Alexandria Occasional-Cortex for Mayor?

Good day all. It seems that someone thinks that Alexandria Occasional-Cortex would be a wonderful successor to New York City’s current mayor, Bill de Failure Blasio.

De Blowhard is term limited, and is currently interviewing for a new job at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Currently, the hiring managers are examining his resume and they are not impressed. He’ll probably be sent his “Thanks but no thanks” rejection letter fairly soon. However, this does mean an opening in Manhattan, and the New York Sun has published an “Editorial” recommending Occasional-Cortex. The Washington Times picked up the editorial and commented on it in their “Are you kidding me?” section. Needless to say, I have to add my two cents to this.

A new political calling has already been suggested for one New York Democrat who has only been on Capitol Hill for four months.

Mayor Ocasio-Cortez?” asks a New York Sun editorial.

The news organization has weighed out the chances that Rep. Alexandria-Ocasio-Cortez could one day be elected mayor of New York City, her home town. The publication suggests that the realities of Congress may lose their appeal for the lawmaker.

The fun Ms. Ocasio-Cortez is having could fade if — as is theoretically possible — the GOP regains the House in 2020. Then she’d be faced with the interminable drudgery of being without seniority and in a minority. One can imagine that the prospect of a mayoral race would look attractive to the young firebrand with a, we don’t mind saying, quick wit and taste for the limelight,” the editorial said.

The first problem with the Sun’s plan is they are assuming that Alexandria Occasional-Cortex is going to win reelection. She barely won the seat in the first place, primarily due to low voter turnout. (Midterms are notorious for people ignoring them) She’s also managed to piss off a lot of people in the CommuNazi party and they are probably going to put a primary challenger up against her. AOC’s blinding stupidity doesn’t help matters either.

Their suggestion comes at a time when New Yorker are not so happy with current Mayor Bill de Blasio, who is now running for president and has already left the Big Apple for the campaign trail. Mr. de Blasio is currently touring Iowa and South Carolina.

And speaking of blinding stupidity, Bill de Blasio, who likes to push the Sovietization of New York and the United States, is also a typical progressive elitist. He feels that the rules he wants to jam down everyone else’s throat do not apply to him. He’s done a great deal of damage to New York City, instead of trying to fix things. The New York public transportation system is collapsing due to incompetence and neglect. His chances of becoming President are about as good my winning the powerball 35 times in a row.

The New York Post called his campaign a “farce” while street protesters have chanted, “Can’t run the city, can’t run the country” in recent days. A recent Quinnipiac University poll found that 76% of New York voters do not approve of Mr. de Blasio’s quest for the White House.

Meanwhile the New York Sun’s editorial staff continues passing around the Crack pipe.

Of course, it was quickly pointed out over dinner, running for mayor wouldn’t be the only option for Ms. Ocasio-Cortez. She could conceivably try to stay relevant by trying to topple Senator Schumer. He is up for re-election at 2022. With passing years, and being trapped in the Senate minority, he has become more and more — to use Robert Musil’s phrase — “a man without qualities.”

Schumer is a scumbag, of that there is no doubt. He’s also a vicious little weasel and he won’t hesitate to borrow some people from Felonia von Pantsuit’s “Crises Management Team.” Then we would see a story regarding the late Alexandria Occasional-Cortex committing suicide by knifing herself in the back 5 times.

The thing that struck us most at the dinner conversation was the unanimity of the view that the Republicans are without prospects in New York. It is a remarkable thing, given that the turnaround of New York City in the 1990s was engineered by, in Rudy Giuliani, a Republican and brought to its apex by, in Mayor Bloomberg at the time, a Republican-of-convenience.

This is primarily due to New Yorkers being made up of blithering idiots. The only people living in the city are the super-rich 1 percent Progressives who are never affected by the idiot policies the push down on others, and the welfare deadbeats. No one else can afford to live in the city any longer, and have moved elsewhere.

Then again, too, if Ms. Ocasio-Cortez were to run for mayor and the Republicans were to discover a high-spirited millennial with Republican principles to take her on, well, to quote the lottery, you never know.

You mean someone who is young and unlike Alexandria Occasional-Cortex, has a brain in his or her head and isn’t being investigated for campaign finance violations? There might be a few remaining in New York City. Of course, they’re working at real jobs and are trying to be successful, unlike Progressive Liberal Democrats who despise success. Still, if the dimbulb ran and actually won, the damage she would do to the city might be just enough to force the rest of the county to wall it off.

Insert escape from New York
