Good day all. Now that the attempted coup by the Progressive Democrat CommuNazis has concluded, it’s time to review who supported it and who opposed it. As expected, every single Democrat supported the conviction of President Trump on bogus charges. Every single Republican opposed it, with one, unsurprising exception.

That exception is Willard Mitt Romney, also known as “Mittens”, the junior senator from Utah. He announced on Fox News that he was going to vote to convict our duly elected president on these garbage charges. While he voted to acquit on one charge, this two timing, disloyal scumbag voted to convict on “Abuse of power.” Here are some of the details from Fox News:
Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, told Fox News’ Chris Wallace Wednesday in an exclusive interview that he “had to follow my conscience” in deciding to vote to convict President Trump on abuse of power, a decision that’s likely to ignite serious blowback from Trump and others in the Republican Party.
“I believe that the act he took, an effort to corrupt an election is as destructive an attack on the oath of office and our Constitution as I can imagine,” Romney said. “It is a high crime and misdemeanor within the meaning of the Constitution, and that is not a decision I take lightly. It is the last decision I want to take.”
Romney later told Wallace: “I had to follow my conscience,” when asked about the likely blowback from Trump.
Now here is the truth. Mittens Romney is a Never Trumper. He worked against his nomination during the Republican convention in 2016. He was angling for Donald Trump to be rejected and himself nominated by acclimation. Like everything else in his political life, he failed miserably. After the convention, Mittens faded a bit from public view. Then Senator Orin “Deep State Uniparty” Hatch announced he was retiring and Mittens saw this as his chance to get back into government.
The carpetbagging liar managed to con the voters of Utah into electing him. Even President Trump supported his run for office, although I suspect he was very suspicious of Mittens. One he was elected, Mittens, true to form, promptly pulled out his dagger and began stabbing President Trump and the other Republican in the back.
This has not gone unnoticed in Utah. Just before the impeachment vote, several state legislators were looking into recalling Mittens. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court has said that the states can’t do this and that the citizens of Utah are going to have to deal with their buyers remorse until 2024 when Mittens comes up for re-election.
In the meantime, Mittens is finding out what happens when you stab the president in the back, especially when he is a member of your own party. The first thought was to expel Mittens from the Republican party, however there doesn’t seem to be any mechanism to do this in the Republican Party handbook. Instead, Mittens is being isolated.
It’s to soon to say what is going to happen, but I suspect that Mitch McConnell is going to put Mittens on meaningless committee assignments, or take him off the committees all together. McConnell was the one who pushed President Trump into supporting the lying, backstabbing weasel’s run for the senate. I don’t see him as turning the other cheek to Mitten’s betrayal.
As I mentioned earlier, Mittens is safe until 2024 when he’s up for reelection. However, if things go as expected in the 2020 election, not only will President Trump be reelected, but it’s likely that the house will switch back to the Republicans and their majority in the senate will increase. There is a chance that a couple of RINO’s may be defeated, (Susan Collins (Maine-RINO), but honestly, that won’t be any great loss.
We may pick up the seat in Virginia where Joe Manchin is up for reelection. West Virginia went for President Trump big time, and Manchin has been walking a tightrope ever since. There are others who are from states that voted for President Trump who were thought to might vote to save their political butts. Instead, they committed political Seppuku and are probably going to lose their seats.
As for Mittens? As he finds himself being rendered irrelevant, expect his ego to take over and pull a Justin Amashole. I do see the two timing backstabber announcing he was leaving the party. As to whether or not he will joining the Democratic CommuNazis, who can say? Considering where that party is going, I doubt they would have him. In any case, stick the fork in, Mittens is done.
