Good day all. It’s been a while since I’ve written about the idiot known as Representative Alexandria Occasional-Cortex. The reason is simple. She’s been on a repeating cycle and hasn’t come up with any new material to use against her…Until now that is. It seems that AOC is also a tax deadbeat.
A tax deadbeat? America’s Socialist Darling? How can that be? Well, the answer is simple. She is a typical Limousine Liberal. She considers taxes to be something the “Little People” pay. Here are the details from Fox News:
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants to raise taxes on the rich — just not pay her own.
The Democratic socialist congresswoman from the Bronx still hasn’t paid a 7-year-old tax bill left over from a failed business venture.
So, as a business mogul, she makes an ok bartender. So, what’s the story on this failure’s failure?
AOC had founded Brook Avenue Press, a publishing house that sought designers, artists and writers from urban areas to help paint the Bronx in a positive way in children’s stories, in 2012.
Ok, I think I see the problem here. There is nothing positive about the Bronx. Obviously, Occasional-Cortex wasn’t bothering with things like researching the market before starting a business. If she had, she probably would have looked at another model, although I understand the market for Crack and hookers is already saturated. So I assume she gave up and closed down? Not exactly.
As the Post previously reported, public records show the state dissolved the company in October 2016. The state can make such a move when a business fails to pay corporate taxes or file a return. The state Tax Department then filed a warrant against her now-defunct business on July 6, 2017, over a $1,618.36 unpaid bill. As of Friday, the tax warrant had still not been satisfied, and the outstanding balance had grown to $2,088.78, the department said.
AOC makes at least $174,000.00 as a member of the House of Representatives. Are you telling me she couldn’t have forked over a couple of grand to make this go away? Oh wait, this IS Alexandria Occasional-Cortex we’re talking about. Thinking is not something she does very well. There is also good old fashioned arrogance.
But Ocasio-Cortez’s camp says the rep is challenging the $2,088.78 bill because it was issued “in error.”
Not an impossibility after all, this IS New York after all. They’re currently going after all the people from other states who came in as volunteers to help with the Cuomo Virus. (Most of the spread in the United States was due to New Yorkers it seems) However, from a political standpoint, not paying this off is going to be seen by many people as pure “Do as I say, not as I do.”
In one of her first moves as a congresswoman in 2019, AOC said taxes on the country’s wealthiest should be increased to as much as 70 percent.
As we all know, money moves, and if it looked like Alexandria the tax deadbeat were to actually get a tax hike like that through, the money would be out of the country within hours, and then they would start going after everyone else. Oh wait, they planned on doing that anyway. Never mind.
Occasional-Cortex is facing a primary opponent, one who isn’t as big a lunatic as she is. While I would love to see the seat taken by someone who actually believes in the Constitution of the United States, I’ll accept AOC being crushed like a bug in the primary. One and Done should be her motto from now on.
