Good day all. Since DOGE started digging into the Federal Government, they’ve identified at least $200 billion dollars in waste, fraud and outright theft. The Democrats have been enraged since the first reports came out and their gravy train started to go off the rails.
One of the things that President Trump campaigned on was cutting the budget, getting rid of multiple agencies doing the same thing as well as going after waste and, of course, fraud. This was and is the mandate of the Department Of Government Efficiency. (DOGE) They have discovered literally hundreds of billions in waste, duplication and outright fraud. Now President Trump is sending a budget proposal to Congress with around $160 billion in cuts. This has, as usual, set off the Democrats. Here are the details from the Epoch Times:
Democrats expressed their objection to President Donald Trump’s fiscal year 2026 budget proposal, criticizing the proposed big cuts to social spending programs.
The proposal pertains to “discretionary” spending, which involves all federal programs excluding entitlements like Medicare and Social Security. It seeks cuts to programs run by the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Department of Education, the National Institutes of Health, the Environmental Protection Agency, and others.
To begin with, USAID is pretty much dead. It was one of the first targets for DOGE and the levels of fraud and waste, along with borderline treason pretty much guaranteed that it was going to be shut down.
The Department of Education has long been on the GOP target list. To put it bluntly, they’ve wasted hundreds of billions of dollars since it’s inception and not educated one single child. It was set up as a money laundering site for the Teachers unions and the Democrat party. It needs to go the way of the dinosaurs.
As for the National Institutes of Health, it doesn’t just need to die, a full blown criminal investigation needs to be conducted of it’s previous management. (Anthony Fauci) We now know that it was the NIH that was paying for the Gain of Function research, in violation of several Executive orders going back to Obama, (One of the few things he got right), and helped cause the Great Panicdemic of 2020.
As for the EPA? It’s long since outlived its usefulness. The agency was set up originally to clean up all the superfund sites. That was pretty much completed decades ago. Since then it’s take on more of a totalitarian, anti-everything agenda. It’s where all the Envirowhackos went to force their religious beliefs on the Americana people and make them pay for the privileged of being oppressed.
Other entities—such as the departments of Homeland Security and Health and Human Services, the latter for a “Make America Healthy Again” initiative—will gain funds, with the net reduction in spending being $163 billion, or 22.6 percent below previous levels. Defense spending in the 2026 budget will remain unchanged from the previous year, at $892 billion, but may be increased by the ongoing budget reconciliation process for 2025, leading to an effective defense budget exceeding $1.6 trillion.
The Defense Department, (And frankly, they should restore the original name, War Department), is a black hole of spending. Currently, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is preparing to unleash DOGE on the Pentagon. He’s already canceled a few projects such as the M10 Booker gun platform. (A weapon looking for a mission) I won’t be surprised if they find hundreds of billions in waste and don’t need the additional funds from the reconciliation bill.
Democrats have long championed several programs that the administration seeks to cut, many of which were started during the Biden administration. They have vowed to oppose any bills that act upon these recommendations.
“[The budget proposal] guts healthcare, slashes education, and hollows out programs families rely on,” wrote Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) in a statement published on social media.
What UpChuck Schumer and the rest of the Kleptocrats in the Democrat, (And sadly, Republican), party are angry about is that these cuts will hit them right in their personal bank accounts. USAID was one such agency and it was discovered that billions went to Democrat controlled Non-Governmental Organizations, and very little of that money actually made it to what these NGO’s claimed it was for.
Maryland’s Gov. Wes Moore, a Democrat, said in a statement on social media that “the most vulnerable among us would pay the highest price.”
Oh this should be very entertaining.
“The president’s budget proposal would kill jobs, hollow out health care and public education, and accelerate the reckless assault on Maryland’s economy that started on January 20,” he said, referring to the day Trump returned to the White House.
Maryland is typical Blue state. It’s completely mismanaged, their public education system has failed completely, crime is out of control and the state is on the border of complete collapse, much like Kalifornistan)
Many Republicans are jubilant about the budget proposal.
“President Trump’s 2026 ‘Skinny’ Budget is a huge move in the right direction!” wrote Rep. Mark Harris (R-N.C.) on social media. “It returns our budget to pre-COVID spending by cutting $163 BILLION in wasteful, woke, and weaponized projects and programs!”
“President Trump’s budget would eliminate the Shelter and Services Program that facilitated swarms of illegal aliens into American communities and save taxpayers $650 million,” he noted.
That was one of the major problems. The Biden Maladministration and the Cabal that was actually running things, threw open the borders to millions of criminals and other illegal aliens. They then took resources meant for the American people and spent it on the illegals instead of shipping them back out of the United States.
House Republican Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) wrote on X that the request “prioritizes our nation’s security rather than Green New Scam initiatives.”
The Green New Deal was something cooked up by Alexandria Occasional-Cortex’s handlers. The end goal was the creation of a Communist, totalitarian state in the United States. If it had been enacted in full, it would have cost between $100-200 Trillion dollars, pretty much torn up the Constitution and completely collapsed the country. As it is, some of that garbage was imposed by the Democrat Regulatory State. President Trump is in the process of undoing all of that damage.
Cutting $160+ Billion from the budget is a good start, but that’s all it is, a start. We need to cut at least $1 Trillion from the budget, and preferably a lot more. We need to start paying off the National Debt before is destroys the economy of the United States.
