Good day all. Kalifornistan is slowly circling the drain and is on it’s way to becoming a failed state. For decades, when it was known as California, people flocked there for the weather and the jobs. Now, people can’t wait to get the Hell out.

A case in point is San Francisco, the city by the bay. It’s also a city run by incompetent moonbats suffering from delusions of relevance. For almost two centuries, people would move into the city, drawn by the culture and the beauty. Now, these same people are leaving. Here are the details from CBS SFBay Area:
The number of people packing up and moving out of the Bay Area just hit its highest level in more than a decade. Carole Dabak spent 40 years living in San Jose and now she’s part of the mass exodus that is showing no signs of slowing down. The retired engineer’s packing up and calling it quits about to move to the state of Tennessee.
“I loved it here when I first got here. I really loved it here. But it’s just not the same,” Dabak said.
No, it’s not. Thanks to the “Progressive policies of governors, mayors, city and state legislators, the major cities are, for all intents and purposes, outdoor toilets.
Of course people come and go from the Bay Area all the time, but for the first time in a long time, more people are leaving the Bay Area than are coming in. And the number one place in the country for out-migration is now, right here.
Russell Hancock with Joint Venture Silicon Valley said, “Silicon Valley has been this place that is growing. And it was mostly growing because…people relocating here and relocating from other parts of the world. That’s changing.”
One of the reasons people aren’t moving into Silicon Valley is housing. There isn’t any. In order to buy a two room shack, you need more money then the gross national product of Paraguay. There are other reasons as well.
Joint Venture Silicon Valley’s own study of the out-migration says workers are moving to Sacramento, Austin, and Portland due to a number of factors. But topping the list is the high cost of housing.
“You can’t even contemplate getting into the housing market here,” Hancock said. “And I don’t mean just service workers, I mean highly skilled professionals. The tech elite are having a hard time affording reasonable housing in Silicon Valley. So this is difficult, this makes it very difficult for employers trying to recruit.”
It isn’t just the cost of living that’s driving people away, it’s also the fact that, for all intents and purposes, the People’s Republic of Kalifornistan is just shy of being a totalitarian state. Still, the fact that you can’t even rent a pup tent for less then $3K a month is a major issue. The crime doesn’t help either.
Carole Dabak cites crowding, crime and politics as the reasons for her own exodus.
“We don’t like it here anymore. You know, we don’t like this sanctuary state status and just the politics here,” she said.
A few months ago, a former Department of State employee, who had retired due to ill health, (He was sick of Secretary of State Felonia von Pantsuit), sold his home, packed up his wife and dogs, and moved to North Carolina. This individual is better known as The Diplomad, and comments on why he took his family out of Kalifornistan are telling. Now he can buy any gun he wants, as much ammunition as he wants and he isn’t limited to the number of round per magazine. In other words, he fled the progressive tyranny.
Now, thanks to the moonbats in Sacramento, along with San Francisco, the big tech companies are having trouble finding anyone to work in their massive Silicon Valley headquarters. With the insatiable hunger for taxes from the Progressives, many corporations are now beginning to pull up stakes and move. Eventually, all that will be left are the ultra-rich, the welfare couch potatoes and all the illegal aliens. The productive people will have left the state and turned out the lights. Good bye, California!
