Good day all. Last weekend, we had a really bad incident in Charlottesville, North Carolina. White Supremacist and Neo-Nazi scum went to the city and utilized their 1st Amendment rights of peaceful protest.
They filed for and received the proper permits, and when some Moonbat political hack who wanted to suppress them pulled the permit, the scum sued and had it reinstated. This triggered the Antifa thugs and their supporters to come in and indulge in a violent response to the protest by the scum. Someone was killed, arrests have been made and the legal investigation is continuing.
However, never ones to be dissuaded by the law or the constitutional rights of others, another group of Proglodytes decided to topple a statue of a confederate soldier. As I understand it, there is a law on the books in North Carolina regarding vandalizing monuments. It’s a felony. Police were on hand, but rather then do their job, they stood by and let these ISIS wannabe’s pull the statue down. However, this ticked off a few people and now the local police are starting to look for those involved. Here are some of the details from Fox News:
When protesters, angry over the deadly incidents in Virginia this weekend, decided to take down a nearly century-old statue of a Confederate soldier in North Carolina on Monday, law enforcement stood back and watched.
At no time did officers with the Durham Police Department or deputies with the Durham County Sheriff’s Office intervene as activists brought a ladder up to the statue and used a rope to pull it down, according to multiple media reports.
And who told these officers to stand down as a crime was being committed? Whoever it was is an idiot. The job of the police is to protect and serve. This includes keeping the peace, and on occasions, this entails judicious use of a Taser.
No one was arrested Monday, however, a day later, Durham County Sheriff Mike Andrews announced investigators were working to identify the protesters and planned to bring criminal charges against them.
“We decided that restraint and public safety would be our priority,” Andrews said in a statement posted on his agency’s website. “As the Sheriff, I am not blind to the offensive conduct of some demonstrators nor will I ignore their criminal conduct.”
Frankly, I think you may have made a mistake. A show of force might have actually done more good then harm. However, I’m glad to see you’re going after these ISIS wannabe Antifa thugs. They were very helpful by filming their law breaking activities.
He continued: “My deputies showed great restraint and respect for the constitutional rights of the group expressing their anger and disgust for recent events in our country. Racism and incivility have no place in our country or Durham.”
I beg your pardon Sheriff. The protesters rights ended when they began breaking the law, which was vandalizing that statue. I agree that racism has no place in the United States, and I’m waiting to see the Proglodytes, Antifa thugs, White Supremacist and Neo-Nazi scum all being shipped to the goolag. (Some of the worst racists I’ve ever seen were Liberals and Democrats)
Well, the arrests have begun. The first of what I hope is many Proglodyte Social Justice Warriors for Social Justice has been arrested. Here are some of the details, again from Fox News:
A college student was arrested Tuesday for toppling a nearly century-old statue of a Confederate soldier Monday in North Carolina in front of a cheering crowd. Takiya Thompson, 22, brought a ladder up to the statue and used a rope to pull down the Confederate Soldiers Monument that was dedicated in 1924, according to The Associated Press.
How anyone this ignorant managed to get into a college is beyond me. Actually, no it isn’t. People like here have never been taught actual American, or any other history. They’ve been fed a steady diet of politically correct half-truths and outright lies. Perhaps she will be able to avail herself of the prison library.
Thompson, a student at historically black North Carolina Central University, faces vandalism misdemeanor and felony charges, including for property damage and participation in a riot, according to the Durham County Sheriff’s Office.
And I want the prosecutor to throw the proverbial book at her and all the others that will soon be picked up. These special snowflakes need to learn a hard lesson, and they won’t be getting it in any American institutions of higher learning. If they plea her out, then the District Attorney, or whatever they call the person who handles criminal prosecutions, needs to be booted from office. (These people are generally elected, not appointed)
Durham County Sheriff Mike Andrews said Tuesday that his deputies were working to identify others involved in the incident and plan to pursue felony charges against them.
And with all the video out there, they should not have to much of a problem doing so. Gotta love smartphone cameras, Facebook and YouTube!
In response to the statue in Durham being torn down, Democratic North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper tweeted: “The racism and deadly violence in Charlottesville is unacceptable but there is a better way to remove these monuments.”
How about we don’t tear them down? The American Civil War was a defining moment in American history. It literally made this country what it is, at least up until the 1970’s when the hard left finished trashing things and started moving into political office to continue their “work.” Tearing down these statues and memorials doesn’t do anything to explain why the Civil War happened.
There were many reasons why the South decided to break away and form the Confederacy. Slavery was not that high on the list. (It was there, but there were a lot of other reasons) Most of the Confederate soldiers were not slave owners. The commanding general of the Army of Northern Virginia, Robert E. Lee, wasn’t fighting to preserve slavery. He was fighting to protect his state and his home. He was also the most successful general of either side.
What we’re seeing is yet another move by the Progressive Liberal Totalitarian Left to destroy the history of the United States. These people are acting in ways that are identical to how ISIS and the Taliban handled antiquities in areas they controlled. They destroyed them. In their warped world view, nothing prior to Muhammad and the creation of Islam was good and therefore needed to be destroyed. They wrecked statues and artworks that were, in some cases, thousands of years old. As far as I’m concerned, there is no difference between them and these criminals in Durham.
I hope that every single one is caught, prosecuted, convicted and sentenced to the maximum term allowed by North Carolina law. I also want them forced to pay for the repairs or replacement of the statue they destroyed. They also need to be expelled from the colleges they are attending. In other words, they need to be made examples of. You have the right to protest. You do not have the right to sack and destroy things you don’t like.
