Good day all. After the drubbing the Progressive Liberal Democrats took in November, on top of the destruction of the party at the local and state levels, someone decided that the party needed to learn how to talk to “Real People.”
No, I’m not joking. The Democrats in general, are even more out of touch with the average American then even the GOP(e). They long ago stopped talking with people and started dictating to them. (The Establishment RINO’s weren’t that far behind them either) When Candidate Trump arrived, he listened to what people had to say and sat down and talked WITH them on how he could fix things. Now, he’s President Trump and the Democrats are on the outside and spray painting the windows with anti-Trump graffiti.
Because of their crushing defeat, the Democrats have decided it’s time to go back to school and learn how to talk with people who, generally, have nothing in common with them. Here are the details from Politico:
Senate Democrats geared up for battle with President Donald Trump by preparing to talk to people who voted for him — and by hearing from one of his arch-nemeses.
Gathering in Sheperdstown, W.Va., Democrats were scheduled to hear from liberal political operative David Brock on Thursday, who ran a session called “Hold Trump Accountable” with Center for American Progress CEO Neera Tanden and Priorities USA CEO Guy Cecil.
Where did they ever get the idea that David Brock can teach the Democrats how to talk to the Average person? That nut is now trying to figure out a way to impeach Donald Trump, and talking to “real people” is not something he has ever done and has no interest in doing. As to the others? I don’t know them but I’m assuming they too are typical out of touch with reality progressives.
Earlier in the day, Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) moderated a “discussion with Trump voters,” according to a draft schedule obtained by POLITICO.
Senator Manchin has seen the writing on the wall and knows that he will be facing a fight for his political career when he comes up for reelection in 2018. Since he wants to keep his phony baloney job, he’s trying to figure out how to listen to what his constituents are actually saying.
Much of the event appears geared at figuring out how to turn people who supported Trump into Democratic voters in 2018.
Former Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear (D), along with Sens. Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.) and Michael Bennet (D-Colo.), held a session on “speaking to those who feel invisible in rural America,” according to the schedule. Other sessions were along similar lines: “Listening to those feel unheard” and “Rising America — They feel unheard too.”
Gee, why would people feel that the Progressive Democrats weren’t listening to them? Probably because they weren’t. The basic attitude of the Democrats for the last 40 years has been “We’re smarter than you. You’re to stupid to know what’s good for you, so shut up and do as we tell you.” While that attitude really came to the fore after Nixon and Watergate, it’s been there since at least the Wilson administration.
On Thursday Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) will discuss political tactics for the midterm election and Democrats will strategize on how to define themselves and Trump. Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Tim Kaine (D-Va.) and Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.) will talk about “Triangulating Trump,” emphasizing that they can go around Republicans by trying to work with Trump on infrastructure, outsourcing and trade.
Where shall I start? First, I’ll begin with Big Chief Sitting Bullshit, aka Senator Elizabeth “Lie-a-Watha” Warren. She is the epitome of the out of touch Progressive. Her antics have done serious damage to the economy, and she’s now in potential trouble back in Massachusetts when she runs for reelection in 2018. Even in the Deep Blue Progressive state of Massachusetts, polls, (Yeah I know, Polls these days are all but worthless), are saying that she shouldn’t get a second term. That and her lying about her background might have pushed her chances off a cliff
Then we have Senator, and former Vice Presidential candidate Tim “Kreepy Klown” Kaine. He too is in trouble and if President Trump makes significant progress by the time his reelection comes around, he too will be retired due to ill health. The voters will be sick of him.
Finally, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) will prep Democrats on how to engage against Republicans over Trump’s Supreme Court pick, which is expected to come as soon as next week.
Someone needs to tell that old fossil that thanks to her former colleague, Dingy Harry Reid, that the Democrats have pretty much no say in who the next Supreme Court justice will be. Furthermore, all her dreams of suppression of the 2nd Amendment and a total ban on the private possession of firearms are about to come crashing down hard. She really should join Senator Barbara “Dumb as a box of rocks” Boxer sitting on the boardwalk on Venice Beach.
These moonbats were taken to school last year and failed the final exam last November 8th. Their ideas of “Remedial education” are a waste of time. The problem isn’t listening to people, the problem is not caring what they say. Until the Democrat party cuts the far left off, gets rid of the dinosaurs running the party and pulls back from a political platform that is to the left of Josef Stalin, they will be wondering around in the political desert for a generation. That is, if the party doesn’t splinter and collapse in the next 10 years.
