Good day all. Barack Obama really must hate the British. Once again he’s put his foot into his mouth and informed the British that he knows what’s good for them, and they will do what he tells them, or else.
Obama went to England ostensibly to wish Queen Elizabeth a happy 90th birthday. This time he he didn’t hand her an Ipod with his speeches on them. However, he did decide to add his two cents to the discussion the British are having regarding leaving the European Union. Actually, it looks more like he threatened them. There have been a number of stories on this over the weekend. Here’s a few details from the Daily Mail on Der Fubar’s comments:
President Barack Obama told Britain today that it would have to ‘go to the back of the queue’ if it leaves the European Union, then tries to negotiate its own trade deal with the United States. A US-UK trade agreement is not going to happen ‘any time soon,’ Obama said during a joint news conference with British Prime Minister David Cameron.
‘Not because we don’t have a special relationship but because given the heavy lift on any trade agreement, us having access to a big market with a lot of countries rather than trying to do piecemeal trade agreements, which is hugely inefficient,’ the U.S. leader said.
What a moron. As usual, he hasn’t been paying any attention to what is actually going on anywhere. One of the reasons that Donald Trump is doing so well is the fact that many Americans are sick and tired of these all encompassing “Trade Agreements” that end up costing Americans their jobs for no perceived benefit. As I understand it, Trump would prefer to engage in nation to nation deals that benefit both sides, (with a preference toward America) Needless to say, the British were not at all thrilled with the “Advice” from King Putt.
Obama faced a furious backlash overseas this morning over what has been called a ‘downright hypocritical’ push for Britain to stay in the European Union. In a highly controversial intervention in the EU referendum campaign, Obama pleaded with British voters in a local newspaper and then the press conference not to cut ties with Brussels.
‘The United States wants a strong United Kingdom as a partner, and the United Kingdom is at its best when it is helping to lead a strong Europe,’ Obama said during a news conference at Britain’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
The whole point regarding the discussion by the British on whether or not to exit the EU, (Brexit as it’s called), is the British are tired of a bunch of unelected bureaucrats in Belgium telling them how to live their lives. The EU’s “leadership” rivals the Soviet Union in their tendency towards central planning.
In his op-ed Obama also invoked the spirit of the Second World War by claiming the sacrifice of GIs meant America has a stake in the EU debate and said the decision in June’s referendum ‘will echo in the prospects of today’s generation of Americans as well’.
Nice try stupid. The United States entered WW2 in Europe only after Hitler declared war on us after the attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese. If he hadn’t, we may never have gone into Europe and destroyed Nazi Germany. When we did arrive, and crush the Nazi’s, we didn’t do it for the “Union of Europe.” We did it to free the nations occupied by the Nazi’s and to restore their sovereignty. As you would expect, the British detonated over that SCoaMF’s remarks and threats.
London Mayor Boris Johnson accused him of making an ‘incoherent’ and ‘inconsistent’ argument. A furious Johnson said this morning: ‘The Americans would never contemplate anything like the EU, for themselves or for their neighbors in their own hemisphere. Why should they think it right for us?’
I beg your pardon Lord Mayor Johnson, but please do not paint all of America with the same brush. Obama speaks only for himself and the other Progressive Elites, primarily in the Democrat Party. Most Americans who understand the discussion on the “Brexit” question believe that it is something the British should decide for themselves.
Obama told residents of the UK today he doesn’t believe he’s overstepping.
Of course he doesn’t. That arrogant pissant thinks that everything he says is always correct. After all, the whole world revolves around Barack Hussein Obama.
Ultimately ‘this is a decision for the people of the United Kingdom to make,’ he told them.
As long as the British voters do what Obama tells them to do. It’s for their own good after all.
‘I’m not coming here to fix any votes.
Although he would if he could.
I’m not casting a vote myself.
Again, he would if he could, multiple times. It’s the Chicago way after all
I’m offering my opinion, and in democracies everybody should want more information, not less, and you shouldn’t be afraid to hear an argument being made.
And your opinion means absolutely nothing, and never has meant anything to anyone, anywhere.
He said, ‘That’s not a threat, that should enhance the debate.’
If telling the British that you won’t talk about new trade deals with them if they leave the EU isn’t a threat, I don’t know what is.
The U.S. president said he feels its his prerogative to clarify the U.S. position rather than have it defined by British politicians.
‘So they are voicing an opinion about what the United States is going to do, I figured you might want to hear from the president of the United States what I think the United States is going to do,’ he said.
‘And on that matter, for example, I think it’s fair to say that maybe some point down the line there might be a UK-US trade agreement, but it’s not going to happen any time soon because our focus is in negotiating with a big bloc, the European Union, to get a trade agreement done.
He added, ‘The UK is going to be in the back of the queue.’
Nice going numbnuts. That was a threat. You have just told the British that if they don’t outright surrender their sovereignty the EU bureaucrats, you’re going to make sure Britain’s economy collapses. The reaction from Britain was not muted. Even those who favor remaining in the EU weren’t happy with Der Fubar’s shoving his opinion down their throats.
All I can tell the British is that we only have to put up with Obama until January 20th, 2017 and then he will be gone. His successor, Be it Trump, Cruz or even that corrupt cow, Cankles Clinton, won’t be out to sink the British Isles. (Clinton will be more than happy to assist you. Just donate to the Clinton Foundation)
Barack Obama is going to go down in History as arguably the worst president since James Buchanan. For those of you who don’t know who Buchanan was, he was the President of the United States before Abraham Lincoln, and is considered the worst president in American History. His actions helped lead the country into the American Civil War. Even Jimmy Carter, consider the worst president in the modern age, comes in second to the incompetence and stupidity of Barack Hussein Obama. Obama’s remarks in Britain are simply a continuation of his narcissism and arrogance.
