Good day all. In the last few months, thanks to FBI director Patel, we have been seeing just how utterly corrupt the Biden/Garland DoJ was. We know about the lawfare against President Trump, Republicans and Trump supporters. Now we’re finding out how they went after, or considered going after Democrats who dared to not Party instructions.
One of these people was former Senator Kyrsten Sinema. She couldn’t stomach the stupidity of the Democrat Party and in 2022 left the Democrats and became an Independent. For daring to leave the Democrat party, there was a discussion in the DoJ of prosecuting her. Here are the details from the New York Post:
Officials in President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice and FBI considered opening a criminal investigation into then-Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-Ariz.) for purported campaign finance law violations months after she left the Democratic Party, according to emails reviewed by The Post.
I checked my archives, and it looks like the only real mention I have of Kyrsten Sinema was a post when she announced she was not seeking reelection in 2024. Reviewing it, I was not kind to her. However, I didn’t demand that she be arrested and thrown in jail.
The communications reveal that a member of the DOJ’s Criminal Division, a prosecutor in then-DC US Attorney Matthew Graves’ office and FBI agents in the bureau’s Washington Field Office all discussed investigating Sinema in February 2024, 14 months after she announced her change in party affiliation.
The email exchanges began in response to The Post’s Feb. 1, 2024, report on Sinema’s six-figure campaign spending on a security detail, luxury hotels, cars, and concert tickets — with a prosecutor in Graves’ office flagging the story to the DOJ and FBI.
I am not going to try and figure out the laws on spending campaign funds. As far as I’m concerned, both sides of the aisle are probably violating them all the time. Some are just a lot more blatant about it. (AOC, Ilhad Omar, etc) However, it was why they were considering going after Sinemena.
Sinema’s chief of staff, Daniel Winkler, expressed concern when reached for comment that the probe was pursued for “partisan political reasons,” including punishing the former senator for refusing to support scrapping the 60-vote legislative filibuster.
Over the following week, then-Assistant US Attorney Elizabeth Aloi discussed probing Sinema for potential violations of the Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA) with then-FBI special agent Walter Giardina — with the G-man saying he wanted to take up the matter.
“I’m interested in looking at the Sinema referral if its [sic] something you’re looking to assign,” wrote Giardina to a bureau colleague in a Feb. 2, 2024, email.
Giardina had assisted in the FBI’s controversial Arctic Frost probe, led by former special counsel Jack Smith, that targeted hundreds of Republican groups and individuals.
“It’s disappointing, though not surprising, to learn that Walter Giardina, who led politically motivated investigations at the FBI, also sought to investigate Kyrsten for partisan political reasons after she defied Biden and the Senate Democrats to protect the filibuster,” Winkler said. “Giardina’s pathetic attempts led nowhere, his abuse of power is now exposed to the public, and the filibuster stands strong today.”
We can debate the filibuster another day. As I recall, Sinema was also opposed to the Biden open borders and the invasion of the United States and said so. This made her, in the eyes of the Biden maladministration, and Enemy of the State.
Former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani said it was “very rare” to pursue criminal charges against a sitting member of Congress under FECA unless it’s “a George Santos-type case” — though in that case, the Long Island Republican copped to more serious wire fraud charges.
Santos was a clear case of the differences between the Democrats and the Republicans. When Santos activities came to light, the GOP disavowed him. With the average Democrat, the Democrats will circle the wagons and move to protect the miscreant. The exception to this rule is if a democrat, or in the case of Sinema, a former democrat, goes off the reservation without permission and doesn’t follow the orders of the Party elite.
Asked whether he believed the investigation targeted Sinema due to her changing her party affiliation, Rahmani answered: “It shouldn’t, but there’s no line between law and politics now.”
The New York Post story details how these corrupt DoJ officials tried to get an investigation going, but were blocked by others who didn’t actually see any law breaking. These are the same people who were trying to railroad President Trump into prison, or kill him if possible simply due to the fact that he put the nation and the citizens and not the Deep State Globalist ruling elites first.
All three have since left their federal government positions. Aloi was demoted in February and subsequently departed the US Attorney’s Office. President Trump’s FBI Director Kash Patel fired Giardina in August and Toleman in November. Both were involved in the investigations of Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol rioters as part of the broader Arctic Frost probe into hundreds of Republican individuals and groups believed to be linked to 2020 election interference efforts.
It’s abuse like this that caused the Founding Fathers to rebel against the Crown. Actions like this will, if allowed to continue, lead to people deciding they have no choice but to take up arms. Hopefully, Congress, Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi will be able to clean out the rot.
