Good day all. I wrote this before Elon Musk showed off his new Tesla sportster. In the early days of the second Trump Administration, Elon Musk came in and organized the Department Of Government Efficiency. (DOGE) DOGE went through and uncovered a huge amount of waste and outright fraud. USAID was found to be nothing more than a slush fund for the Democrats and was closed down.

One of the things that Musk did was send out a questionnaire asking government workers just what they did all week. This set off a lot of bureaucrats. Their basic response was “How dare he ask what we do?” Now we have a report that an FBI agent actually tried to open a criminal case against Elon Musk. Here are the details from RedState:
An FBI agent last year pressed colleagues to open a criminal case against Elon Musk after the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) asked federal employees to list five accomplishments from the prior week, according to internal emails the Senate Judiciary Committee released Tuesday, September 15th.
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), who chairs the committee, presented the email at a hearing with FBI Director Kash Patel as evidence that some in the bureau attempted to investigate and sideline President Trump and his allies.
“The previous Democrat administrations under Obama and Biden conducted secret, insidious, and downright evil operations that almost took down our government,” Grassley said.
Kash Patel and Dan Bongino found documents in burn bags that had literally been hidden away by Merrick Garland and Christopher Wray. These documents have been showing just how far the Biden/Garland DoJ was willing to go to go after Biden’s and the Democrat Party’s political enemies.
In the message dated February 22nd, 2025, then-Special Agent Kevin Gounaud argued that Musk, as head of DOGE, had caused federal employees to burn an enormous amount of official time and had run afoul of information-security rules. How? By demanding federal workers engage in the relatively mundane task of listing five things they had accomplished on taxpayer time the previous week.

What a spoiled little twerp. I’ve had to write up these reports in my many years in the Dreaded Private Sector. One of the things, as I recall, that Musk said was do NOT report anything that may violate security or, in the case of law enforcement, might put a case in jeopardy. These reports take perhaps 5 minutes to put together. They consist of a single line that goes “Worked on X project, Y days/Hours.”
“That person, in conspiracy with Elon Musk (who is reportedly an SGE), in addition to wasting a colossal amount of official time, encouraged, abetted, aided, etc. thousands if not tens of thousands of government employees to violate government-wide security policy and transmit sensitive government information outside of a strict need to know.”

Well, it looks like this dork has left government employment.
Gounaud, who now lists himself as a self-employed security consultant, also suggested Musk was improperly enriching himself by circulating government information on X, the social network he owns, which the agent repeatedly still called Twitter.
I wonder of he quit, retired or was invited to seek other opportunities elsewhere? That he was actively trying to open an investigation into a member of the Administration for asking some very basic information tells me that he was not suitable to be a member of law enforcement at any level.
He explained that Musk transparently relaying the demand of government workers to his X feed was akin to Hillary Clinton using personal emails for official work as Secretary of State.
Nice move dumbass. You just confirmed that Felonia von Pantsuit broke the law regarding government documents, and potentially the espionage statutes. Your comparison also falls flat since the request for government employees to, basically, justify their jobs, was publicly known.
The former agent told colleagues he would draft the paperwork to open a case and would be “happy” to look for a prosecutor to take it, or else send the matter to an inspector general.
“And no, I’m not kidding,” he concluded.
No, what you were, was a moron and obviously, unfit to be a federal agent. The investigation he wanted to open never happened. Elon Musk left DOGE a few months later. As for this clown Gounaud? It seems he left the FBI, or was pushed out, not long after.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO set off a firestorm by telling federal workers they would have to explain what they got done — and that their silence would be treated as a resignation.
“Consistent with President @realDonaldTrump’s instructions, all federal employees will shortly receive an email requesting to understand what they got done last week,” Musk wrote on X. “Failure to respond will be taken as a resignation.”

As I said before, this is a common question in the Dreaded Private Sector. I’ve had to do this myself. It’s not a big deal and takes a few minutes to complete. You usually see this when you have a new manager coming in who needs data on what his staff is doing so he can either support them, retask them or micromanage them. I’ve never thought it was a criminal offense. A waste of time on occasion, but not illegal.
The thing that should concern everyone is that any of these government workers actually felt put upon to report what they were doing. That one of these precious snowflakes actually tried to get Musk, and other no doubt, arrested was one of the reasons that a great number of people think that the FBI, even with all the hard work of Kash Patel and his team, can’t be salvaged or reformed and should be disbanded. At least this sanctimonious, self centered clown is no longer in a position where he can’t hut anyone.
