Good day all. One of the things that has really been setting off Americans is members of congress going into office with almost no money becoming multimillionaires in just a few years. They do this while making $174K per year.
These elected worthies aren’t working side jobs, writing books or running businesses. (In most cases), many have never worked a day in their lives since finishing school in the Dreaded Private Sector. (Although a few have been bartenders) Somehow, they seem to acquire millions of dollars. They do this through the Stock Market.
In general, this shouldn’t be an issue except for one minder detail. They are using what is known as “Insider Information” to decide what stocks to buy and sell. Normally, this would get you a fast trip to the House of Many Doors and a permanent ban on stock trading. However, as they always do, Congress exempted themselves from the laws they force everyone else to follow.

This has led to calls that elected officials not be allowed to buy and sell stocks on the stock market. Several bills have been proposed and one was passed in the House and sent to the Senate. This is where the problem is. The bill out of the House was sent to the Senate, and, as usual, several riders were attached to it, such as the SAVE Act.
Both of these policies are very popular across the country and across party lines. However, the Democrats, who are the primary beneficiaries of, although not exclusively, and the SAVE Act, which directly thwarts the Democrats main way of stealing elections, were blocked by Schumer. Here are the details from Fox News:
Senate Democrats shut down Republicans’ bid to deal with two key issues for voters heading into the midterms.
Republicans tried and failed to pass a bill that would marry differing policy issues: banning lawmakers from using their insider knowledge to trade stocks and implementing voter ID policy nationwide — the latter of which the GOP has so far failed to accomplish with their SAVE America Act.
Hey Fox! How about being a bit more accurate in what passes for your reporting. The SAVE Act went through the House with the House Republicans voting to pass it. In the Senate, you had the Majority leader, John Thune and several RINO’s who hate President Trump and are neck deep in the Deep State swamp. Thune and those others won’t pass the SAVE Act because they hate President Trump and the Make America Great Again coalition.
The Stop Insider Trading Act cruised through the House earlier this month, where a majority of House Democrats voted against it.
I’m not at all surprised that the Democrats voted against banning insider trading. They’re the main beneficiaries of it. Just ask San Fran Nan Pelosi.
Though voters are highly supportive of both, Democrats in the House and Senate argued that the stock trade ban wasn’t strong enough, while the voter ID element was too aggressive.
They might be right on the stock ban not being strong enough, but it was a good start. As for the Voter ID element of the SAVE Act? If you ask the average person about it, and about getting the needed ID, they will, and have said they are fully supportive of the SAVE Act ID provisions, and then tell you where you can go to get a government ID. The Democrat oppose the ID provision because it will end one of their main methods of cheating.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., argued that Republicans knew the bill would never pass, and that they “designed it that way.”
“They don’t want this bill to become law,” Schumer insisted. “So they put a poison pill in that they knew would tank it.”
“It’s really trickery. Skullduggery,” he added. “If Republican senators really cared about stopping stock trading by members, they wouldn’t have loaded it up with a poison pill voter ID bill, which Senate Democrats have defeated already twice.”

Nothing tricky about it UpChuck. The Republicans, mostly, are listening to the voters and asking them what they think about these proposals. There might be some disagreement over the stock trading bans, but in general, the SAVE Act has proven to be very popular. You hate it because it would work and the levels of fraud would drop significantly. We know who has been benefiting from election fraud now, don’t we Chucky?
Now with the stock trading ban, there have been some Democrats who agree with the idea and some Republicans, usually the Jurassic old fossils who should have retired decades ago, who hate the very idea that they should be limited in the same way that the “Hoi Polloi” is.
Senate Democrats have blocked voter ID and the SAVE America Act — and its several iterations throughout the year — multiple times, while banning lawmakers from trading stocks has largely been stifled by intraparty quarrels on both sides of the aisle.

“No lawmaker should be able to profit off of insider information. I’ll continue my work to pass the Stop Insider Trading Act,” House Administration Committee Chair Bryan Steil, R-Wis., told Fox News Digital. “I’m encouraged that 53 Senators voted to ban members of Congress from trading stocks this afternoon. Unfortunately, Senate Democrats filibustered this commonsense ethics reform.”
Ethics and Democrats are two words that never appear in the same sentence, unless it’s a comment on the complete lack of ethics the average Democrat elected official. They will also ignore the fact that these are issues that Americans support. Of course, these days, it looks like that Democrats don’t support Americans, only illegal aliens.
There has been discussions and debates on whether or not the filibuster should just be ended. Without question, the odds of these bills passing the Senate would have improved significantly. There are arguments on both sides. Myself, I’m not to sure since I know what will happen once the Democrats are back in control.
One thing that could be done is to go back to the old system. If a senator wanted to filibuster a bill, then he or she would stand in the senate and talk, nonstop and without any breaks. There have been a few of these of late, usually some twit trying to prove something, but, in general, when a party announces it will filibuster a bill, nothing further happens other than the cloture votes.

The Republican party should use this and everything else the Democrats have been saying and doing and literally beat them over the head with it. I also think that John Thune needs to be removed from his leadership post next session. He has shown that he isn’t interested in carrying out President Trump’s agenda or even listening to the GOP base.
He isn’t up for reelection yet, which is why he’s doing all this. He’s hoping that when it’s time, the Make America Great Again movement will be ended and Washington can go back to it’s usual, corrupt, way of life. His recent actions may cost the GOP congress, but his hope that his constituents won’t remember what a two-faced backstabber he is won’t be forgotten. As for UpChuck Schumer? He’s looking in his review mirror and is terrified by what he is seeing.

If you support these two bills, either as separate bills or one combined bill, you need to do two things. Tell your senators to pull their thumbs out and vote in favor of them, and second, get off your ass and vote the political retards who won’t pass these bills out of office in November. (Get out and vote in any case)
