Good day all. In President Trump’s previous administration, he selected former Governor Nikki Haley to be the ambassador to the United Nations. While there, she did a fairly decent job. However, it was in the years between Trump 45 and Trump 47 that Haley showed her true RINO colors. She turned on President Trump and ran against him in the primaries.
She didn’t do to well. Instead of simply trying to improve on what worked in President Trump’s first administration, she decided to go full on Never Trumper and proceeded to attack him. That worked about as expected and Haley was blown out. She finally accepted reality, especially since the money ran out, and stepped aside.
Being the gracious sort that she is, she decided to play games with her endorsement, finally, and grudgingly endorsing President Trump in the general election. However, she seems to have forgotten that President Donald Trump is not one to forget insults. When he won the 2024 election, he announced that Haley would not be part of his new administration. Haley took this about as well as any Karen would. Here are the details from the Populist Times:
Weeks after endorsing Trump as the best option, failed Republican presidential candidate and former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley is singing a different tune after being excluded from the Trump cabinet.
“For those of us clear-eyed enough to see Mr. Trump’s flaws and honest enough to acknowledge them, the question is whether we’re better off with his policies or his opponent’s,” Haley’s backhand endorsement stated.
I’d forgotten about that so called endorsement. I wonder if she was being coached by Liz Cheney? I don’t think Cheney expects to be asked to join the Trump administration, unless it’s as part of the janitorial service.
Haley’s resentment surfaced after Trump said that neither she, nor former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, would be invited into his new cabinet. However, the President-elect praised their conduct and thanked them for the role they played in his previous administration.
“I will not be inviting former Ambassador Nikki Haley, or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, to join the Trump administration,” he posted on Truth Social. “I very much enjoyed and appreciated working with them previously, and would like to thank them for their service to our country.”
I will admit that I was a bit surprised with regards to Mike Pompeo. He did an excellent job as Secretary of State. I asked some people I know and they told me what happened. It seems that he stuck his head into the Insurrection Kool-ade and chugged it right down, along with a few other things. Basically, like the former Vice President, Mike Pence, he stabbed President Trump in the back.
However, bitter Haley would have none of it and went on a tirade attacking Trump, claiming she was not interested in working with him in the first place, a classic case of “sour grapes.”
“I know the game he was playing. I don’t need to play that game,” she said on SiriusXM. “He can be shallow at times, and I think he showed that.”
“I had no interest in being in his cabinet. He knew that,” she added. “At this point, we should pray President Trump does well, we should pray that everyone he appoints does well.”
The article goes on to list all of Haley’s complaints as she goes full Karen. About the only thing she didn’t do was demand to speak to the manager. Compare this with several others who ran against President Trump in the Primaries. You have Governor Douglas Burgum from North Dakota who has been nominated to be Secretary of the Interior. He ran against President Trump but was respectful to President Trump.
Then you have Vivek Ramaswamy. He also ran against President Trump and showed that he might just be a younger version of him. When he withdrew from the race, he threw all his support to President Trump and worked his butt off to help him get elected. Now he and Elon Musk have have been asked to form the Commissioner of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to see how they can rip the guts out, I mean streamline and make more efficient, the Federal Government.
Haley, on the other hand, has always been a RINO. When she was governor of South Carolina, she tended to go the WOKE, Politically correct route, especially with anything from the Confederate States of America. I was a bit surprised when President Trump selected her to be the UN Ambassador. It looks like President Trump has learned just how trustworthy Haley is, and basically told her “Thanks for everything, Good Bye.
It looks like Nikki Haley is heading down the same path to utter irrelevance that Liz Cheney raced down in 2019-2022. Cheney is effectively out of the Republican Party, and it looks like Haley is going to be joining her. The GOP has moved on from the RINO’s TransRepublicans and NeoCons who have done so much damage. Pity they haven’t figured it out yet that no one is listening to them any longer. Goodbye Nikki. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass when you leave.
