After 5 years, the J6 bomber has been captured

Good day all. This is a breaking story. Today, December 5th, the FBI arrested a suspect in the pipe bombing incident during the January 6th protests.

Obviously, the 72 hour rule is in effect. For those who may have forgotten, two pipe bombs were found in Washington D.C. during the protest. One was at the Republican headquarters and the other was at the Democrat headquarters. Neither device went off, however the investigation stalled until recently. Today, December 4th, the FBI arrested a suspect in Virginia. Here are the details from the Western Journal:

Federal authorities arrested 30-year-old Brian Cole of Woodbridge, Virginia, outside Washington, D.C., on Thursday.

What makes this interesting was that, according to the FBI, no new information was found.

The Biden Administration’s FBI reportedly had all the information it needed to identify the person who placed pipe bombs near the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee and the Republican National Committee in Washington, D.C., on the evening of Jan. 5, 2021.

As you can imagine, this is going to add to all the conspiracy theories that have come out since the devices were first found. Obviously, the left blamed the protesters and conservatives. With the lack of progress, the conspiracy theorists said it was a false flag operation by the Deep State. That no new information was developed does make one wonder what the Hell Christopher Wray was doing.

MS Now reported, “The FBI’s case against the suspect is not based on a new breakthrough, according to two sources, but instead on a review the FBI conducted in recent weeks of evidence that had already been gathered and which the department had in its possession.?The sources requested anonymity to speak freely about a sensitive case. That voluminous trove of material was largely collected in 2021 and 2022.

First, MS Now? How would they get any real information? MS Now was MSNBC and no one with any functioning brain cells talks to them unless they get paid. However, other sources also say that it was just going through all the evidence they already had. Why this wasn’t done before is something that disgraced FBI director Christopher Wray needs to answer. I suspect the reason was simple. The FBI was to busy going after anyone who was within 500 miles of Washington on January 6th, 2021 and couldn’t be bothered.

The suspect’s arrest is expected to cause significant embarrassment for the bureau and the enormous team it assigned to the pipe bomb investigation, the two sources said, because the suspect could have been arrested years ago if investigators had earlier connected the dots they already had in hand,” the outlet added.

This development could also be seen as a vindication of Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino, who has long focused on the pipe bomb case and had urged the bureau to redouble its efforts to solve the case when he took office.”

Considering all the things that Dan Bongino has had to do since his appointment, this is a major win. Best of all, they took this guy alive so they can get some real information out of him. I’ll bet that the suspect thought he had gotten away with this. If we still had the same people in place at the DoJ and FBI, he probably would have.

The bombs, which did not detonate, were discovered on Jan. 6, 2021, shortly before the Capitol incursion. Some speculated that the devices were intended to divert police resources from the Capitol grounds.

From the latest reports on the suspect, that doesn’t appear to be the case. It looks like this is yet another Antifa thug. I wonder what else they will find once they really start digging into what he’s been up to for the last 5 years?

Over the past four years, a dedicated team of FBI agents, analysts, data scientists, and law enforcement partners has visited more than 1,200 residences and businesses, conducted more than 1,000 interviews, reviewed approximately 39,000 video files, and assessed more than 600 tips about who may have placed pipe bombs on Capitol Hill in January 2021,” David Sundberg, then-assistant director in charge of the FBI Washington Field Office, said in January.

If you recall the pictures from the various cameras, the suspect was wearing heavy cloths and a face mask. This was when the Panicdemic was really starting to ramp up so it wasn’t that unusual at the time.

The most distinctive item of clothing the suspect was wearing was a pair of Nike Air Max Speed Turf shoes, he noted. Fewer than 25,000 of these shoes were sold between August 2018 and January 2021.

Now that is an actual lead. Anyone who has watched a police show knows that when they get something like this, they start with any local distributors or if this came from Amazon, anyplace within 50 miles of Washington where the shows may have been delivered to. Was it possible that the moron suspect came from New Mexico? Of course it was, but not all that likely. I wonder if the FBI at the time had ever watched any of those shows?

The House GOP report issued in January said, “The Department of Justice has claimed that the FBI has pursued its investigations of Americans following the events at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, with ‘unprecedented speed and scale.’”

At first, it probably was. Then the DoJ move on to more important things, like the lawfare against President Trump and the Republican party.

In fact, the Department has charged ‘more than 1,532 individuals … in nearly all 50 states for crimes related to the breach of the U.S. Capitol.’ In contrast, after more than 1,400 days since two pipe bombs were placed on Capitol Hill, the FBI has made no arrest and has charged no individuals with planting the explosive devices,” the report said.

And then in comes President Donald Trump. He gets rid of Wray and appoints Kash Patel. Patel then brings on Dan Bongino and I’m guessing, turned him loose. I’m going to hazard a guess that the team that Patel and Bongino assembled probably got to work no earlier then 4-6 months ago. That should tell you a few things about the Wray FBI.

Three possibilities would seem to be the reason it took so long. First, the Biden-led FBI was genuinely incompetent, and it took new leadership under Bongino and FBI Director Kash Patel to refocus the bureau.

A second possibility is that the Biden administration did not like the political motive behind the bombing suspect, so it buried the investigation’s findings.

A third possibility is that the case against Cole is not strong enough to gain a conviction, so the Biden DOJ and FBI chose not to take the risk of going after him.

I suspect it’s a combination of the first and second possibilities. Wray was incompetent and they might have discovered something that would have thrown off the narrative that the Biden Maladministration was pushing. That this was part of the January 6th Protest. (It never was. All the lethal forces that occurred that day was by the police against unarmed citizens)

The last possibility seems the least likely, because if there were any reasonable probable cause that Cole did it, the bureau would certainly obtain a search warrant, given that bombs were involved.

One question that has been kicking around the conspiracy theory circles was that the IEDs didn’t have either detonators, explosives or that the timers were never actually set up to make the things go BOOM. I’m sure that will come out at the trial.

Time will tell, but what is known is that it took the Trump FBI to actually make the arrest, nearly five years after the incident.

Now all the fun legal things begin. I suspect it won’t be until next summer at the earliest before the suspect goes on trial. After that, it’s all up to the jury. We shall see what shakes out. I do know that this is yet another hit to the reputation of Christopher Wray and Merrick Garland. The worst case for these two is that they decided to bury the case because the preliminary information didn’t point to the people they wanted it to point to.
