Good day all. Today, President Trump moved to keep another campaign promise, much to the disgust of the usual suspects, the Main Stream Media, Democrats and Rinos. He’s ending Obama’s DACA program.
Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, is another of King Putt’s “Pen and Phone” executive orders with no real basis in law.
It was an end run around the Immigration laws on the books and when announced, led to a mass migration of illegal aliens coming into the United States. Today, President Trump ended that policy and gave Congress a 6 month window to enact legislation. This has caused the “Usual Suspect” to go absolutely bonkers. Here are some of the details from Fox News:
“I’m heartbroken – and I’m outraged,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said in a statement. “The Trump administration should preserve DACA until a long-term solution is passed into law. … We need sensible immigration reform, not senseless intolerance.”
You had 4 YEARS Nancy to put forward legislation. You didn’t. It doesn’t matter that you are, rightfully, in the minority in the House, you just didn’t want to be bothered. Well guess what? The cows have come home and yet another piece of Obama’s legacy has just been flushed down the toilet.
In announcing the decision, Trump put the onus on Congress to come up with a replacement.
“As president, my highest duty is to defend the American people and the Constitution of the United States of America. At the same time, I do not favor punishing children, most of whom are now adults, for the actions of their parents,” he said in a statement. “Congress now has the opportunity to advance responsible immigration reform that puts American jobs and American security first.”
What? President Trump is telling Congress to get off their lazy dead asses and actually do the job the American Taxpayers expect of them? He’s asking the impossible. Just ask Senate Majority leader Mitch “The Turtle” McConnell.
Sen. Mike Lee, a Utah Republican, argued Tuesday that Congress, not the president, must find a reasonable, compassionate alternative.
“DACA was an illegal abuse of executive power, and it’s important to reaffirm that the president cannot unilaterally rewrite the law,” he said. “Today’s decision puts the ball in Congress’ court. … A balance between compassion and deterring future illegal immigration can be found.”
My recommendation is simple. Kick them out of the country, however, allow them to apply to come back in legally. That’s about the limit of my compassion these days towards illegal aliens. Meanwhile, the Democrats are moping about all the new Democrat voters who will be shipped back to the third world hell holes they came from.
“Today is a dark day in America,” said California Democratic Rep. Lou Correa, whose Orange County district in majority Latino. “The only crime DACA students are guilty of is aspiring for the American Dream.… I hope the president will not go after children, and will reconsider his decision.”
Wrong stupid, but then you are a Democrat. A functioning brain isn’t a requirement for membership in the Democrat Party, and is actually considered a detriment. These people are criminals. They are in the United States illegally. It doesn’t matter one wit if they were infants and brought here by their parents. They don’t belong here. They are sucking up resources that belong to American Citizens and those who came here lawfully. They need to leave, and a 6 month window give them plenty of time to move.
