Good day all. One of the most corrupt of the Anti-Trump Democrat judges in the country, James Boasberg, has been actively interfering and abusing his authority for years. However, in recent months, thanks to the hard work of FBI Director Kash Patel, we’re now learning just how evil Boasberg actually is.
Since President Trump returned to office and started rounding up and shipping out the worst of the worst illegal aliens, Boasberg has usurped authority he doesn’t have, up to and including ordering a planeload of illegals turned around and flown back to the United States. (That was ignored by the Administration)
More recently, thanks to the discovery of Operation Arctic Frost and how it was aimed at President Trump and essentially the entire Republican delegation, the Congress has had it with the activist judges. Well, to be specific, the Republicans have. The Democrats have been just fine with these judges since they are doing what the Democrats want.
However, what has just come out was how involved with the Lawfare against President Trump and the Republicans Judge James Boasberg actually was. There is a lot going on, but to start with, here are some of the details from Fox News:
Republican senators issued a torrent of criticism against U.S. District Judge James Boasberg this week after it was revealed that he had signed off on subpoenas and gag orders issued as part of former Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation — though a cursory review of court rules suggests it is far less provocative than lawmakers have claimed.
Perhaps the Fox reporter did more than a cursory review she might have found out just how egregious Boasberg’s actions have been. He’s been slapped down by SCOTUS several times for his overreach.
Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., were among the Republicans who blasted Boasberg as an “activist” judge, and Cruz, for his part, suggested Boasberg should be impeached.
“My assumption,” Cruz fumed, is “that Judge Boasberg printed these things out like the placemats at Denny’s — one after the other.”
In my research, I found that a bill of impeachment against this tool was filed last March. According to The Hill:
Rep. Brandon Gill (R-Texas) introduced a resolution to impeach U.S. District Judge James Boasberg, who over the weekend ordered the Trump administration to halt deportations of Venezuelans whom it said were gang members.
The move comes as President Trump is also calling for Boasberg’s impeachment, as the administration argues that his ruling, blocking Trump from invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to swiftly deport the migrants, was not lawful.
I recall this, and I didn’t think much would come of it. However, the bill hasn’t been withdrawn and now, with the additional information coming out on just how abusive Boasberg has been to the Constitution, President Trump and the Republican members of Congress, I have a feeling that this bill is going to be amended with additional “Charges” and really pushed especially since it looks like Boasberg might have broken the law. Here are those details from Breccan F. Thies of The Federalist:
Judge James Boasberg, the lawfare fanatic serving as the chief judge of the U.S. District Court for D.C., issued an order intended to conceal the Biden administration’s attempted seizure of Sen. Ted Cruz’s phone records. In doing so, it appears he likely violated federal law.
According to Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, as part of the Biden administration’s “Arctic Frost” inquiry dead set on targeting Republicans in battleground states, Special Counsel Jack Smith, who led the get-Trump lawfare for years, “secretly obtained phone record data from at least eight senators and one congressman.”
I’ve written many posts on Jack Smith, and it looks like he may get his own personal comeuppance. When the news broke that Smith had been going after the phone records of various Republicans, most of whom support President Trump, all Hell broke loose. I won’t bother going into how shady Smith’s appointment was, it’s already been covered. What has come out now was that Smith was running off to Judge James Boasberg for his subpoenas and Boasberg, who hates President Trump, happily approved them.
The Biden Department of Justice tried to seize Cruz’s “cell phone communications,” according to the senator, and Boasberg signed off on a “nondisclosure” gag order on AT&T that would have kept the telecommunications company from notifying Cruz of the seizure for at least a year. According to Boasberg’s order, obtained by Cruz, “The court finds reasonable grounds to believe that such disclosure will result in destruction of, or tampering with evidence, intimidation of potential witnesses, and serious jeopardy to the investigation.”
There is “precisely zero evidence to conclude that I am likely to destroy or tamper with evidence or to intimidate potential witnesses,” Cruz said. “Zero evidentiary basis for that. This order is an abuse of power. This order is a weaponized legal system.”
That Boasberg even said this shows just how corrupt he actually is. He was all in with the Biden Maladministration’s lawfare activities and more than happy to help Smith with his fishing expeditions regardless of the Constitution and apparently, the law.
But aside from the bogus basis for the gag order, Boasberg actually appears to have violated federal law in issuing the order in the first place.
“If this phone was an official phone (I suspect it was), then this was likely in violation of 2 U.S.C. 6628. If Smith or Boasberg violated that statute, it’s a very serious problem that probably justifies a bar investigation and could predicate an impeachment inquiry,” Mike Fragoso, fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, noted.
I looked up the law in question. The short version is that if the phone in question was issued by the Sargent At Arms, then he can’t be barred from notifying the user of the phone. It doesn’t matter what the Courts say about this.
That law bans gag orders on the collection of Senate data and communications, and requires notice to the Senate to give it the opportunity to stop any subpoenas on separation of powers grounds. The statute also requires that courts stop those subpoenas if the Senate opposes them.
Not only did Boasberg not shut down the subpoenas, he specifically ordered that Senator Cruz not be told.
As The Federalist CEO Sean Davis pointed out, “Boasberg issued the illegal gag order precisely to prevent the Senate from going to court to vindicate its rights.” In other words, the Senate would never have been able to stop the surveillance because it never knew about it — and that was the point because “he knew the Senate would have IMMEDIATELY gone to court to nuke the Biden administration’s illegal spying against at least eight U.S. senators.”
That wouldn’t have been the only thing nuked. Garland, Wray and Smith would have been hauled up in front of an oversight committee and raked over the coals. I have the suspicion that Boasberg, along with the Biden Maladministration, never thought President Trump would be reelected to the Presidency. How wrong they were and now the bill is coming due. Returning to the Fox News story:
The redacted documents were made public this week by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa. They included subpoenas of phone records for 10 senators and one House lawmaker, and gag orders sent to Verizon and AT&T instructing them not to notify lawmakers of the subpoena. (Verizon complied, but AT&T did not.)
I have my issues with Sen. Grassley. He is another of the Jurassic Pols who have been in office since the Wilson administration, however, he has been doing yeoman’s work digging out the complete corruption of not just the Biden maladministration, but also some of the actions of the Obama maladministration. However, Arctic Frost is blowing up in a way we haven’t seen since the Watergate scandal.
Both the subpoenas and gag orders were signed by U.S. District Judge James Boasberg, according to the newly released documents — a detail that prompted fresh criticism and indignation from some of the Republicans in question, including Cruz, who blasted the investigation in question as “worse than Watergate” and a gross violation of prosecutorial powers.
Now we come to a part of the Fox story that makes me wonder about the author of it. Perhaps she’s trying to be “Fair and balanced.”
In fact, his role in the process is far from surprising. Local rules for the federal court system in D.C. explicitly state the chief judge “must hear and determine all proceedings before the grand jury.” The subpoenas and gag orders signed by Boasberg were signed in May 2023 — roughly two months into his tenure as the chief judge for the federal court. It’s unclear whether Sens. Cruz or Blackburn were aware of this rule, and they did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
It doesn’t matter if what I just quoted from the Federalist story is correct. If the phones were issued by and controlled by the Sargent at Arms, then the law is clear. Boasberg was forbidden from issuing the gag orders. This overrides whatever “local rules” that the courts had in place. Now I will be kind and say that the author of the Fox piece wasn’t aware of that statue. The alternative is that she is trying to cover up for Boasberg.

Now the question arises, what happens next? We have been watching the Obama and Biden judges, with a sprinkling of other judges, flat out ignoring the Constitutional separation of powers. A few have become so blatant about it, that they are ignoring the instruction from the Supreme Court. It’s time to make an example of a few of these judges and a good place to start is with James Boasberg. Impeach him asap and then force the Democrats to protect him, even with the overwhelming evidence of his lawless actions.
***UPDATE***
I read a report that a bill of impeachment has been filed against Boeaberg. I’ll have more on that later.
