and Trump supporters. I, personally, haven’t paid much attention to this. Most of the American conspiracy theorists want to end all immigration, not just stop and deport illegal aliens. (She Who Must Be Obeyed is a legal immigrant) Now it looks like they might be right after all.
What’s more, that Biden-Harris proposal would have weakened immigration enforcement and doubled future legal immigration.
I fully agree that the current immigration system is a flaming dumpster fire and that it needs to be trashed and a new system, carefully designed, needs to be implemented. What we have now can be traced back to the murdering rapist, Senator Dead Ted Kennedy.
Any popular support for the bill evaporated when millions of unvetted illegal migrants poured over the Southwest border, more than a few motivated by the prospect of a fresh amnesty and a shot at lavish government benefits.
This has been a problem for years, especially in Democrat controlled cities and states. The “Sanctuary” locals have also been providing all sorts of benefits at taxpayer expense to these criminals. New York City has finally reached the breaking point. Of course, since the mayor is a moron, his answer is to gut law enforcement and raise more taxes.
Still, congressional Democrats kept trying, next attempting to exploit legislative “budget reconciliation” loopholes to push through a more modest (but still extremely costly) amnesty that would have benefited “only” 6.5 million illegal immigrants.
That is between a third and half of these criminals. The open border has become an issue that is starting to cross party lines among the voters. More then half the population is on board with a mass roundup and deportation of all illegal aliens. The good news is that the Democrats weren’t able to push this through.
That effort was repeatedly stymied by the nonpartisan Senate parliamentarian.
But had the reconciliation amnesty come to the floor, Harris would almost definitely have cast the deciding vote (it had zero Republican support in the closely divided Senate) to make it law.
We did dodge a bullet here, but barely. UpChuck Schumer, who is, to be blunt, utter treasonous, (in the general sense of the word, not constitutional…damn it!), scum, went on his usual “Do what I tell you” rants.
That defeat didn’t deter Sen. Chuck Schumer from taking to the Capitol steps in November 2022 to demand an amnesty for so-called “Dreamers,” unlawfully present aliens brought to this country as children.
He apparently couldn’t help himself at the time from admitting that this effort was simply a stalking horse for the party’s “ultimate goal” — “a path to citizenship for all 11 million, or however many undocumented, there are here.”
Most of those criminals, even if they had come here lawfully, would have trouble becoming citizens. One of the requirements, (The last time I looked), was to be able to speak English. Most of the illegals don’t. That would be to the benefit of the Democrats of course. They would rig the system so that they would still become citizens and then able to vote. The goal would be to make sure they only vote Democrat.
Thanks to the Biden-Harris border debacle, the number of “undocumented” is now well north of 13 million, but that surge likely plays into Democrats’ amnesty plan.
It’s probably closer to 20 million.
The last major amnesty passed on a bipartisan basis in 1986, and proponents’ strongest talking point was that the illegal population — then just over 4 million — had grown so large that legalization was the only option, coupled with a promise of more serious future enforcement.
I remember that one. The only reason President Reagan agreed to it was that Tip O’Neil and the Democrats would pass bills to deal with the situation and make it impossible for Illegals to get jobs or exist. I think one of the ideas was to go after employers who hired illegals. The Democrats didn’t even try to pass bills. O’Neil had flat out lied.
The next attempted amnesty was under George W. Bush. That failed when the voters, thanks to the internet, hammered their reps and flat out threatened to vote them out of office of they tried to grant amnesty to illegals.
Today, the Democrats have given up any semblance of subtlety and are flat out stating that the whole idea is to replace American voters, who have had it with the Socialist totalitarian Democrat Elites, with people they can control. They also know that amnesty is about as popular as herpes, AIDS and gonorrhea to both Americans and legal Resident Aliens, especially to the latter. If you need a reason to vote Trump and against the Democrats, here it is. (The economy tanking now is another reason)
