Good day all. With the brutal murders of Christians at Oregon’s Umpqua community College a couple of weeks ago, more and more people are demanding the ability to protect themselves and others on school grounds from lunatics and psycho’s.
Texas passed a law allowing people who have CCW’s to carry on school grounds. Other states are also passing laws that either fully restore the rights of law abiding people or staff members to have a gun in a school. California, of course, is going the other way. Here are the details from Fox News:
Gov. Jerry Brown has signed a bill banning concealed weapons from California schools and universities, a measure that drew renewed attention after a recent massacre at an Oregon community college.
SB707 by Democratic Sen. Lois Wolk of Davis will prohibit people with concealed weapons permits from carrying firearms on school and college campuses.
People who have concealed carry permits would be allowed to carry firearms within 1,000 feet of a public or private K-12 school, but not on the grounds.
Well, how nice of them to allow people to carry a gun nearby. Of course, there is one small problem with that 1000 foot rule. It’s already been declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court.
Gun owners’ groups said they would/would have immediately sued to challenge the bill that Brown approved on Saturday.
I would go one step further. If an incident occurs, then Jerry Brown and every single member of the California Legislature should be criminally charged with murder. All these moonbats have done is declare California schools a target rich environment, Open season, no limit. California government is out of control and cares nothing about the safety and security of it’s citizens. It’s only a matter of time before some whackjob hits a school in the Land of the Fruits and the Nuts. What’s there excuse going to be then? Blame the NRA of course.
