Good day all. Things haven’t been going well with the legacy Main Stream Media. CNN is doing layoffs and losing lawsuits, ABC is settling lawsuits and now MSNBC, which has been spun off as an independent company by Comcast, has suffered a complete ratings collapse.

MSNBC is considered to be a complete joke by most people and is nothing more than a mouthpiece for the Democrat Party. Worse for them, they really suck at propaganda since no one is falling for it. Now they have posted the worst ratings in their history. Here are the details from Fox News:
MSNBC’s primetime lineup finished with its smallest January audience ever among the advertiser-coveted demographic of adults aged 25-54.
The news-heavy month featured an alleged terrorist ramming a truck through New Year’s revelers in New Orleans, shocking video of a Tesla Cybertruck exploding in front of Trump International Hotel Las Vegas, President Biden pardoning members of his family and political allies on his way out the door, President Trump’s inauguration, the fragile ceasefire between Hamas and Israel and other significant headlines as the Trump administration began with a flurry of executive orders.
Those are all major stories. The problem with this is no one was watching MSNBC to find out what was going on. Even CNN is doing better then MSNBC and CNN is circling the drain.
Despite the busy month of major news, MSNBC averaged only 63,000 demo viewers between the primetime hours of 8-11 p.m. ET to finish No. 31 among cable offerings.
That is really bad. That’s where advertisers start asking “What the Hell are we spending all this money on if there isn’t anyone actually watching that drek?
By comparison, Fox News Channel averaged 353,000 demo viewers during primetime and ratings-challenged CNN even managed an average of 118,000 demo viewers to almost double MSNBC.
As I mentioned above. CNN isn’t doing very well. They are doing layoffs of their higher priced “Talent” and look to be trying to not look like they’re nothing but shills for the Democrat Party. I don’t see it working without a major overhaul of CNN, both on air and behind the scenes.
DePauw University professor Jeffrey McCall said advertisers typically want to do business with networks that deliver viewers from the key demo.
“Advertisers seek the 25-54 demo because media consumers in that age range generally have money to spend and are not necessarily locked into brand loyalties. Younger demos have less discretionary money to spend, and older demos are more established in their consumerism habits,” McCall told Fox News Digital.
Like I said, advertisers are going to look at these ratings and compare them with other programming.
TV Land, Lifetime, Freeform, E!, Syfy, BET, Paramount, Hallmark Channel, AMC, FXX, Investigation Discovery, History, Nick-at-Nite, MTV, Discovery, Comedy Central, A&E, HGTV, FX, Adult Swim, Food Network, Bravo, ESPN 2, TLC, TBS, TNT, USA and ESPN all also outperformed MSNBC in the demo during the news-heavy month.

I don’t watch most of those networks. In fact I “Cut the Cord” and canceled my DISH TV satellite service. I simply wasn’t using it all that much. Anything I’m interested in, I can get via streaming and generally for a lot less money.
“Networks with poor showings in the 25-54 demo will appeal to a narrower range of advertisers and likely have to discount their advertising rates,” McCall said.
The Fox article goes into a lot of details of just how badly MCNBC is being beaten in the ratings. Before he was carted off by Jill “Call me Doctor, please?” Biden to an adult care facility, Joe Biden had a final sit down interview with MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell. The pushed that interview for days trying to gin up interest in it. Their actual viewership? About 97,000 people. Even their “Stars” are sinking beneath the waves.
When it comes to individual programs, 14 different Fox News programs beat MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show” among demo viewers.
“The Five,” Jesse Watters Primetime,” “Hannity,” The Ingraham Angle,” “Gutfeld!,” “Special Report with Bret Baier,” “Fox News @ Night,” “The Faulkner Focus,” “America’s Newsroom,” “Outnumbered,” “America Reports,” Martha MacCallum’s “The Story” and the p.m. ET hour combo of “Your World” and “The Will Cain Show” all outperformed “The Rachel Maddow Show” with viewers between ages 25-54.

Honestly, a cat defecating in a box of kitty litter would probably do better then Rachel Madcow these days. Even with her recent pay cut, she’s taking home millions each year and the ratings show that she just isn’t earning her keep. Add to this Comcast’s unloading MSNBC and their other cable assets, well the writing is on the wall.
MSNBC’s viewership issues come as Comcast recently announced it would spin off NBCUniversal cable assets, including MSNBC, into a separate company that will not be tied to NBC News. As a result, the fate of shared resources and editorial direction are in question.
Comcast, much like AT&T, has decided that the time has come to cut their loses. For AT&T, it was getting rid of CNN. For Comcast, it’s MSNBC. CNN has a slight chance of survival if they can clean out the Woke, hard left propaganda. MSNBC? Stick the fork in, they’re done. It might take a couple of years, but I won’t be surprised if they simply declare bankruptcy and shut down.
