Democrats panicked over Obamacare taxes

Good day all. It seems that the Progressive chickens are roosting all over Obamacare. It’s now beginning to sink in to their thick heads that millions of their constituents are going to get hit with massive taxes, all thanks to the bill “They had to pass to know what was in it.

Now, with the new fines taxes for those who don’t have insurance about to hit home, three senior Progressive Liberal Fascist Democrat members of the House of Representatives are demanding that a delay be put in place. Here are the details from Associated Press:

The official sign-up season for President Barack Obama’s health care law may be over, but leading congressional Democrats say millions of Americans facing new tax penalties deserve a second chance.

Three senior House members told The Associated Press that they plan to strongly urge the administration to grant a special sign-up opportunity for uninsured taxpayers who will be facing fines under the law for the first time this year.

Umm, no. That would be breaking the law after all, and we all know that King Putt never breaks any laws at all, ever. Now who are the three senior members of the PLFD’s who are asking Obama to once again ignore the law?

The three are Michigan’s Sander Levin, the ranking Democrat on the Ways and Means Committee, and Democratic Reps. Jim McDermott of Washington, and Lloyd Doggett of Texas. All worked to help steer Obama’s law through rancorous congressional debates from 2009-2010. The lawmakers say they are concerned that many of their constituents will find out about the penalties after it’s already too late for them to sign up for coverage, since open enrollment ended Sunday.

Gee, that’s really tough isn’t it? Well, you know what they say don’t you?

Based on congressional analysis, tax preparation giant H&R Block says roughly 4 million uninsured people will pay penalties.

I think that will be a very conservative estimate. Then we will have the problem of just how screwed up Obamacare is. What happens when someone says they did have insurance, but the Infernal Revenue Service says they didn’t and takes their refunds? Oh, it won’t be pretty. I think this will be the normal reaction.

Although the tax credit subsidies cover most of the premiums for many people, the coverage requirement and the fines that enforce it remain deeply unpopular.

Yeah, about those tax credits? The odds are the Supreme Court will rule them illegal. Funny thing about laws. The courts tend to read the law and if it’s easy to understand, will rule that the written word means what it says. And as to the fines? We can thank John Roberts for that one.

For 2014, the fine was the greater of $95 per person or 1 percent of household income above the threshold for filing taxes. That fine will be collected when taxpayers file their 2014 returns. But this year the fine will jump to the greater of 2 percent of income or $325. By 2016, the average fine will be about $1,100, based on government figures.

You know, it’s rather funny. John Roberts said this was a tax, not a fine. If it were an actual fine, then people could challenge it in court. It’s that “Due Process” thing. I’ve already gone into Robert’s bad decision on that case and his legislating from the bench. As far as I’m concerned, he and the other four judicial tyrants should be removed from the bench now.

One of the problems with Obamacare is that it’s very expensive insurance that, to be perfectly blunt about it, is utter crap. Many people are outside the window where they can get a subsidy, (if they are in a state with it’s own Obamacare portal), and frankly, can’t afford it.

Floyd Cable, a real estate agent from Wichita Falls, Texas, said the escalating fines were part of the motivation for him and his wife to sign up last week. Both are self-employed, and stretching to pay health insurance premiums has been a struggle. “We have been going without insurance the last couple of years just because the rates are so astronomical,” Cable said.

Obamacare is going to force people to make a number of very tough choices. Things like paying for really crappy insurance or eating. As more and more people start getting hit with the fines, taxes and discovering that their Obamacare insurance really won’t help them when they get sick, the cry to repeal it will only get louder. (I believe the current number of people who want this gone is around 65% of the population)

Of course, Obama, Pelosi and Reid, the three people who shoved this load of bilge water down America’s throats are singing a different tune.

Obamacare is doomed to fail. The only question is, just how bad will the collapse be when it all comes crashing down.
