Good day all. For the last few years, going back at least as far as the Great Panicdemic of 2020, we have been seeing countries primarily in the EU implementing flat out censorship with criminal penalties on people posting on the internet.

The Formally great Britain is one of these countries, going so far as to arrest people for saying and doing things in other countries where what they did was completely legal. We have also seen the European Union threatening American companies and issuing hundred million dollar fines for not following the EU’s censorship rules. Elon Musk’s TwitterX was one such company, being hit with with a $140 million dollar fine. As of this post, Musk has not paid the fine. The case has also angered the Trump Administration.
We have also had flat out threats from London’s Metropolitan Police commissioner to extradite Americans for posting on Social Media anything that the UK government disapproved of. Needless to say, that went over like a lead balloon with people blasting the commissioner and the Prime Minister, Comrade Keir Starmer. Basically people were saying to go ahead and try and reminding them that Americans citizens are armed.

Since then, things have only gotten worse in Europe. There are a number of people, some in congress and the administration who are wondering why the United States should be defending the EU if they are going to act like the very country we’re supposed to be defending them from. Now Secretary of State Rubio is growing concerned that one day we might have American Citizens who are traveling, being arrested in airports and charged for something they said online in the United States. Here are the details from Fox News:
Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned during a press briefing that he is concerned about American tourists being arrested for old social media posts.
One of the things that has happened on Socialist media such as Facebook are people being banned for a post they had made years before and completely forgotten about. Facebook Zuckerberg was rightly ripped up one side and down the other for this and it appears to have stopped. (Probably when he fired all the fact checkers)
Since the inauguration, one of the key foreign policy priorities of President Donald Trump’s administration has been freedom of speech in Europe. While America and its people have a close relationship with Europe, particularly the United Kingdom, the crackdown by ostensibly liberal western democracies on free speech has been a key source of conflict.
Rubio was asked during a Dec. 19 press briefing, “The State Department mentioned earlier this year some free speech concerns, particularly in Europe. What are some goals you have in regards to that in 2026?”
“Well, I mean, broadly, we’re concerned about any place first and foremost where American free speech could be implicated, all right,” he said.
“Are we going to live in a world where some American puts up a social media post and then gets to some airport somewhere and is arrested?” Rubio asked. “We’re also concerned about the impact that some of their policies are having on our social media platforms, as you recently saw. X is facing this massive multimillion-dollar fine that they’re going to have to pay, I guess, if they want to continue to operate.
Regarding that fine, and things are still in flux, I suspect that Musk is going to tell the EU to go to Hell. I don’t know if TwitterX has offices or equipment in the EU. If they don’t, then all they can do is block TwitterX at the borders. (This can be done easily) Whether that would work or not, I can’t say. VPN’s do get around region blocks all the time.
“But I think, more importantly, I think it touches on the broader question that was asked a little bit earlier. We all talk about how these alliances — in many cases, our alliances with our European partners — are built on our common principles, our common values, as much as anything else. These are just a geopolitical arrangement. It is an alliance with like-minded countries with whom we share values and principles. And one of those values and principles, we hope, is freedom and the freedom of expression. And we are concerned that that is eroding.”
It isn’t eroding in the EU, it’s all but dead. The Eurostan political elites are dead set on keeping their power and priviledge. The problem is that the general public is waking up to what’s happening, (such as 14 year old girls being gang raped by Muslim immigrants and the girls being punished for reporting the crime), and they are angry. The best way for them to vent is to post online and like minded people start talking about voting the tyrannical thugs out. This is what the Eurotrash Elites are dead set on stopping at any cost.
One recent example of European officials threatening to punish Americans was in August 2024, when a prominent London police commissioner made headlines for threatening to extradite U.S. citizens to be tried in the U.K. for breaking hate speech laws online. Citizens there routinely encounter police on their doorstep for politically incorrect comments made on social media.
And as I mentioned above, that went over real well here in the United States. No judge would ever authorize such an extradition since the 1st Amendment protects speech. Also, if a judge were to do something that stupid, the odds are he or she would end up tarred, feathered and strung up from a lamp post.
Vice President JD Vance criticized European leaders directly at the Munich Security Conference in February, saying the continent’s recent censorship activities were a bigger threat to its existence than Russia.
“Within living memory of many of you in this room, the Cold War positioned defenders of democracy against much more tyrannical forces on this continent. And consider the side in that fight that censored dissidents, that closed churches, that canceled elections,” Vance said.
“Unfortunately, when I look at Europe today, it’s sometimes not so clear what happened to some of the Cold War’s winners,” he continued. “I look to Brussels, where EU commissars warn citizens that they intend to shut down social media during times of civil unrest the moment they spot what they’ve judged to be ‘hateful content’ or to this very country where police have carried out raids against citizens suspected of posting anti-feminist comments online as part of ‘combating misogyny on the internet.’”
The Brussels Bureaucrats of the European Union have been acting more like the old Soviet Union then representatives of a group of democratically elected governments. In fact, they have threatened some countries for not following their orders. One is allowing Muslim immigration, (Poland won’t), and others involve honest elections where the results didn’t go the way the EU wanted.
The Trump administration also imposed visa bans on former European Union Commissioner Thierry Breton, who was behind the Digital Services Act (DSA), and four fellow anti-disinformation campaigners, accusing them of censoring American platforms.
Breton is one of the worst. Think of him as a modern day Josef Goebbels. He likes to talk about free speech but his actions of instituting a censorship regime in Europe show that he doesn’t believe in it. At least not for anyone but the Ruling EU Elites that is. President Trump has banned him and several from entering the United States because of their moves to suppress the American people’s 1st Amendment right of free speech.
Now what I think is happening is that the European elites hate President Trump and everything he stands for. They pine for the days when American Presidents would go along with whatever the Europeans wanted and would spend trillions of American tax dollars to defend Europe so they could waste their own money on welfare programs. That all started coming apart during President Trump’s first term when he pulled out of the Paris Accords and told the NATO countries that the time had come to start paying their own way.

You also have the International Criminal Court trying to assert authority over the United States, Israel and a few other countries even though they do not recognize the ICC’s authority. Basically, the European countries have been second rate powers since the end of World War Two, but still think that they are running empires.
I think that these European leaders need to be told, quietly, not publicly, at least not right away, that if they do arrest Americans for exercising their 1st Amendment Rights IN the United States, then the United States will go in and rescue them. We already have something on the books regarding the ICC’s ideas of arresting American soldiers and politicians. It’s best known as the Invade the Hague Act.
The actual name is the American Service-Members’ Protection Act and is an actual law on the books authorizing the President of the United States to use military force if needed to rescue American servicemen from the clutches of the ICC. Perhaps it’s time to amend that law to stop the EU from even thinking about grabbing Americans who say things in the United States that the Eurotrash Elites don’t like.
