Good day all. New York City has a mayor who is a communist, and like all communists, thinks that he is the smartest man in the world, New York, both city and state also protect criminal illegal aliens, to the point or releasing illegals no matter what crime they committed. This has led to rapes, robberies and murders.
The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency routinely send hold notices to jails and prisons when they find out they have an illegal alien in custody. New York and other sanctuary cities/states ignore these hold notices and release these criminals who promptly go out and commit more crimes. Now ICE has had it with New York City and has decided the time has come to start making a few examples of these moonbat politicians. Here are the details from Associated, (With Terrorists), Press:
Federal authorities are turning to a new tactic in the escalating conflict over New York City’s so-called sanctuary policies, issuing four “immigration subpoenas” to the city for information about inmates wanted for deportation.
“This is not a request — it’s a demand,” Henry Lucero, a senior U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement official, told The Associated Press. “This is a last resort for us. Dangerous criminals are being released every single day in New York.”
Mayor Bill de Blasio’s administration said Saturday the city would review the subpoenas.
“New York City will not change the policies that have made us the safest big city in America,” spokeswoman Freddi Goldstein said in an email.
You will when you are indicted you treasonous moonbat. As for being the “Safest City in American?”
The development comes days after ICE sent similar subpoenas to the city of Denver, a move that reflected the agency’s mounting frustration with jurisdictions that do not honor deportation “detainers” or provide any details about defendants going in and out of local custody.
Now, just who is it that ICE is looking for? Well, these are not people you would invite into your home, unless you were suicidally stupid.
The fourth subpoena asks for information about a Guyanese man charged this month with sexually assaulting and killing Maria Fuertas, a 92-year-old Queens woman.
So much for being the safest city in America.
That case became a flashpoint in the conflict after ICE officials said the city had released the woman’s alleged attacker, Reeaz Khan, 21, on earlier assault charges rather than turn him over for deportation. Khan was charged with murder Jan. 10 and remains in custody.
NYPD has an excuse of course. They claim they never received the detainer. ICE said they sent it, and I have little doubt they did, not that it matters.
Either way, the city would not have turned him over under the terms of New York’s local ordinance governing how police work with immigration officials.
And that ordinance has caused the death of an innocent woman. Of course, Freddi Goldstein is blaming President Trump.
Goldstein said in an email Saturday that “the Trump administration’s attempt to exploit this tragedy are absolutely shameful.”
Meanwhile, The Mayor has decided he should double down on stupid.
De Blasio has accused ICE of employing “scare tactics” and spreading lies. He said on Twitter this week that the city has passed “common-sense laws about immigration enforcement that have driven crime to record lows.”
Meanwhile, Denver has decided to go all in on aiding and abetting felonies.
City officials in Denver said they would not comply with the requests, saying the subpoenas could be “viewed as an effort to intimidate officers into help enforcing civil immigration law.”
“The documents appear to be a request for information related to alleged violations of civil immigration law,” Chad Sublet, Senior Counsel to the Department of Safety in Denver, wrote in a letter to ICE officials.
It seems Sublet doesn’t understand that this is not a “Civil matter,” it is a criminal matter. Federal laws are being violated, first by the illegal aliens themselves, and now by the Progressive Moonbats aiding an abetting them. Perhaps it’s time to start looking at criminal charges brought against these local officials. There is a federal statute covering this. It’s 8 U.S. Code §?1324. Bringing in and harboring certain aliens, and the penalties are steep, especially when a criminal alien harms someone.
It’s long past time that these scum are dealt with, and I don’t mean the Illegal Aliens. The actions of local and state governments are now causing harm to American citizens and lawful resident aliens. President Trump, once he disposes of the latest coup attempt by the Democrats, should instruct Attorney General Barr to look into what legal remedies can be brought to bear on some of these “People.” Perhaps sending a few mayors, city councilors, state legislators and a governor or two to prison might encourage the others to clean up their act.
