Good day all. A little while ago, there was an awards show, (That no one paid much attention to), that presented awards to Liberal, Progressive actors. One of the recipients was Robert De Niro, who, when he is reading lines and following direction, a very good actor.
The problem for De Niro is when he ad libs. That’s when his utter stupidity comes out, and it came out in spades during the Tony awards. De Niro, who, like most of the Moonbats of Hollyweird, hates President Trump. He demonstrated this when he started screaming “Fuck Trump!!” On live television.
The Hollyweird Progressives cheered and applauded, the Moonbats smiled and the studio bean counters went “WTF? Is he out of his mind? He just insulted most of his audience!” However, some of the Hollyweird Progressives understood what a huge can of worms De Niro had just opened. No less a Moonbat then the “Original Meathead” Rob Reiner took De Niro to task. Here are the details from The Hill:
Director Rob Reiner denounced Robert De Niro and other celebrities for their remarks against President Trump, saying it only helps the president.
During an exclusive interview with The Hill’s new TV show “Rising,” which aired on Wednesday, Reiner addressed the controversy surrounding actor Robert De Niro’s “F—Trump” speech during the Tony Awards on Sunday. De Niro called the president a “f—ing idiot” and a “f—ing fool,” which was met with a standing ovation.
Reiner, in a rare moment of logical clarity, understood just how this looked to the people in Flyover Country.
“You’re helping Trump by saying ‘F— Trump,’ because he can say ‘look at these people, these elitists,’ ” Reiner told “Rising” co-hosts Krystal Ball and Buck Sexton.
Reiner said he thinks celebrities are ultimately hurting Democrats when they go on expletive-ridden rants against Trump.
“There’s a very fine line between energizing the base and energizing the other side,” Reiner said.
President Trump, of course, responded in his usual manner. He fired off a tweet.
Trump responded to De Niro’s rant two days later, saying the Academy Award-winning actor was “a very Low IQ individual” and suggesting he had “received too many shots to the head,” in his roles playing boxers.
President Trump was referring to De Niro’s role in Raging Bull. Personally I didn’t see that movie, but I understand it was a very good one. No one said De Niro wasn’t a great actor, he’s just not much of a thinker. This is the problem with way to many people in the land of the Fruits and Nuts. The very nature of being an actor is to project their character’s feelings.
The problem is, most people in the acting profession really aren’t that bright. Very few of them go to collage, and those that do go for Arts degrees. Of course, there are some who are, to put it mildly, absolutely brilliant and have actual real degrees in real sciences. (I believe Mayim Bialik has a PhD in Neuroscience)
There are a few actors on the right side of the aisle who support President Trump and aren’t afraid to say so. Of course, they are also superstars not unlike De Niro and bring in major money to the studios. Surprisingly, many of those actors don’t live in Kalifornistan. They live in other states and only go there for projects.
For the last decade, the Hollyweird Left has been putting out films and TV shows that have bombed at the box office. Why? Simply put, they insult the people that they need to actually see them. People are tired of movies that run down America, support those who want to destroy us and basically are Progressive “Feels Good” trash. People want movies that entertain them, not send messages that they don’t support. They also want the Actors and Actresses to just “Shut up and act.” It may be time for De Niro to retire and fade away.
