Good day all. This is a breaking story. Last night, Acting U.S. Attorney Alina Habba announced that charges are being brought against that fat wannabe bulldozer, Representative LaMonica McIver for, among other things, assaulting a federal agent.
I wrote about the likelihood that McIver would be charged yesterday. Yesterday, it was announced that the misdemeanor trespassing charges against the mayor of Newark were being dropped. I saw a few comments this morning about this and people were disappointed. Then the news dropped that Ms. Habba was releasing the minnow and going for the whale. Here are the details from Fox News:
Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey Alina Habba is charging Rep. LaMonica McIver for her alleged misconduct towards law enforcement in front of Delaney Hall in New Jersey earlier this month, but she is dismissing the trespassing charge against Newark Mayor Ras Baraka.
Misconduct? That’s a nice way of saying that McIver was trying to bulldoze, or perhaps it would be more accurate to say, flabdoze her way through the line of Federal Agents.
“Representative LaMonica McIver assaulted, impeded, and interfered with law enforcement in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 111 (a)(1),” Habba said in a letter shared on X Monday. “That conduct cannot be overlooked by the chief federal law enforcement official in the State of New Jersey, and it is my Constitutional obligation to ensure that our federal law enforcement is protected when executing their duties.”
As you might expect, the fat slob in question was not happy about this turn of events.
McIver responded to the charges in a statement shared on social media.
“Earlier this month, I joined my colleagues to inspect the treatment of ICE detainees at Delaney Hall in my district,” McIver said. “We were fulfilling our lawful oversight responsibilities, as members of Congress have done many times before, and our visit should have been peaceful and short. Instead, ICE agents created an unnecessary and unsafe confrontation when they chose to arrest Mayor Baraka.
Talk about projection. Those four morons decided to do a little virtue signaling and push their way into the ICE facility. That facility, as I understand it, holds some really bad people. Rapists, child molesters, thieves, etc. Basically the new base for the Democrat Party. As members of congress, they could have gained admittance if they followed the standard processes and procedures. That wouldn’t have made the news, hence the confrontation and assaults at the gates of the facility.
“The charges against me are purely political – they mischaracterize and distort my actions, and are meant to criminalize and deter legislative oversight,” she added. “This administration will never stop me from working for the people in our district and standing up for what is right. I am thankful for the outpouring of support I have received, and I look forward to the truth being laid out clearly in court.”
Oh this is going to be so much fun when it hits the courtroom. This is not a “He said, She said” deal. There is a ton of video evidence showing McIver throwing her enormous bulk at several federal agents. It will also show which side initiated everything. (Hint, it wasn’t the Federal agents)
Fox News has learned that McIver must turn herself in as soon as possible, though it is up to the magistrate on the specifics of when she must turn herself in and how.
Oh I hope she refuses to turn herself in. Then the Marshals get to come out and play. I wonder if she will be stupid enough to try and “Hide out” in congress and try to claim some sort of immunity? Considering how the Democrats over the last few days have been making threats about what would happen if she and the others were arrested, I won’t be at all surprised if they try to interfere in some way.
The arrest came as activists had been calling for access to the facility for days, which is a privately run facility that was revamped as an immigration detention facility this year. The city says that the facility is operating without a valid certificate of occupancy, whereas the GEO Group maintains that they are in full compliance with city laws.
I’m not surprised that a Democrat controlled city would decide that a federal facility wasn’t in compliance with their local laws. What I don’t know is if those are even applicable. What I don’t think the Democrat party understands is that they are on the loosing side of this. The average American is fully on board and by a very large percentage with President Trump’s actions on removing illegal aliens.
Most people are also pretty fed up with the two-tier justice system the Democrats have created. Those that the Democrats deem “Special” either don’t get charged or are hit with the absolute minimum charges for really major crimes. Those that the Democrats consider “Enemies of the State and the Democrat Party?” They throw the book at up to and including manufacturing charges. I suspect that most people will applaud if McIver is convicted and sent to a federal prison. We shall see what happens next.
