Good day all. Recently I posted an entry on John Brennan, the former CIA director under Obama and one of the people who organized the coup attempt against President Trump. This was right after James Comey had been indicted for lying to Congress. In the post, I mentioned that Brennan was basically whistling past the graveyard, saying that he wasn’t afraid of President Trump.
Well, it looks like he may get his chance to show how tough he is. The House Judiciary has sent a recommendation to the DoJ to prosecute Brennan for perjury. Here are the details from the Federalist:
The House Judiciary Committee referred former CIA Director John Brennan to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution on Tuesday over allegations that he “knowingly made false statements” to Congress about his role in the Russia collusion hoax.
In the letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi obtained by The Federalist, Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, argued that “Brennan made numerous willfully and intentionally false statements of material fact contradicted by the record established by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) and the CIA.”
“Making false statements before Congress,” Jordan wrote, “is a crime that undermines the integrity of the Committee’s constitutional duty to conduct oversight.”
If I recall correctly, this was the same thing they said regarding the former FBI director, James Comey. Initially, the Statue of Limitations was about to run out on Comey, and the federal prosecutor who should have filed charges pretty much refused to and appeared to be trying to slow walk things to let the Statute of Limitations run out. He was fired and shortly after, the indictment was handed down. I don’t think there is any danger of the Statute of Limitations running out for Brennan.
The referral highlights numerous instances in which Brennan allegedly issued untrue remarks when testifying before the Judiciary Committee in May 2023. Among them are comments the former CIA director made when discussing his agency’s role in helping craft the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) that advanced the false narrative that Russia “developed a clear preference” for Donald Trump and “aspired to help” him win the 2016 election.
Brennan was hip deep in the conspiracy to overthrow the Trump administration. He knew on day one that the “Russia Dossier” was nothing but an attack file paid for by Felonia von Pantsuit. If Brennan were an actual, honest and patriotic American, and not the Communist sympathizer he is, he would have shut the whole thing down immediately. He didn’t because he was all in on getting Felonia von Pantsuit elected. When that failed, Plan B was activated in operation Get Trump!
As noted by Jordan, “This conclusion — now known to be false — was based in part on the Steele dossier,” a series of reports containing salacious and unproven allegations about Trump that was bought and paid for by the Hillary Clinton campaign’s law firm. The dossier was ultimately shopped to the FBI in early July 2016 and later used by the agency to obtain a warrant to spy on Trump campaign official Carter Page.
The warrants issued are an entirely different kettle of fish. The requesting agents flat out lied on the warrant application. To my knowledge, nothing has happened to them. It’s possible that Director Patel simply hasn’t gotten to them yet. This brings us to Brennan’s congressional testimony and the lies he told the oversight committee.
When asked by then-Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., about whether he was “involved in analyzing” the dossier, Brennan claimed, “No, I was not involved in analyzing the dossier at all.”
“I said the first time I actually saw it, it was after the election. And the CIA was not involved at all with the dossier. You can direct that to the FBI and to others,” Brennan said.
According to the aforementioned HPSCI report, however, the CIA was not only involved in the decision to include the dossier in the ICA, but that Brennan overrode the objections of CIA officials concerned about its inclusion in the assessment due to its lack of substantiation.
This was the proverbial tip of the iceberg. The CIA did look at the dossier but senior, and I guess more honest, officials had some serious questions about the dossier and didn’t want it included in the ICA. Brennan, because he is a lying sleaze, overrode their objections.
Brennan’s role in overriding senior CIA officials’ objections to the dossier’s inclusion in the ICA also appears to contradict testimony he gave to Congress, according to Jordan.
That is what will sink John Brennan. That arrogant asshole forgot about the paper trail. The FBI and DoJ tried to hide all of the documents they used to try and railroad President Trump. They never thought he would be back in the White House and that he would bring in people who were also victims of the Biden Maladministration. These documents are what are sinking James Comey and now they are going to be used to torpedo John Brennan.
I expect we will be hearing abut the grand jury handing down an indictment sometime in the next few weeks. After that, it will be in the hands of a jury. Now the question is, who’s next? I suspect that James Clapper had better start looking behind himself. I also expect the Deep State and the Democrats to continue screaming “LAWFARE” as each member of the “Cabal” is taken down. Who knows? The Bondi DoJ might even be able to build a case for conspiracy against these losers. We shall see of course.
