Good day all. It’s been a very eventful weekend, with the passing of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Without a doubt, I’ll be writing more about that. Meanwhile, we still have an election going on.
Last week we had the New Hampshire primary and Cankles was buried in an avalanche of Sanders voters. The debacle, and it’s nothing less than that for her, was massive. Cankles Clinton expected to lose, but not by 20 points. Now she has decided to “Reinvent” herself yet again. This time she is going to be more Bernie Sanders than Bernie Sanders. Here are the details from McClatchy DC:
Hillary Clinton wants you to know she’s a more realistic, more savvy version of Bernie Sanders. She, too, wants to close corporate loopholes, make college and health care more affordable and get tough on Wall Street. Just as Sanders does, except she’d proceed more carefully and practically. Same with Social Security, and income inequality. Me, too, she said. Just better.
Oh this is hilarious! The one thing Hillary Rodham Clinton has show to the world is her utter and complete incompetence in doing anything. Now she wants to be as Marxist as Sanders? She should just stick to being a Fascist. It pays better as we can see from the bribes to her “Foundation.”
Clinton’s challenge, though, was clear during Thursday’s debate. Sanders argues with a passion that appeals to voters disgusted with Washington inertia. Clinton reasons with fact-laced talking points and anecdotes about how things work. Sanders leans into the podium, his right index finger pointing at the viewer as he promises a radical new way of doing business. Clinton is more lawyerly, more measured, even, arguably, more presidential.
Hillary knows she is in big trouble. The blowout in New Hampshire, the apparent stealing of the vote in Iowa, and the recent discovery that she is ahead in delegates even though Comrade Bernie is beating her at the polls isn’t leading to her planned coronation. Now that Comrade Bernie is starting to pull ahead, Cankles has decided the best way to win is to steal Comrade Bernie’s mojo.
She spent much of the debate, the first since Sanders and his insurgent army crushed her in Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary, intent on providing a distinctive dash of reality. She tried to convince voters fed up with politics as usual that the difference between Sanders and her is largely one of temperament and résumé.
Cankles is the epitome of “Politics as usual.”
So when Sanders railed against a “rigged economy . . . where ordinary Americans are working longer hours for low wages,” Clinton echoed, “the economy is rigged for those at the top.” She went a step further, appealing directly to two of the constituencies she needs most. She pledged to help “African-Americans who face discrimination in the job market, education, housing and the criminal justice system.” She promised to help women get “the equal pay we deserve.”
Comrade Bernie wants a nice Soviet style planned economy, which worked so well in the Soviet Union. Cankles just wants absolute power and lots of money.
Her most stinging moment came when she said, “Today, Sen. Sanders said President Obama failed the presidential leadership test.” Sanders, clearly rattled, called that a “low blow,” but it registered with Democratic voters, particularly African-Americans, who regard President Barack Obama highly.
And Cankles just threw Der Fubar under the bus. Considering that most Americans of recent African decent think Obama is the best thing since sliced bread, I wonder how she believes this is actually going to help her? Oh wait, that’s right. The Clintons think they own everyone of recent African decent. Typical of a Progressive Liberal Democrat to forget about that pesky 13th Amendment.
Clinton did challenge Sanders. On universal health care, he argued that $500 in taxes for middle-class families would save $5,000 in health care costs. “The numbers don’t add up,” Clinton said.
And here we have a miracle. I actually agree with Cankles on this one. Comrade Bernie’s plans for instituting a single payer system will not work and, typical of the average tone deaf PLFD politician, ignores the fact that a majority of the people oppose it. These two went back and forth during the debate, with Bernie Sanders making a statement bereft of common sense, arithmetic or reality, and Hillary Clinton basically stealing his ideas, (in true Clintonian style), and saying that she can do it better.
This election will be arguably the most important one since the election in 1860. The Democrats have, thanks to Barack Obama, destroyed their bench of up and comers. All they have left is a corrupt incompetent cow who’s paranoia has done damage to this country rivaling the Walker spy ring, and a geriatric communist who wants to bring the glories of the Soviet State to America. What amazes me is just how many stupid people there are that are backing these two idiots.
