Good day all. UpChuck Schumer has been in government for pretty much his entire adult life. His goals have always been his own wealth and power, followed by the goals of the Democrat Party. Not even showing up on the list were the United States or the American people.

UpChuck’s climb to power finally reached the Senate Minority Leader. However, he has long thought that he’s the one actually in charge. With the recent budget impasse, Schumer has thought he was now in the catbird seat and could use this “Schumer Shutdown” as a way to increase his personal power and take control of the Senate.

However, there has been a small glitch in his cunning plan. That glitch is President Trump. He has a mandate to reduce the size of government and deport all the illegal aliens. These are two things that Schumer is opposed to. In fact, it was his demands that President Trump and the Republicans basically undo all the cuts in the Democrats kickback system and cough up a Trillion dollars for illegal aliens that caused the shutdown.
The Republican House sent over a “Clean” Continuing Resolution designed to pay for the government for a few weeks while they finish the budget. Since this didn’t give the Democrats what they wanted, unlimited access to the treasury, UpChuck and the Senate Democrats filibustered the CR, and now the government is closed. (Not actually closed enough, but it’s a start)
What UpChuck and the other Democrats missed was that shutting down the government put a tremendous amount of power into the hands of President Trump. He now has the authority to determine what parts of the government are critical, (Military and law enforcement), and what isn’t. (Things like the Department of Education)

Now that things are backfiring on UpChuck, he wants to see if he can somehow back out of the mess he’s in. The problem is that he’s dealing with a Democrat Party that has, for all intents and purposes, gone full blown Communist. There are also rumors that Alexandria Occasional-Cortex might actually be looking to primary Schumer. This is why Schumer isn’t backing down. He’s afraid for his job. However, there are now new rumors that UpChuck Schumer may want to retire. Here are the details from Townhall:
Is Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) going to retire? Townhall has been hearing whispers from some senior Democratic sources that the longtime New York Senator could be retiring from public life for numerous reasons, not least being that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) could make good on her move to primary him.
Now, AOC venturing outside the state could be an early move to consolidate her national constituency for a 2028 presidential run, which she could do, but she has options. And this seat is gettable for her: Schumer is not well-liked among Democratic voters, and his fundraising has been abysmal.
Alexandria Occasional-Cortex has a very high opinion of herself. No one else does. Even her own constituents are fed up with her antics and her only showing up when she needs them to reelect her. While she might do OK in New York City, which is in the process of going Stalinist, she might not do that well in the rest of the state. As for being President?

It’s historic, really. Schumer posted his worst fundraising quarter ever, with only a little over $133,00 raised in Q3. He also only has $8.3 million in the bank. That’s not enough. Democrats writ large are facing a fundraising shortage as disgruntled Democrats refuse to fork over cash, especially after Kamala Harris spent the equivalent of the GDP of Argentina in 2024 and got taken to the cleaners by Trump.
It’s not just Schumer who’s having issues squeezing money from their Billionaire buddies. They were badly burned when Kackling Kamala set fire to $2 billion dollars and lost in a landslide. Then we’re seeing the flat out calls for violence against the Republicans that led to the assassination of Charlie Kirk as well as several other murders. Finally, they also seeing just how badly damaged the Democrats are and how much they are hemorrhaging support.
Liberal voters are still mad that he caved during the first spending fight, and he seems all-around ineffective. Even congressional Democrats, like Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), admitted to that on a NewsNation town hall last night.

The leadership problem the Democrats have is one that Republicans have had off and on over the decades. In the case of House Minority leader Hiccup Jeffries, he’s just plain stupid. Generally, the GOP doesn’t put stupid people into leadership, but they do put ones who are weak, corrupt or who have become part of the Deep State Uniparty. Johnson started out slow, but he seems to be learning on the job.
In the Senate, for years we had Cocaine Mitch McConnell. Up until recently, he was a master at playing “The Game” in Washington. However, when President Trump was elected the first time, McConnell failed to grasp that he was there to overturn the board game. About the only thing he agreed with President Trump on was getting good judges on the Bench.

The other problem with McConnell is that he was more interested in maintaining his personal position, power and wealth then he was in actually doing what he was elected to do. In this, he was a lot like UpChuck Schumer. He was finally pushed aside by John Thune, (Who I also have issues with), and is retiring at the end of this term, provided he doesn’t drop dead first.
UpChuck Schumer isn’t all that competent. What he is, is a vicious little snake. He will put himself first, the Party second and everyone else can just shut up and do what he tells them to do. He could “work” with McConnell since they are two peas in a deep state pod. Thune appears to have a spine implant and is not giving in to the Democrats demands.
Now the question is, just who would the Democrats replace Schumer with? Most of the senior Democrats have the same problem as Schumer, and a number of them might just be voted out in the next election. The “Younger” members are flat out communists who, if given the chance, would tear up the constitution once and for all and impose a single party, socialist government on the United States. Even Schumer knows that would be virtual suicide for the Democrat Party.

I don’t think Schumer is actually looking to retire. I think what’s happening is that certain members of the Democrat Party are in the early phases of pushing him out of his leadership position. The problem with that is, Schumer isn’t mentally collapsing the way McConnell has, and he is to wedded to his power to willingly give it up.
As for AOC running against him? I do believe that Schumer is worried about it, but he will also be ready to hammer the little socialist flatter then a pancake politically speaking. Also, Schumer isn’t due to run again until 2028. By then, New York City will be a bankrupt Hellscape after a few years with the Communist that everyone expects to take office. (Mamdani) If this does happen, it will be used by the Republicans to crush the Democrat party. AOC will be very lucky to hold on to her seat in 2026. As for me? I’m going to sit back and enjoy the show.
