The Great Panicdemic of 2020: Cuomo, no one should be prosecuted for Covid deaths

Good day all. As the Great Panicdemic of 2020 winds down, people are starting to look at how the governments handled things. In general, the answer will be “Poorly.”

In a few cases, the term will be criminally incompetent. This brings me to the pronouncement from New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. He has stated that “Nobody should be prosecuted over deaths from the China Virus in nursing homes. Here are the details from Fox News:

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said “nobody” should be prosecuted over coronavirus deaths, including nursing homes, saying older people were “always going to die from this virus.”

Perhaps if you hadn’t ordered the nursing homes to take in Wuhan Flu patients they weren’t equipped to deal with, most, if not all of those who died might still be alive Governor Sensitive.

One reporter at an Albany press conference on Sunday asked the governor what he had to say to families who had lost loved ones in nursing homes to coronavirus. “They’re looking for accountability and they feel that they were failed, what’s the comment to that?”

I think Cuomo’s response can be summed up as “Someone rid me of this troublesome journalist.” What was actually reported though:

Older people, vulnerable people, are going to die from this virus,” Cuomo added. “That is going to happen despite whatever you do, with all our progress as a society, we can’t keep everyone alive. Older people are more vulnerable. That is a fact that is not going to change.”

It would change if it hadn’t been for the actions of one Governor Andrew “Incompetent” Cuomo. He issued the order to nursing homes, over their very loud objections, to take in Wuhan Flu patients and mix them in with residents at extremely high risk of death if they contracted the China Virus.

More than 4,800 people died from COVID-19 in nursing homes in New York from March 1 to May 1, according to a count by the governor’s office. Roughly 25 percent of all deaths in the state occurred in nursing homes.

Cuomo the Killer finally realized that he had made a mistake, (If it was a mistake), and reversed his order.

On May 10, Cuomo revealed a requirement for hospital patients to test negative for coronavirus before being discharged to nursing homes, effectively reversing his previous policy. He also announced a policy requiring all New York nursing homes and adult care facilities to test staff members for COVID-19 twice a week and report positive cases to the state.

Cuomo the Killer has been played up by the Mostly Stupid Media as a potential replacement for Slow Joe the Groper Biden when the Democratic CommuNazis hold their convention. There is a fair chance that Cuomo the Mass Murderer may not be available to accept the nomination.

Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., is demanding a federal probe into Cuomo’s policy.

“Today I joined my [New York GOP] colleagues in the House to call for a federal investigation of Cuomo’s failed nursing home policies,” Stefanik tweeted Friday. “NOW they admit they unethically changed the way they report nursing home deaths. An INEXCUSABLE tragedy for NY — NEED ANSWERS.”

New York City Republican Councilman Joe Borelli told “Fox & Friends” on Monday there are now bipartisan calls for an investigation into the rule.

New York City has a Republican Councilman? What is he? The token Republican? Oh well, what does he have to say?

The truth of the matter is on March 25, the Cuomo administration made a decision in the form of a written policy that prevented nursing homes from rejecting patients that were testing positive for COVID-19 from coming back into the nursing home,” Borelli told “Fox & Friends First.”

Borelli added that though “leeway” should be given to elected officials who make difficult decisions in difficult circumstances, Cuomo made a “backward” decision, allowing infected people to be allowed near vulnerable and “close-knit” people.

You don’t have to be an expert in epidemiology to realize that this was going to be a problem,” Borelli said.

The mark of a leader is making a touch decision, but when information comes in that it’s wrong, quickly changing it. However, another mark of a true leader is not panicking and issuing dumb, dangerous orders that kill thousands. Andrew Cuomo is no leader and never has been. He is a bully and most of his time in the governor’s office, he’s been in a photo finish with a grand jury.

Now he is beginning to realize that this time, he might not beat the grand jury to the finish line. His remarks that nobody should be prosecuted isn’t aimed at the nursing home people who were ordered, for all intents and purposes, with a gun pointed at them, it’s aimed at himself. He made the decision and issued the order, and it’s his responsibility. Now it’s time for him to pay the piper, both civilly and criminally.
