New York Democrats “Vote, or else!”

Good day all. This story came out yesterday. It seems that the New York Democrat Party is threatening people if they don’t go out and vote on Tuesday.

Now they “claim” they aren’t actually threatening anyone, but hey, these are Democrats. Of course they are threatening people. Here are the details from the Washington Times:

The New York State Democratic Committee issued a thinly veiled warning to fellow party members, saying bluntly that those who don’t vote in Tuesday’s elections will be outed.

“Who you vote for is your secret,” the committee said in a letter to voters, the New York Post reported. “But whether or not you vote is public record. We will be reviewing voting records … to determine whether you joined your neighbors who voted in 2014.”

And what will the Democrats do if you don’t show up at the polls and vote for a Democrat?

The letter wraps with this stark message, the New York Post reported: “If you do not vote this year, we will be interested to hear why not.”

Now, that does sound like a threat to me. What business is it of theirs if someone votes or not? What are they going to do if they determine someone didn’t vote? The implication is they will take some sort of action to punish you. The good news is the voters aren’t taking this lying down.

Democratic voters aren’t taking kindly to the message.

“It’s a threatening letter,” said one Democratic consultant, decrying the call-to-arms attempt by the committee, the New York Post said. “It’s a scare piece that is unnecessary and inappropriate.”

Others were furious.

“I’m outraged,” said one Manhattan voter, complaining to a local Democratic Party official, the New York Post reported. “Whether I vote or not is none of your business. … The letter is ludicrous and menacing.”

The woman also said that she received from the committee a print-out report of her voting record, showing that she had missed two of the last four elections, the New York Post found.

This doesn’t surprise me. The Democrats are in big trouble and are now moving further into their comfort zone of outright totalitarianism. And what was the excuse the Democrats used regarding these threats?

“This flier is part of the nationwide Democratic response to traditional Republican voter-suppression efforts because Democrats believe our democracy works better when more people vote, not less,” said committee spokesman Peter Kauffmann, in the New York Post. “The difference between Democrats and Republicans is they don’t want people to vote and we want everyone to vote.”

So, it’s the “Evil Republicans” who are trying to suppress the vote? Funny, I don’t recall hearing about any voting machines that flipped Republican when you voted Democrat. And I don’t remember any white supremacists standing in front of polls brandishing clubs. Nope, the only party that has been intimidating people would be, Drum roll please, DEMOCRATS! Now who do you think might have arranged this little prodding of the voters?

The letter came a week before heavily favored Democratic Gov. Cuomo faces off against Republican Rob Astorino. Cuomo was not behind the shame letters, party sources insisted.

Uh huh, yeah, sure he wasn’t. Oh he might not have actually ordered it, but he knew about it.

But Astorino scoffed, “Andrew Cuomo’s thuggish tactics just crossed the line into creepy territory . . . Threatening and intimidating people is not how honorable elected leaders operate.”

Well, there’s your problem! You used Andrew Cuomo, and honorable elected leader in the same sentence. Cuomo is anything but honorable. It’s a shame that scumsucking Nazi Democrat is probably going to be reelected. From what I’ve been seeing, if they could saw New York City and Long Island off and float it to Europe, Cuomo would lose in a blowout. Who knows? Perhaps this race will be closer then we thought thanks to people voting for the Republican just to spite Cuomo.

I wonder how well Astorino might have done if the Jersey Whale, who is running the Republican governors association, hadn’t starved Astorino for campaign funds? Well, we will never know since Christie seems determined to help the Democrats instead of his own party. And that fat slob thinks he will be president some day. HAH! He has as much chance these days as Andrew Cuomo. None at all.
