Good day all. Since President Trump returned to office, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been very busy rounding up and deporting the millions of illegal aliens that the Biden Maladministration invited to invade the United States.
ICE has been very successful in their activities, with almost a million illegal aliens already being evicted. Another 1-2 million other illegals decided to self deport. One group upset over the deportations and the actions of ICE agents are Democrats. They are seeing all their future voters and current servants being taken away from them.
This is something that the Progressive Liberal Democrats can not and will not tolerate. They have been attacking ICE agents, originally with words, but of late, physically. Now the Democrats are demanding that Blue city and state officials start arresting Federal agents who are doing their jobs. One of these was former Speaker of the House, Nancy “San Fran Nan” Pelosi. She is now demanding that Kalifornistan law enforcement arrest ICE agents. Here are some of the details from Town Hall:
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) joined with California Democratic Rep. Kevin Mullin (CA-15) in a statement threatening ICE agents with arrest if they conduct immigration enforcement actions in the Bay Area.
“Reports of a planned mass immigration raid in the Bay Area are an appalling abuse of law enforcement power,” the statement read. “Broad sweeps that target families and terrorize law-abiding residents betray our nation’s values and waste resources that should focus on real threats to public safety.”
ICE isn’t “Targeting” American citizens or lawful resident aliens. They are going after illegal aliens with the priority on those who have committed other crimes as well. In other words, they are going after the real threats to public safety, unlike you and the rest of the Democrat Party, who are actively aiding and abetting these criminals.
“It is important to note that California law protects communities and prevents federal agents from taking certain actions here that we have witnessed in other states. While the President may enjoy absolute immunity courtesy of his rogue Supreme Court, those who operate under his orders do not. Our state and local authorities may arrest federal agents if they break California law — and if they are convicted, the President cannot pardon them.
“The people of San Francisco will continue to stand with the patriotic immigrants who are the constant reinvigoration of America. We will not be intimidated by politically motivated fear tactics.”
Nancy Pelosi has always been a classic Karen. However, even that drunken cow should know that Federal law trumps state laws. Any attempt by local authorities to block federal agents when they are enforcing federal laws is against the law. As to where they got this stupid idea, it’s from another Soros DA.
San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins may have been the one to come up with the idea, according to The New York Times.
Ms. Jenkins said in an interview on Wednesday that she came up with the strategy after seeing federal agents repeatedly roughing up people in Los Angeles and Chicago.
By “Roughing up,” do you mean defending themselves when they are physically assaulted and in several cases, fired on and then taking down the attackers?
If federal agents came to her city and did the same, District Attorney Jenkins decided, she would treat them like anybody else breaking the law and would seek to prosecute them.
Oh good luck with that.
Hit people with batons? Beat them up? Not on her watch, she said.
“I had lead time to think about what authority I have and what I can do,” she said. “This is something I felt very strongly about, and I had my office research it.”
District Attorney Jenkins said she had communicated with the San Francisco Police Department about arresting federal agents for “clear, excessive use of force” and that the agency was on board with the concept. A spokesman for the department did not return a request for comment on Wednesday.
I suspect that the reason they aren’t commenting is that they know that the rank and files officers will flat out refuse to carry out any order to arrest federal agents.
District Attorney Jenkins said she did not envision police officers handcuffing federal agents in full view on city streets. Instead, she said, local law enforcement could review camera footage of beatings, if they occur, and try to identify the agent involved. Then, she said, she would ask a judge to sign a warrant for the agent’s arrest and seek to prosecute the agent in court.
Congratulations! You have just announced that you are prepared to commit an act of insurrection. While I have no doubt you can find some idiot Leftard judge to sign the warrant, good luck executing that warrant. If the local police attempt to arrest federal agents, there is a very good chance that they are going to be facing people with automatic weapons and the Pentagon on speed dial.
In any case, the DoJ is not rolling over for Pelosi or any of the other treasonous lunatics running the Blue cities and states, (Generally into the ground). They have responded in no uncertain terms. Here are those details from Fox News:
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s comments calling for the arrest of federal ICE agents drew fiery criticism Friday and a letter of warning from the Trump administration. Rep. Pelosi, D-Calif., said in a statement earlier this week that local police could “arrest federal agents if they break California law.”
And this is when the DoJ responded, basically threatening Pelosi and the others. (In a legal manner of course)
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche pushed back. He said local officers have no authority to detain federal officers carrying out their duties.
“You cannot touch federal agents when they’re doing their job,” Blanche said on “Fox & Friends” Friday.
“That’s something that they know. It’s something that we reminded them of last night, because if you do, you’re committing a crime.”
Blanche was referring to a letter he sent Thursday to top California officials, including Pelosi and Gov. Gavin Newsom, warning them not to interfere with federal law enforcement operations. The letter stated that arresting federal agents during official duties is “illegal and futile.”
Which is correct. The agents are operating under Article VI, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution. This is known as the “Supremacy Clause” and it reads:
This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.
This also means that the judges that the Soros DA in San Francisco thinks will sign off on an arrest warrant will be in direct violation of the Constitution of the United States. It will also put them at risk for arrest as well. Now if a Federal Agent actually does break a local law and it isn’t while acting on federal laws, there are processes and procedures to take him or her into custody. Obviously, that isn’t what Pelosi, Mullin or Jenkins intend to follow.
Pelosi’s comments follow similar criticism of ICE operations from other Democratic leaders, including Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker.
“If you’re an ICE agent, and you do these things, we think you ought to be held accountable. And yet no one in Washington, no one above them, no supervisor, no inspector general is holding anybody accountable,” Pritzker said on “Special Report” Thursday.
“There literally haven’t been any suspensions or firings for the terrible things that they’ve done,” he added.
Of course there haven’t been any suspensions or firings. The agents are doing their job. They are enforcing the law, something you have a long history of not doing, hence the out of control crime in Chicago. I would be surprised if Pritzker isn’t the first Governor indicted over interfering with Federal Law Enforcement agents.
Pelosi is simply another of the Democrat Party elites who are actively pushing this country to a full blown civil war. However, she is likely to be out of office soon. Since she’s out of the leadership, and is yet another Jurassic Politician, she may not run for reelection next year. Even if she does, there are reports that she will be primaried by an even more left wing Kalifornistan totalitarian. Of course, when, not if, the Democrats take that one step to far, Pelosi might find herself in a nice federal retirement prison.
The Democrat party and their useful idiots have chosen the hill they are going to die on as a political party. They are losing more and more people they have considered their “Property” to the Republicans or just moving into the Independent column. If the Republicans play their cards right, for like the first time ever, the Democrat party will collapse and potentially break apart into different camps. We can only hope.
