Good day all. Since President Trump was sworn back into office and began keeping his promises, the Democrats have been using their Obama and Biden judges, with a sprinkling of Clinton judges to thwart the will of the voters. One of the main targets have been the actions of the Border Control and Immigration and Customs Enforcement in rounding up illegal aliens.
The district court judges have been trying to obstruct both the Trump administration and ICE almost since day one. They have been routinely slapped down by the Supreme Court. Now yet another Obama judge has decided that she is in charge and issued an order that she will oversee operations. Here are the details from the Washington Times:
A U.S. district judge chastised the Homeland Security Department on Tuesday over agents’ suppression of anti-ICE protests on the streets of Chicago and put herself in a position to oversee operations, demanding body-worn cameras for all personnel and ordering daily briefings from the commander on the scene.
Chicago is one of the main Democrat controlled and mismanaged cities that has seen outright attacks by Antifa and other idiots on ICE agents. Some of these have reached the point of shots fired as agents were forced to use live ammunition to protect themselves. Lower down, they have been using the standard anti-riot tools, rubber bullets and tear gas. This judge has decided that ICE should be using these systems.
Judge Sara Ellis said she didn’t want to take over the Chicago immigration enforcement operation but suspected authorities had violated her restraining order curtailing the use of aggressive riot control tactics.
ICE and DHS didn’t violate her restraining order, they flat out ignored it. This upset that tyrannical bitch and she ordered the Border Control Commander to report to her.
Judge Ellis ordered Gregory Bovino, Border Patrol commander-at-large, to personally deliver an update every weekday evening so she could understand the situation. She fretted specifically over reports that tear gas was used on a crowd over the weekend near where children were preparing for a Halloween celebration.
“Kids dressed in Halloween costumes walking to a parade do not pose an immediate threat to the safety of a law enforcement officer,” the judge said. “You can’t use riot control weapons against them.”
The problem isn’t children in costumes, it’s Antifa trying to murder federal agents. The federal agents have no interest in harming children and will go out of their way to protect the. The problem is these terrorists are, like all terrorists, hiding behind the children.
She said video from the streets indicated that agents had violated a restraining order she issued last week banning the use of tear gas or other riot control munitions without an immediate threat.
There was a small problem with that video. It was taken by those actively involved and was, if not edited, shot in a way to make them look like innocent protesters. Unfortunately for Ellis, DHS had their own videos.
Homeland Security released a video on social media as the hearing began. The footage, based on protesters’ claims, challenged some of the judge’s conclusions.
The video shows events last week surrounding the highest-profile clash yet, in the Little Village neighborhood. Chief Bovino personally used tear gas despite the judge’s restraining order.
Like I stated previously, they are ignoring the order. It’s use tear gas or move on to the use of lethal force. I wonder what that idiot judge would say if federal agents were forced to shoot these terrorists instead of making them miserable?
In the video, one agent was clearly warning that tear gas could be used if protesters didn’t back up. The video also seemed to capture repeated instances of rocks or other dense objects tossed at the agents, including Chief Bovino.
The story goes on, basically showing that Ellis was actively interfering with ICE operations in ways that put agents in physical jeopardy. As you would expect, the DoJ appealed her order to the 7th Circuit court of appeals. They slapped her down hard, issuing a writ of mandamus. Here are some of those details from the Daily Caller:
A federal appeals court blocked an Obama-appointed judge’s demand that a top Border Patrol official report to her daily about the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown in Chicago.
U.S. District Judge Sara Ellis, appointed to the bench in Illinois by President Barack Obama, ordered Chief Border Patrol Agent Gregory Bovino on Tuesday to give her daily in-person updates on the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement operations throughout Chicago. Just before Bovino was to give his first report to the judge on Wednesday, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals paused the order.
The court didn’t just issue an order, they issued a writ of mandamus. According Wikipedia, the purpose of mandamus is to remedy defects of justice. Basically, they said that Ellis had gone way over the line.
“IT IS ORDERED that the government’s request for an administrative stay is GRANTED,” stated a one-page decision by the appeals court. “Pending a decision on the petition for a writ of mandamus, the district court’s October 28, 2025 order is temporarily STAYED only to the extent it required Gregory Bovino to appear in court, in person, each weekday at 5:45 PM.”
This was in response to Ellis ordering Bovino to report to her every day and also that all ICE agents be equipped with bodycams. As I understand it, the only reason the agents aren’t wearing them is that they just aren’t available. The agents and police officers wearing the bodycams have had the footage used, not against them, but against all the Antifa terrorists, the general leftard idiots and a couple of elected officials. Judge Ellis’s actions and orders are unprecedented.
“I’ve been a lawyer for almost 50 years, and I’ve never seen anything like this,” Phillip Turner, a former federal prosecutor in Chicago, told the Associated Press about Ellis’ order.
That should tell you just how out of control far to many of these judges are. Now the order does tell the agents to wear bodycams, but as I said, that usually doesn’t work out the way a lot of anti-law enforcement types think it will. Nowadays, law enforcement officials, unless they are bad ones, don’t mind the bodycams. They understand that in many cases, it will actually protect them from lies by criminals.
Now as to what happens next? This mess is probably going to end up in front of the Supreme Court and they will, once again slap down another district court judge. After that, I think we’re going to see momentum to have Congress do something about these judges. Obviously, there are those who want to impeach them. The problem will be the Democrats. They will protect these judicial criminals.
That leaves the “Nuclear Option.” That would be congress dissolving the inferior courts, basically all the courts below the Supreme Court, which would send all the judges into forced retirement. Then the congress could recreate the inferior courts with President Trump appointing hundreds of new judges. Of the two possibilities, that is the one I would love to see. As to whether or not either of these options happens, I can’t say, I do know that the judicial branch is not doing itself any favors with these blatantly political and unlawful rulings. Perhaps Justice Roberts will finally get off his dead ass and do his job.
