Good day all. About a week or so ago, several Democrats thought it would be a terrific idea to try and storm into an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in New Jersey. The mayor of Newark was arrested for trespassing and it looks like the three Democrat Representatives might be facing charges as well.
Since the incident, the Democrats have been denying everything. The problem has been the bodycams the federal agents were wearing. Those cameras caught everything including representative LaMonica McIver using her blubber to try and bulldoze her way through the police line. (That would be assault on a federal agent)
With the release of the footage, and the demands by Tom Homan and others in the administration that these idiots be charged, the Democrats have begun escalating their threats. One of these was the House Minority Leader, Democrat Hakeem Jeffries. Here are the details from Newsmax:
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., warned the Trump administration against arresting Democrat lawmakers who have been accused of assaulting federal immigration officers at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Newark, New Jersey, calling it a “red line.”
“They know better than to go down that road,” Jeffries told reporters at the Capitol on Tuesday, The Hill reported.
That sounds like a threat to me. I wonder what this pinhead thinks his little threat is actually going to work?
Jeffries was responding to Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin, who told CNN over the weekend that there will “likely be more arrests coming” after Friday’s protests led to the arrests of several people, including Newark Democrat Mayor Ras Baraka.
McLaughlin said there is an “ongoing investigation” and that New Jersey Democrat Reps. Bonnie Watson Coleman, Rob Menendez, and LaMonica McIver could face arrest for storming the Delaney Hall ICE detention facility.
I’ve been reading a number of posts, tweets, etc, from people who want the three representatives arrested right now. Me? I understand that this is going to take some time. There are a number of videos that need to be reviewed, they have to determine who did what and then they have to decide if what happened rose to the level of criminality.
Then you have the issue of who they are looking at. These are the elected members of Congress. While they might think they’re “Special people,” they aren’t. There are a number of “T’s” that need to be crossed and “i’s” that need to be dotted. If one or more of these boneheads is arrested and charged, AG Bondi knows what a firestorm that will unleash. Hakeem Jeffries, and several other loudmouth liberals are basically saying they will go violent.
Jeffries on Tuesday called McLaughlin a “joke,” according to The Hill.
“We’re not going to be intimidated by their tactics to try to force principled opposition from not standing up to their extremism,” Jeffries said, adding, “And so there are clear lines that they just dare not cross.”
You mean don’t uphold the law if the people being looked at are Democrats? If that isn’t what you meant, then you better clarify your statement because that is exactly what it sounds like. Speaking of which you moron, have you bothered to look at the bodycam footage of that fat slob trying to bulldoze her way past, or through the police line? I guarantee you, the DoJ is and very closely.
“Members of Congress and any public official is not above the law,” McLaughlin told Newsmax on Tuesday. “You cannot body slam, body ram, shove, strike, or otherwise assault a law enforcement officer. Everything is still on the table. I’ll leave that to the Department of Justice, but it is despicable to watch members of Congress assault law enforcement, and we will do everything we can to protect our brave law enforcement who so bravely operate this facility.”
Well it looks like Hakeem Jeffries is now going to have to put up or shut up. As I was working on this post, news broke that the interim U.S. Attorney for New Jersey, Alina Habba, is going to pursue criminal charges against Rep. LaMonica McIver. That is a breaking story and information is limited. It does look like the Democrats are going to learn the meaning of FAFO.
