Good day all. The first days of the Schifthead Clown show are drawing to a close. I haven’t been watching them, but have been reading about them. To date, I haven’t seen anything that smacks of an impeachable offense other then President Trump being Donald J. Trump.
What I have seen and read is just how corrupt this process is. Adam Schifthead is doing an admirable impression of the closing scene in the movie, Thelma and Louise.
The public hearings opened with a pair of “Professional Diplomats” who heard someone say they heard about President Trump holding up an aid package to the Ukraine. They were handled rather roughly by Representative Jim Jordan, who was put on the committee for the express purpose of showing the world what a slimy, pencil-necked, weasely corrupt Trump hating dork Adam Schifthead is with the first two “witnesses”.
These two were Bill Taylor and George Kent. They were called to Get Trump! Testify regarding the phone call between President Trump and the Ukrainian president. It quickly came out that neither one of them had heard the call between the two, and what people perceived were two whining crybabies who were upset that President Trump was ignoring them. Unfortunately, I can’t find the stories regarding their appearance. It looks like the Media Memory hole has been activated.
Currently, former Obama ambassador to the Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, has been testifying today, (Friday, November 15th), to how much she doesn’t like President Trump for firing her worthless Globalist ass. She’s currently blaming Rudy Giuliani for her being fired, never mind that she was actively interfering with President Trump’s foreign policy and apparently, insulting President Trump to foreign governments. She seems to have forgotten that ambassadors serve at the pleasure of the President.
President Trump, as is his wont, sent out a tweet regarding her and as expected. Adam Schifthead is now screaming “INTIMIDATION!!!!” Of course, when it comes to intimidation, Schifthead seems to be going full bore. One of the items Friday was Schifthead’s preventing GOP members from speaking. According to Fox News:
Tensions between lawmakers boiled over Friday on the second day of the public impeachment hearings, when House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., repeatedly shut down GOP Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., citing House procedure — as an astonished Ranking Member Devin Nunes, R-Calif., accused him of “gagging” the lawmaker.
“This is the fifth time you have interrupted a duly-elected member of Congress,” Stefanik told Schiff, who repeatedly told her she was “not recognized” to speak.
The moment began when Nunes, as he questioned Yovanovitch, gave the remainder of his allotted time to Stefanik, who had sparred multiple times with Schiff on both Friday and during Wednesday’s first nationally televised hearing.
But as Stefanik spoke, Schiff slammed down the gavel: “The gentlewoman will suspend.”
Now, as I understand how things are supposed to work during hearings, the member of the committee who’s turn it is to speak may give his allotted time to another member. Usually this is due to the other member having more questions and having run out of time. In this case, it was Schifthead deciding that he wasn’t going to allow anyone to speak that might make his witness look bad, and I suspect that Representative Stefanik was prepared to do just that.
It’s only been two days of public hearings and already Schifthead has demonstrated that he has no intention of allowing a fair hearing. It will be interesting to see how the polls respond to what amounts to a star chamber proceeding with absolutely no due process given to President Trump or any of the Republican members of the committee.
In the end, I fully expect President Trump to be impeached on a pure party line vote and this mess sent to the Senate. Once there the question will be “Toss this into the trash, or have a trial and force all the Democrats, starting with Adam Schifthead to testify under oath? If they decide to have a trial, you can bet that they will bring in Joe Biden, Hunter Biden and all the corrupt actions by members of the Obama administration. That will be one hell of a can of worms that the Democrats will have opened.
