Good day all. Last week, former Trump adviser, Michael Flynn pled guilty to lying to the FBI. It was announced by the Grand Inquisitor, Robert Mueller, that Flynn would be cooperating. This was taken by the Moonbats and Never Trumpers that Mueller was going to “Get Trump!” with testimony from Flynn.
While the Moonbats were dancing in the streets, a few people did a little research. It looks like Mueller might be trying for a Logan Act violation. There are a few problems with that plan. First, in 200 years, no one has ever been prosecuted under that law. Second, there is significant questions on its constitutionality. Third, the alleged violation would have been of President Trump asking Flynn to connect with the Russians. It was the timing of this last part that sent the Moonbats hearts racing.
When the news broke last week, Brian Ross was out there stating that this would be the “evidence” to Get Trump! Ross said that he had information that Flynn was prepared to testify against Trump that as a candidate, he had Flynn talk to the Russians. That turned out not to be accurate. Now ABC, suffering a serious blow to the head, has put Ross on 4 weeks unpaid suspension. Here are the details, from CNN:
ABC News announced Saturday that it has suspended investigative reporter Brian Ross for four weeks without pay after Ross was forced to correct a bombshell on-air report about Michael Flynn.
“We deeply regret and apologize for the serious error we made yesterday. The reporting conveyed by Brian Ross during the special report had not been fully vetted through our editorial standards process,” ABC said in a statement. “As a result of our continued reporting over the next several hours ultimately we determined the information was wrong and we corrected the mistake on air and online.”
“It is vital we get the story right and retain the trust we have built with our audience — these are our core principles,” the statement added. “We fell far short of that yesterday.”
And how did this mess occur? To begin with, you have the usual thinking processes of the Mostly Stupid Media. They hate conservatives and despise President Trump. Most think that Felonia von Pantsuit is the rightful president and some think that she can be installed in office if they can just “Get Trump!” Next, you have the infamous “Anonymous Sources” that the MSM is so in lovewith.
Citing a single anonymous source, Ross told viewers during an ABC special report on Friday morning that Flynn was prepared to testify that Donald Trump, as a candidate for president, told him to contact Russians.
A single source? Over the last year, we have seen one “We got Trump!” story after the other blow up in the faces of the Mostly Stupid Media. They generally have one thing in common. They all refer to one or more “Anonymous Sources” in their fake news stories.
Compare that with the recent destruction of Pervy Winestain, (AKA Harvey Weinstein), by Roan Farrow. He had numerous sources, and they all went on the record. Basically, Roan Farrow did actual investigative reporting whereas the average “Journalist” is just a propagandist for the Progressive Democrats. Now, Ross has been forced to dine on a large helping of crow.
During Friday’s edition of “World News Tonight,” Ross walked back his report, telling viewers that the source who had provided the initial information for his story later told him that it was as president-elect, not as a candidate, that Trump asked Flynn to contact Russians.
An ABC News tweet about the report was retweeted about 25,000 times before being deleted.
Deleting the originating tweet doesn’t do anything except show the world that you are a moron who thinks that deleting something from the internet makes it actually go away. To top it off, it had some serious economic effects as well.
Ross’ incorrect report prompted a dramatic reaction in the financial markets, and the Dow fell more than 350 points. Stocks largely recovered later in the day.
As Rush Limbaugh says, “Words mean things.” President Trump has been working to repair the damages caused by Obama and Bush, and the markets have responded. Unemployment is dropping and the GDP is being revised upwards. If the Progressives and NeverTrumpers get their way and force President Trump out, the swamp won’t be drained, it will only deepen. The markets know this and Ross’s incompetence and wishful thinking cost the economy billions.
ABC News initially attempted to downplay the mistake, referring to its correction as a “clarification” on “World News Tonight” and then online. After a barrage of criticism, the network changed the language online from “clarification” to “correction.”
Saturday evening’s statement further ramped up the language; the network now calls it a “serious error.”
Gee, you think? Soon thereafter came the news that Ross was being put on unpaid suspension for four weeks. President Trump, never at a loss for tweets, chimed in.
Shortly after that, President Trump weighed in, tweeting his “congratulations” to ABC News for suspending Ross.
The level of embarrassment inside ABC is a joyous thing to behold. Not even James O’Keefe on his best day could hope to stick a shiv this deeply into this many progressive propagandists journalists.
Multiple ABC News employees, speaking on the condition of anonymity because they weren’t publicly authorized to discuss the matter, told CNNMoney on Saturday there was internal embarrassment over the blunder.
“It’s a major embarrassment,” one ABC News employee said.
“It makes me cringe,” echoed another. “This is not what any networks needs when people are so quick to say ‘fake news’ to you. It makes me sick to my stomach.”
This isn’t the first time Comrade Senior Propagandist Brian Ross has let his political views get in the way of his actual job of reporting actual facts.
This is not the first high-profile mistake by Ross. In a 2012 piece for which he apologized, he suggested that the Aurora shooter may have had a connection to the Tea Party.
Personally, I think Ross should just go into retirement. His judgment and integrity, questionable at best, is now nonexistent. ABC Management should use this as an opportunity to clean house and bring in actual reporters who understand that their job is to report, and not editorialize. I would also recommend that they just forget about using these fake “anonymous sources.” They keep getting burned by them.
