Good day all. A few weeks ago, Representative Justin Amash, pulled out a Seppuku knife, inserted it and began the process of ending his political career. He joined with the Democrats in demanding President Trump be impeached for the crime of being Donald Trump.
Amashole was roundly criticized by the GOP in general and many of the people he pretended to represent in his district in Michigan. Within days, at least one person announced he would challenge Amashole in the GOP primary in 2020. Now, seeing the writing on the wall, Amashole has decided to bolt the Republican party. Here are the details from the Washington Times:
Rep. Justin Amash quit the Republican Party on Thursday, using the Independence Day holiday to declare his rebellion against the poison of party politics. The Michigan lawmaker had been the sole Republican in Congress publicly backing impeachment of President Trump and had been largely marginalized by the GOP for that.
Now a few interesting facts regarding Amashole’s backstabbing of President Trump. As we know, President Trump has been hammering away at all the bad trade deals previous globalist presidents have made, and particularly he has been slamming China. Well, it turns out that Amashole’s family has major business dealings with China and they were being hurt by President Trump’s policies.
In an op-ed in The Washington Post, Mr. Amash called on voters to follow his lead.
“No matter your circumstance, I’m asking you to join me in rejecting the partisan loyalties and rhetoric that divide and dehumanize us,” he wrote. “I’m asking you to believe that we can do better than this two-party system — and to work toward it. If we continue to take America for granted, we will lose it.”
Oh sure! I will be happy to follow your lead…right off a cliff…NOT! Amashole got into office when the Tea Party began going after RINO’s and then Democrats. As a Representative, he doesn’t seem to have achieved much, and when President Trump was running, quickly joined the “Never Trumper’s” of the GOP(e) Establishment and hasn’t stopped yet. He quickly annoyed both the Republican base and many of his own constituents, who have been letting him know they weren’t happy with him. Now that he’s jumped the shark left the party, he’s going to become absolutely meaningless.
It’s likely Republicans in Congress will oust him from his lone committee assignment on the Oversight Committee, and his move creates an opening for a Republican candidate to run against him in the general election next year.
I read somewhere that currently, Amashole was running third in the GOP primary in his district, after someone who announced when Amashole called for President Trump’s impeachment, and, apparently, a pile of manure.
There is some thought that Amashole might try running for President as a third party candidate, say as a libertarian. The idea he may have is to act as a spoiler and ensuring that President Trump loses to the Democrats. Considering just how bad the Democrats have become, Amashole’s claim to be a libertarian is pretty much of a lie.
His goodbye diatribe against President Trump and the Republican Party has been met with disdain. President Trump basically said “Good bye and good riddance.” and for most other people watching yet another RINO head for the door, the responses can be summed up thus:
Don’t let the door hit you on the ass on your way back to Michigan and you masters in Beijing you worthless pile of bacteria. We aren’t going to miss you.
