Good day all. The Great Panicdemic of 2020 got it’s start in China. There has been much discussion on weather it was made in a lab or if China screwed up and let the Covid-19 virus escape. Those are things for another day. This is about President Trump pulling the funding from the World Health organization, his reasons for doing so and the usual globalist suspects response.
Since this whole China Virus thing got started, people were looking, not unreasonably, to the World Health Organization, (WHO), to take the lead and provide guidance. Instead, the current head of the WHO, Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, was totally in the tank to the Chinese Government, actively aiding them in covering up the extent of the epidemic in China. Now President Trump has decided that we should not be spending any American taxpayer funds on this organization until it’s act has been cleaned up. Here are the details from Fox News:
President Trump’s decision to suspend funding to the World Health Organization amid the coronavirus crisis touched off an international war of words overnight as Democratic lawmakers in Washington as well as international bodies like the European Union condemned the move.
Considering that the United States pays most of the bills for the WHO, and the Eurotrash pays as little as they can get away with, they can go take a long walk off a high cliff.
The president announced Tuesday, (April 14), that the United States would immediately halt funding for the health organization, saying it had put “political correctness over lifesaving measures,” noting that the U.S. would undertake a 60-to-90 day investigation into why the “China-centric” WHO had caused “so much death” by “severely mismanaging and covering up” the coronavirus spread.
Most of the Republicans supported this decision, especially with all the information that has come out on just how badly the WHO screwed the pooch. Of course, the Globalists and the Democratic CommuNazis are aghast that anyone would besmirch the reputation of the World health Organization.
But the partisan divide quickly opened. Following the announcement, House Oversight Committee Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., and House Subcommittee on National Security Chairman Steven Lynch, D-Mass., penned a letter to the president slamming his decision to withhold funding to the organization amid the global pandemic.
“While we may agree that the WHO has shortcomings that must be corrected, your attack on the global health organization can easily be seen as a deliberate but transparent effort to deflect responsibility for your own failures onto others,” Maloney and Lynch wrote, adding that Trump’s “attempt to blame the WHO for trusting China reflects an astonishing level of hypocrisy given your own fawning and widely publicized praise of President Xi Jinping and his government for their handling of this crisis.”
They added: “While the WHO may have made mistakes in its response to this crisis, it was certainly not alone, and it defies logic to withhold support from the WHO at this pivotal moment—at the height of a global pandemic—when promoting the health of nations around the world is essential to protecting our own population and rebuilding our own economy.”
Actually, since this story first came out, April 15, the details of the World health Organization’s incompetence and corruption have only grown worse. However, the globalists and the China suckups, (Is there a difference?), continue to refuse what is plain to everyone else.
Also late Tuesday, the American Medical Association weighed in, immediately calling on Trump to reconsider his decision.
“During the worst public health crisis in a century, halting funding to the World Health Organization is a dangerous step in the wrong direction that will not make defeating COVID-19 easier,” AMA President Patrice A. Harris said in a statement.
The American Medical Association has zero credibility. They were big boosters of the disaster known as Obamacare, and have changed their stance on Soviet style healthcare. (Single payer). They are now big fans of government run medicine.
The European Union slime have also decried President Trump’s cutting off the World Health Organization, however, they don’t seem willing to pick up the slack by dynamiting open their own wallets.
The United States is the WHO’s largest single donor, and the State Department had previously planned to provide the agency $893 million in the current two-year funding period. Trump said the United States contributes roughly $400 to $500 million per year to WHO, while China offers only about $40 million. The money saved will go to areas that “most need it,” Trump asserted.
And that will be America medical centers. As for the Chinese Government, let them pick up the slack if they think the WHO is so important for anything other then acting as a propaganda mouthpiece for them.
“We have deep concerns over whether America’s generosity has been put to the best use possible,” Trump said Tuesday, accusing the WHO of failing to adequately keep the international community apprised of the threat of the coronavirus.
“The WHO failed in this duty, and must be held accountable,” Trump said Tuesday. He added that the WHO had ignored “credible information” in December 2019 that the virus could be transmitted from human to human.
Now getting into the conspiracy stuff, there are those who believe that this virus came from a Chinese bioweapons lab. I don’t believe this to be the case. The probable case is that the lab was studying the virus, looking to make a vaccine and through sloppy lab procedures, the virus got out. That was bad enough, but the thing that is going to really hurt the Chinese government was the cover up of the virus spreading throughout the region.
The Chinese government began suppressing news about the virus early on, and even detained Dr. Li Wenliang, who has since died of coronavirus after trying to warn the international community of the threat. Nevertheless, on Jan. 8, the WHO declared: “Preliminary identification of a novel virus in a short period of time is a notable achievement and demonstrates China’s increased capacity to manage new outbreaks.”
What really happened was the virus got out of control and started spreading throughout China and the other Asian countries. Korea started getting hit around then, and many people, myself included, believe it got into the United States between December and January, including myself.
Right about that time, my manager was visiting Hanoi, Vietnam on business. He came back to the United States through South Korea. He was sick with what he considered a mild cold. Since he sits about 2 feet from me, I got sick as well and I had it pretty bad. I don’t recall any real breathing problems, but I did suffer severe ear blockages causing me to seek out medical attention. We’re both wondering if we didn’t actually have a case of the Wuhan Flu. The only way to know for sure is to be tested for the antibodies. Meanwhile, the Chinese Government was continuing to lie to the world.
Again on Jan. 14, the WHO simply echoed Chinese government statements: “Preliminary investigations conducted by the Chinese authorities have found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) identified in Wuhan, China.”
Still, even the World health Organization couldn’t continue to cover up for the Chinese Government for much longer. The Chinese virus was out and about and making itself known. The rest, as they say, is history. The World Health Organization proved itself to be untrustworthy and so President Trump has cut off their money. Now inside the United States, we have the Centers for Disease Control and the Food and Drug Administration. Those two agencies need a deep rectal examination after screwing up the early phases of testing and isolation. However, that’s something for another day.
