Trump campaigning in Blue States

Good day all. We are now in the closing weeks of the 2024 campaign. I’m not going to talk about the polls since, honestly, who the heck knows? What I am posting about is President Trump going deep into enemy territory and holding campaign rallies.

A lot of member of the “Professional Election Consultant Class” are questioning President Trump’s holding rallies in places like New York, Chicago and other blue states. President Trump isn’t paying any attention to them. Saturday, October 12th, President Trump held a rally in Coachvella Valley, California and it looks like the turnout was “Yuuge!” Here are the details from Fox News:

With Election Day closing in, former President Trump took a surprising detour to ultra-blue California to spotlight the state’s sky-high inflation, crime and illegal immigration.

Trump touched down in Coachella Valley on Saturday evening to take on Vice President Kamala Harris on her home turf. Joining him at the rally was Hollywood A-lister Dennis Quaid, star of a new biopic on former President Ronald Reagan.

Now you would think that the turnout for a Trump rally in the People’s Democratic Republic of Kalifornistan wouldn’t be all that big, certainly not on the level of rallies in other areas of the country. You would be mistaken.

Voters in the decidedly blue state came out in droves, with Trump remarking on the sheer size of the crowds as he took the stage at 5:30 p.m. PST.

“We have had a great reception here. Look at this crowd,” Trump said, marveling at the crowd. “This is like record stuff as far as the eye can see.”

The estimates I’ve seen as well as from pictures, there were anywhere up to 100,000 people who came to see the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump. That is a massive turnout, especially for a Communist State that isn’t going to vote for President Trump…probably.

President spoke about illegal immigration and the crimes these illegals have been doing against American citizens and Legal Resident Aliens, and they have been basically getting away with them thanks to all the Soros D.A.s out there. He also commented on the state of California and how the Democrats have run the State right into the ground.

Actor Dennis Quaid was also there with President Trump. Recently, he did a biographical movie of the Greatest President of the 20th Century, Ronald Reagan. Mr. Quaid asked the crowd “The Question” made famous by President Trump.

Quaid drew cheers when he asked the crowd the famous Reagan question, ‘Are you better off now than you were four years ago?” Like Reagan did with opponent Jimmy Carter more than 40 years ago, Trump and his surrogates are using that theme to point out high inflation during his predecessor’s term in office.

Reagan asked that question when he was running for reelection in 1984, not his run against Carter in 1980. His opponent was Walter Mondale, and the answer was a resounding yes. This time around, we have how things were when President Trump left office in 2021 and how things are now. In this case, the answer is a resounding NO!

With time an extremely precious commodity for the presidential campaigns in the final stretch of a White House showdown in a margin-of-error race with Harris, many are wondering why Trump is stopping in blue states.

I suspect there are a number of reasons. First, President Trump is showing that while the old Uniparty Establishment GOP may have written off California, President Trump hasn’t. I doubt he expect to win of course. What he may do is affect the down ticket races for the House of Representatives and the Senate.

For the Senate, we have the utterly corrupt Adam Schiffhead who is going up against Steve Garvey. I haven’t followed the race that closely, however the last I heard, and this was some time ago, it was a lot closer then expected. If President Trump’s appearance in California causes a much higher turnout of people who support Garvey, and he should actually win, it will send shock waves through Kalifornistan.

There are also a number of races for the House of Representatives and if President Trump’s appearance flips a few of those as well, it may indicate a potential landslide. Best of all, this is a cheap way of doing things. Instead of spending millions on commercials that no one watches, people who went to the rally will go home and spread the word. There is also the potential effect on voters in other states.

The stop in Coachella may benefit Trump with Latino voters — who have been trending towards the GOP in recent years — not only in southeast California, but more importantly in neighboring Arizona and Nevada, two of the seven crucial battleground states that will likely determine if the former president or Harris wins the 2024 election.

I don’t know where things stand in those two states. I do know that Arizona has some serious election security issues that they still haven’t corrected after four years. Nevada might just be turning more Republican. Las Vegas lives on Tourist money and if people don’t have the extra cash to visit the casinos and other attractions, then all those hospitality workers become redundant a get laid off. (Which doesn’t help the Unions out there either even if the union leadership is in the tank for Harris and the Democrats)

I mention that I wasn’t going to talk about the polls and there is a simple reason. They can’t be trusted. Right now, they indicate that President Trump may have a slight lead over Harris. The issue is who actually answers polls. Generally it’s Progressives, Liberals and Democrats. Most Republicans hang up the phone. Right now, the only poll I am paying attention to will be taken next month on the first Tuesday.
