Portland Police complain about “Counter-Protesters”

Good day all. Between Chicago and Portland, the United States is heading to a place we haven’t seen since 1861. Once again, the Democrats are pushing things to a point where “Bad Things” are going to happen. You would think that under the circumstances, law enforcement would be dealing with the thugs causing all the problems. You would be mistaken.

A recent email has come out indicating that certain Portland police officers are blaming people who support ICE and President Trump for all the problems. Here are the details from Fox News:

An email from a Portland police sergeant appeared to criticize three people he described as “counter-protesters” after confronting anti-U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) protesters outside an immigration facility and getting assaulted.

Excuse me? The ones who the police are blaming are the ones just standing there, engaging in their 1st Amendment rights, not breaking the law and are being attacked by Antifa? No wonder the DoJ is opening an investigation into the Portland Police Department.

The email from Sgt. Andrew Braun of the Portland Police Bureau was filed in Oregon federal court in the state’s lawsuit against President Donald Trump, and noticed by Andy Ngo, a senior editor at the Post Millennial who frequently covers Antifa and U.S. protests.

In the email, dated Sept. 21, Braun writes, “these 3 counter-protesters continue to be a chronic source of police and medical calls at ICE.”

How dare they just stand there and not threaten anyone! It’s all their fault that Antifa can’t stand them and decides to try and murder them!

The three individuals are listed as victims in the email and identified as Rhein Amacher, 35, Chelly Bouferrache, 56, and Katelyn Daviscourt, 31.

“Despite repeated advice from officers to stay away from the ICE crowd, they constantly return and antagonize the protesters until they are assaulted or pepper sprayed,” Braun writes of the three individuals in the email. “They refuse or are reluctant to walk away from these confrontations, even when police are in the area trying to meet with them.”

And this is the attitude of the Portland Police Department that shows that they can’t be trusted to uphold the law. It would also explain how someone who was just documenting what was going on was attacked by Antifa and when he went to the police, they arrested him instead. Now, who are the three people that the Portland Police considers to be the real problem.

Amacher describes himself as a “Right-wing Provocateur,” according to his associated X account. An X account associated with Bouferrache states she is a “Blue state dissident” and “Anti-Communist.” Daviscourt is an investigative reporter with the Post Millennial.

I can see Antifa going after Daviscourt. He’s showing Antifa for what they are. Communist thugs. I can’t recall seeing anything he’s done.

“The Portland Police Bureau is trying to cover for the fact that they can’t keep the city safe and, instead of acknowledge their own failures, they smear journalists like me who have been diligently covering the violence at the ICE facility,” Daviscourt told Fox News Digital in an emailed statement.

Braun’s email contended that the three victims “even engage in the same trespassing behavior on federal and trolley property as the main protesters.”

Oh I really doubt that. I suspect that they would have politely asked permission, identified themselves and if told they couldn’t, would have said thank you and moved away. This is the difference between these three and others like them and Antifa. They actually support what ICE is doing and will let the ICE agents know.

Braun also described a “disturbance” that happened on Sept. 20 outside the ICE facility involving Amacher and 12 protesters. He wrote that a protester pepper-sprayed Amacher and a second “counter-protester.”

Now my question here is, was Amacher actively threatening the “Protester?” I think the answer to that will be no. If that was the case, then this was an assault and battery with a weapon. So why wasn’t that protester arrested? I think we can guess the answer to that.

Officers searched for the pepper-spray suspect but were unsuccessful, according to Braun, who added that officers were able to avoid a confrontation with the “main crowd” of protesters. He noted that the agitated demeanor of the protesters shifted, and they began to break up as police drove through the area several times.

I doubt they looked very hard. I read about another case where a journalist was attacked by one of the Antifa thugs and the police just stood there and did nothing. The journalist followed the thug and tried to get the Portland Police to arrest her. (I believe the attacker was female) The police refused.

President Trump is actively considering using the Insurrection Act in Chicago and Portland. It’s not a step to take lightly for a whole host of reasons. Right off the bat, it would mean deploying regular Army and Marines, not the National Guard. It would also mean removing the city government from office, disbanding the police and basically taking over. If the Insurrection act is activated, it will be things like this email that will be one of the triggers.
