Good day all. We just had the 25th anniversary of the worst attack on the United States since Pearl Harbor. Briefly, Liberals were all in on dealing with the terrorists. However, their natural tendency to apologize to anyone who isn’t American for daring to exist soon came out.
This tendency has become so bad of late that Liberals are attacking anyone who notes that the main group responsible for terrorist attacks are Muslim. Now a school system in one of the most liberal counties in is deliberately hiding the fact that the 9/11 attack was conducted by radical Islamic terrorists. Here are the details from Fox News:
A wealthy Washington, D.C., suburb’s public school district is advising teachers not to link 9/11 with radical Islam and to be sure to create “safe spaces” for Muslim students as the nation somberly marks the 25th anniversary of the terror attacks that killed nearly 3,000 Americans.
The guardrails in a six-page instructional guide, “25th Anniversary and Commemoration of 9/11” and distributed to teachers, has prompted critics to accuse Fairfax County (Virginia) Public School’s liberal leaders of coddling post-9/11 sensitivities rather than teaching history.
Fairfax county is home to a large number of Washington D.C. bureaucrats, most of whom hate President Trump. This is also the same county that has been pushing every DEI and WOKE policy in existence regarding their school system. Parents repeated complain and are both ignored, told to shut up and in some cases, threatened.
“It’s sort of a vanilla way to do things,” retired Navy Vice Admiral Lou Crenshaw, who was stationed inside the Pentagon when al Qaeda terrorists crashed a hijacked passenger jet into the building. “Everybody can go through the deal and feel good about it. And at the end of the day, nobody complains.
“To me, that’s not exactly what we need to do. We need to make sure that the kids have learned a lesson here. And that’s not going to happen if we try to shave the facts to the point where it’s hard to figure out what we’re talking about.”
I can’t say I’m surprised at this coming out of Fairfax county. Sucking up to anyone who wants to destroy the American way of life is standard operating procedure for the “Professional Educators.” Just how bad is it?
A digital content analysis reveals that about half of the 1,740-word document is devoted to tips for creating “safe spaces for Muslim and Middle Eastern students,” about 15% spells out specific 9/11 instruction and the rest of the document tip-toes around managing “emotional responses” to the lesson.
So they want to create a “Safe Space” for Muslims? How about in a Muslim country? You know, Saudi Arabia, Oman, the UAE, Iran, England, Germany, France, etc. Here, they have the right to practice their faith, they just don’t have any right to impose it on others. As for the School district? Are you aware of the establishment clause in the Constitution?
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…
In this case, it looks an awful lot like Fairfax County wants to let Muslim residents impose their views on everyone else. Add to this how the “Guide” barely mentions military families or first responders.
The guide by the school district, which sits only a few miles from the Pentagon and several military bases, mentions military families only three times and first responders only once, saying at one point, “Many families of military personnel and first responders experienced loss and hardship.”
Meanwhile, it has 30 references to Islam, “Muslim families,” “Muslim students,” “anti-Muslim racism,” “anti-Middle Eastern” rhetoric, “Islamophobic rhetoric” and “Middle Eastern students” and families. It includes a bulleted list of “critical considerations” to challenge anti-Muslim bias.
To say this looks bad wold be an understatement and it looks like Fairfax County’s school district might have figured out out. The responded to Fox News with the following load of crap statement:
In a statement provided to Fox News Digital, Fairfax County Public Schools said the school community has a “deeply personal connection to September 11 because of our proximity to the Pentagon and the many military-connected families we serve.
“On the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks, we remember the nearly 3,000 people who were killed, including 184 at the Pentagon. We remember the victims, their families, the survivors, and everyone whose lives were forever changed. We honor the first responders whose courage and sacrifice continue to inspire us,” the school district said.
And then they decided to double down on stupid.
“FCPS remains committed to creating an inclusive environment in our schools where all students feel welcome and respected as we strive to provide a world-class education and workplace.”
The Fox story goes on with comments from Admiral Crenshaw who was in the Pentagon when it was hit.
Crenshaw said students should understand that 9/11 was not simply “a coordinated terrorist attack on the United States,” as the FCPS script describes it, but a strategic act of war.
“What we saw in 9/11 was a religious extremist group, al Qaeda, who did not tolerate what the United States was doing around the world and decided to react violently,” Crenshaw said.
Admiral Crenshaw then goes on to say that al Qaeda is an Islamic Extremist group and doesn’t reflect the thinking of most Muslims. Sadly, I have to disagree. While there are plenty of Muslims who have no desire to impose Islam on others and keep their faith separate from their general lives, (A video I saw of a Muslim berating British citizens for letting the nutjobs in and take control of the UK. He said he was a Muslim and was opposed to what was going on), the number of RIF’s, (Radical Islamic Fundamentalists), is a significant percentage of the Islamic population and they will kill anyone who disagrees with their views.
If you need an example, just look at Iran. The IRGC has killed 10’s of thousands of people who just want to have a better life. With their thugs, the BASJ, they rule Iran with an iron fist, and even though they’ve they have been pretty much destroyed, they are continuing to try and impose their views of Islam on the entire world. The other Gulf states really aren’t that much better. They just know enough not to piss off the wrong people.
Fairfax County is a liberal open sewer pit. They have managed to put their people into office and are now working to strip the average Virginian of his or her rights. They are also treating with enemies of the United States and now appear to be trying to whitewash the 9/11 attack. I won’t be at all surprised if we don’t see them making changes to the curriculum saying that the 9/11 attack was actually a false flag operation cooked up by the Bush administration.
