The Great Panicdemic of 2020: DoJ taking action on 1st Amendment violations

Good day all, this is a follow up to my post regarding some Democrat politicians basically ordering churches to shut down or else. We’ve already had a federal judge slam the mayor of Louisville, Kentucky. Now the Department of Justice is taking notice.

The China Virus has been blown up completely out of proportion, and has allowed a certain political party, (That would be Democrats), to use this as their way to strip away the constitutional rights of the American people. Unfortunately for the totalitarian minded Progressive Liberal member of the Democratic CommuNazi Party, the Department of Justice is taking notice. Here are the details from Fox News:

The Justice Department (DOJ) may take action next week against local governments that have cracked down on religious services as widespread parts of the country are shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic, a DOJ spokesperson said Saturday.

While social distancing policies are appropriate during this emergency, they must be applied evenhandedly [and] not single out religious [organizations],” DOJ Director of Communications Kerri Kupec tweeted.

She said the Attorney General William Barr is “monitoring” such regulations.

Screw monitoring, it’s time to go in with the marshals and start arresting some of these tyrant wannabes.

The DOJ move would come as some churches are standing up to city governments that have blocked them from holding in-person services during the outbreak — even in “drive-in” formats that keep people separated and in their own cars.

People are getting pretty fed up with this lock down, and threatening churchgoers with jail is a great way to win friends and influence voters.

A judge in Louisville, Ky., on Saturday issued a temporary restraining order blocking enforcement of Mayor Greg Fischer’s ban on drive-in church services there.

The Mayor’s decision is stunning,” District Judge Justin Walker, a former clerk to Supreme Court Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh, wrote in a memorandum to the order. “And it is, ‘beyond all reason,’ unconstitutional.”

An aside. Judge Walker is a Trump judge. Without question, an Obama judge would have ruled in favor of the Democrats and against the churches. Remember, elections matter people.

Freedom of religion is the first of the five freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,” its text begins.

The first amendment is very explicit in this regard, much to the disgust of your average bigot Progressive Liberal.

Separately, in Greenville, Miss., two churches have said that police came to their drive-in services and threatened to fine worshipers.

Churches are strongly encouraged to hold services via Facebook Live, Zoom, Free Conference Call, and any and all other social media, streaming and telephonic platforms,” Mayor Errick Simmons’ office said in an April 7 press release announcing a ban on in-person and drive-in church services.

What’s missing there is the “Or else” part of the message. Very quickly, the church filed a lawsuit against this tyrannical scumbag. By the way, I did a quick search and guess what? I wasn’t able to find out which party he belongs to. Looking at his picture, somehow, I doubt he’s a Republican. (If he is, they should boot him out)

The governor or Mississippi completely understands what a blithering idiot this chowder head is. In a story in Pulpit & Pen, the governor remarked:

In a tweet from earlier today, Republican Governor Tate Reeves came down hard against Greenville Mayor Errick Simmons and local law enforcement for their unconstitutional actions of shutting down all churches, breaking up services, and fining congregants $500.00 for participating in drive-in services.

If you send police after worshippers trying to social distance, you are going to have Mississippians revolt.” (I had to transcribe this from a screen shot of the twitter message. AW)

Now must churches have made adjustments, and one of them is using open fields and drive in theaters. People remain in their cars, yet attend their service/mass of choice. However, if people wish to attend church, (Or temple as the case may be), then they have an absolute right to do so.

What I want to see now is the Department of Justice finally start doing their job and cracking down on these jumped up tyrant wannabes. Perhaps a few criminal prosecutions and convictions might encourage the survivors remaining office holders that abusing the constitutional rights of Americans is a very serious issue and will be dealt with harshly under the laws of this nation.
