Good day all. In 2016, people thought that Juan Ellis Bush would be the nominee of the Republican Party. He had his father and brother’s rolodex full of names, and $100 million dollars in the bank to buy the nomination.
Well, as we know, things didn’t quite go as planned for poor Juan Ellis, and that $100 million bought him nothing, with his unofficial campaign motto being “Please Clap.” After that debacle, people thought no one could blow that much money and get nothing for it. In 2020, former mayor Michael Bloomberg said “Challenge Accepted.”
He decided to jump into the 2020 Democratic Primary for president, and promptly dumped flaming truckloads of cash into ads touting himself as the greatest thing since sliced bread. In the end, he got nothing, and he managed to blow $1 BILLION DOLLARS! (Cue Dr. Evil) Here are the details from Fox News:
Former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg ended up shelling out more than $1 billion of his own money on his brief and unsuccessful bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Just last month, the billionaire businessman and media mogul spent $176 million on his White House bid, according to a campaign finance report he filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) on Monday.
I wonder why he shelled out another $170 million? Probably paying off some bills. It certainly wasn’t to take care of his former campaign workers health insurance needs.
That brought the centrist candidate’s overall bill to more than $1 billion for a campaign that lasted less than four months.
And he managed to win…let me see, how many primaries and caucuses? Umm that would be none. How many delegates did he get? That would be 55, which is, I believe, 55 more then Juan Ellis Bush won in 2016.
Bloomberg declared his candidacy on Nov. 24. Since he jumped into the race well after his other rivals for the Democratic nomination, he decided to forgo campaigning in the four early voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina, and instead concentrated all his time and firepower in the delegate-rich states that held primaries and caucuses on Super Tuesday.
And how did that work out for Bloomies?
But after disappointing finishes in the coast-to-coast March 3 contests, Bloomberg dropped out of the race the next day and endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden, who emerged as the front-runner after sweeping most of the states that voted on Super Tuesday.

Bloomies also transferred millions to the DNC coffers. Why he backed Biden, who is going to get his head handed to him in November, is anyone’s guess. Bloomies certainly hasn’t been putting a lot of effort into getting Biden elected.
Even though Bloomberg dropped out early in March, he ended up paying $23.3 million in salary, benefits and payroll taxes and fees to campaign staffers, according to his finance report.
Unfortunately for those staffers, they found out just what Bloomies promises are worth.
Numerous ex-staffers blasted Bloomberg, saying he offered them false promises of job security through the November election no matter what happened to his candidacy.
Why anyone would believe anything that midget says is a mystery to me. All that Bloomies has done is prove to everyone that he’s just another toady for the People’s Republic of China’s government. For that reason alone, keeping that petty little, (and I do mean little), tyrant out of the white house is a good thing. That he basically set fire to $1 billion dollars of his own money is just icing on the cake.
