Good day all. Last week the house and senate passed a continuing resolution to fund the government for about a year. If this hadn’t been passed, the government would have run out of money and not be able to borrow any additional funds.
This, sadly, has become an almost annual event. In the past, both sides, although generally the Democrats, have larded up the CR’s with additional spending. Occasionally, the Republicans would try to stop it and the government would shut down for a bit. Since the Left controlled the narrative, they would win.
This time was different. The Speaker of the House was able to corral the Republicans and pass a “Clean” meaning no pork CR. In the Senate, the Democrats intended to use the CR to push their agenda of wrecking the United States. However, this time was different. President Trump was ready for the Democrats to block the CR and with the help of Elon Musk and DOGE, euthanize large segments of the Federal Government.
UpChuck Schumer belatedly figured this out and decided that this was a fight that the Democrats not only would lose, but lose badly. He along with a few other slightly less stupid Democrats voted in favor of the clean Continuing Resolution and President Trump signed it, (With a real pen, not an autopen), into law. Now the Democrats are screaming at Schumer for caving in to President Trump, Here are the amusing details from Fox News:
Several prominent Democrats have taken aim at Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., over his decision to side with Republicans and vote for a continuing resolution to keep the federal government open.
“I believe that’s a tremendous mistake,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., told CNN’s Jake Tapper Thursday in response to Schumer’s decision. “It is almost unthinkable why Senate Democrats would vote to hand the few pieces of leverage that we have away for free when we’ve been sent here to protect Social Security, protect Medicaid and protect Medicare.”
Alexandria Occasional-Cortex, like all the Democrats, fail to see what is actually happening under President Trump. He isn’t cutting these programs, (We can debate whether they should exist or not another day), he has Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency going through the books as it were, looking for waste and fraud. They are finding billions in fraud alone. That’s money that could have gone to actual recipients, not that she cares.
Schumer, the most prominent of the trio of Democrats to support the bill, is now facing heat for that decision, including from some longtime allies.
“Let’s be clear: neither is a good option for the American people. But this false choice that some are buying instead of fighting is unacceptable,” former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said of the decision.
That drunken fool was, arguably, one of the worst Speakers in living memory. She never had and still doesn’t have the best interests of the United States or the American taxpayers at the forefront of what passes for her mind. She’s used her time in office to enrich herself and to wreck the Constitutional Republic in favor of Rule by the Democrat Elites. Frankly, she should have retired last year, but she’s just another Jurassic Politician who plans on leaving the House feet first.
Anne Caprara, the chief of staff for Democratic Illinois Gov. J.B. Prtizker, appeared to pile on, arguing on social media that Democrats should unify around resisting President Donald Trump.
“The fight going on in the Democratic Party right now is not between hard left, left and moderate. It’s between those who want to fight and those who want to cave,” Caprara said in the post. “Misread this at your own peril.”
Somehow, I think you have been misreading things. People are pretty fed up with the Democrats and their “Policies” not with President Trump. His ratings have been climbing as yours have been falling.
Meanwhile, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., refused repeated questions about whether he had confidence in Schumer at a Friday press conference urging Senate Democrats to vote against the continuing resolution.
“We do not want to shut down the government. But we are not afraid of a government funding showdown,” Jeffries said.
First, Jeffries is even dumber then San Fran Nan Pelosi. However, he does have to work with UpChuck Schumer, and it might even have sunk into his glass smooth brain that a shutdown wasn’t going to achieve what he and the other Communists Democrats expected. (He still opposed the CR if I recall correctly)
Democratic allies on television also lashed out at the Schumer decision, with CNN political commentator Van Jones arguing that the Democratic Party had to do more to push back against Trump.
“We want some alpha energy. And that’s not what we’re seeing. This party is tired of watching Donald Trump and Elon Musk run over this party, run over this country, run over the Constitution,” Jones said during a Friday appearance on the network. “And if you only have one opportunity to take a stand, and you don’t take it, it’s very difficult.”
That moron isn’t getting it. The American people have turned on the Democrat Party. We have just come off of four years of the worst, most corrupt administration in the History of the United States, and that’s saying something. Right now people are wondering if all those Executive Orders and signatures on bills and pardons were actually signed by Joe Biden or if they were signed by some staffer without Biden’s actual authorization. (That’s another story and could blow up ito a major constitutional crises)
Meanwhile, MSNBC political commentator Symone Sanders said she was “p—ed” that Schumer “folded like a paper napkin” and threatened to change her party registration to independent.
I wonder if this nitwit is on the MSNBC chopping block? The cable channel is in dire financial straits as their ratings collapse as people switch channels to watch the hypnotoad.
Now some of the Democrats figured out that they were in a no win situation, and they understand why UpChuck caved in.
“We’re stuck with two bad choices presented by a unified Republican front,” Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., who voted against the bill, said, according to a report in WTTW. “These are tough, tough calls.”
And that’s the problem for the Democrats. This didn’t used to be a tough decision, but an easy one. If they had control of both houses, they could ram through a stinking pile of manure loaded down with all sorts of kickbacks and useless spending. If the Republicans tried to fight it, the Democrats would put the blame on them for the shut down, and if the President was also a Democrat, (Such as Obama), they would do everything they could to maximize the pain to the serfs and subjects voters. Even if the Republicans held the presidency, they could still twist it in their favor.
Then came President Trump. The Deep State and the Democrats knew they couldn’t control him the way they could GW Bush, so they set out to destroy him. I don’t need to go over the last 8 years, we all lived through it. Now President Trump is back and this time, he’s ready, steady and on the attack. Schumer figured it out. It looks like very few others in the Democrat Party understand what they are facing now.
