Remember Al Gore’s carbon tax? It’s Back!

Good day all. Now that Hurricane Sandy has come and gone, the usual suspects are screaming out “GLOBAL WARMING! WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!” again. And like the sun rising in the east, so are their plans to finish off the free enterprise system once and for all.

In this case, the Obama Treasury Department, Tax Cheat Tim Geithner ((Timothy F. “Turbotax Tim” Geithner)) Presiding, has financed a new study on linking the tax code with carbon emissions. Here are the details from Fox News:

A major tax study currently being sponsored by the U.S. Treasury will give environmental activists a powerful new weapon in their campaign to alter the entire American economic and social landscape in the name of halting “climate change”—including the possible levying of new carbon taxes.

This nonsense about Global Warming Climate Change has been thoroughly discredited over the last few years. We’ve seen just how far the extremists will go to “cook” their numbers to make the research fit their preconceived notions. The latest research is showing that the world is not getting hotter, but has been cooling for the last 10-15 years. Oops!

That campaign is bound to intensify in the aftermath of Nov. 6’s presidential election, regardless of who wins the race, as the nation faces the challenge of deficit reduction and tax reform that will be required to overhaul the country’s over-strained finances. Environmental advocates and others are likely to raise such innovative mechanisms as carbon taxes and major shifts in tax rates and incentives as part of the process—and the impending study may well provide them with important ammunition.

I repeat. What part of the word “NO” don’t you understand? The “N” part or the “O” part?

The study itself will not be available until after the election. Originally slated for completion in September of this year, its publication has since been postponed until the first quarter of next year.

Gee, what a surprise…NOT! I am willing to wager that this waste of money will recommend all sorts of wonderful new taxes and regulations, not to mention a massive increase in the size of the government to run it all. If this had come out prior to the election, Romney would have used it as a pile driver on King Putt.

The results will likely bring an entirely new dimension to any future bargaining table in Washington that aims at achieving financial reform. Such bargaining is considered nearly inevitable as the U.S. tries to back away from the fiscal cliff created by towering annual deficits and still accelerating obligations under Social Security and still-to-be implemented Obamacare.

What planet are these idiots living on? Haven’t they been paying any attention to just how bad the economy is and how angry people are? I have no doubt if Der Fubar somehow sleazed his way into a second term, he will ram this through as fast as he can. If Romney wins, I expect this to be tossed into the nearest incinerator. (You know, to add to Global Warming and all that garbage) Now what are the parameters of this study? Are they looking at job creation? That would be a no.

What the NAS study will examine are the basic building blocks of the tax system, but not from a job creation or growth perspective. Instead, the question is what levels of greenhouse gas are currently produced by its provisions.

These include not only deductions and allowances for production of varying types of energy, but also such things as the home mortgage deduction and the investment tax credit to spur business activity, not to mention tax provisions that affect patterns of urban development, agriculture, forestry and all manner of industrial processes.

God save us from social do-gooders. The reason for taxes is to fund the necessary functions of government. Things like national defense, roads and bridges and law enforcement. It is NOT to decide how people should live and what businesses should be allowed to succeed. We’ve already seen the results with all those “Green Jobs” The SCoaMF has been creating. Oh wait. All those companies he’s been throwing my tax money at? Yeah, they’ve been failing miserably to the tune of a few hundred billion dollars.

This study is simply a worthless waste of money put together by people who have no idea how the world really works. They live in their little academic bubble and will never really feel the results of their system if it’s actually put in place.

Personally, whoever came up with this idea and arranged the funding should be fired, drawn, quartered and their family forced to reimburse the treasury. I don’t care if they have to to porn films to make the money back. (Since they like to prostitute themselves anyone, this shouldn’t be a problem)

We’re only a few days away from the Election of 2012. We choose Romney and perhaps we can pull back from the precipice, or we can chose to put Obama back in and go full speed forward…over the cliff.
