Good day all. A couple of week ago, a man, George Floyd, was taken into custody for allegedly passing counterfeit money. While handcuffed and on the ground, one of the arresting officers kept a knee on his neck for almost 10 minutes, causing the death of George Floyd.

This was videoed at the time and there were couple of bystanders telling the cop to get off Floyd. Floyd was complaining of problems breathing, and instead of getting him up, ignored him. Floyd died as a result. The officers in question were fired and then charged criminally. In other words, the system was working to deal with some bad or incompetent cops.
As we’ve seen, the initial protests morphed into flat out riots with looting and arson going on all over the country. It’s since turned out that this is probably a coordinated, preplanned assault. One of the problems with closing down the riots was the city government pulling the police back and letting the scum loot, pillage and burn to their hearts desire.
Now, many of these elected city officials have dreamed up the spectacularly dumb idea of closing down their police departments. Here are some of the details from Fox News:
Several members of the Minneapolis City Council this week have expressed support for radical changes to how the city handles law enforcement, including a move to “dismantle” the police department and replace it with “a transformative new model for public safety.”
Jeremiah Ellison, the son of Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and a representative of the city’s Ward 5, explicitly led calls to “dramatically rethink” how the city keeps its people safe.
“We are going to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department,” he tweeted. “And when we’re done, we’re not simply gonna glue it back together. We are going to dramatically rethink how we approach public safety and emergency response. It’s really past due.”
First, there is no question that police in this country have some serious training issues, especially large city departments. To begin with, there is a severe “Us vs Them” mentality. This leads to excessive and/or inappropriate use of force by police. Then you have to many SWAT teams, most not very well trained. Top it all off with no knock warrants and asset forfeiture for profit and you go from a police department to an occupying army. Cleaning this up isn’t what the Progressive Liberal idiots have in mind.
Yes,” she said in response to Ellison. “We are going to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department and replace it with a transformative new model of public safety.”
That was not the first time Bender had addressed calls to “dismantle” the city’s police force this week, however. On Wednesday she posted a thread about how a “white person” should think about dismantling the police.
Oh this is going to be bad.
“If you are a comfortable white person asking to dismantle the police I invite you to reflect: are you willing to stick with it? Will you be calling in three months to ask about garage break-ins? Are you willing to dismantle white supremacy in all systems, including a new system?” she said. “I mean this quite sincerely & seriously: just look at recent conversations about City-funded neighborhood organizations to understand how explicitly we would have to work to establish alternative systems that do not replicate the same problems. White ppl need to show up for this.”
Bender on Tuesday also said “I support continued diversion of funds from law enforcement to other priorities,” following calls from many to “defund the police.”
Would you care to guess just what this piece of racist white communist trash has in mind? No need to.
According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Bender sees the city’s potentially revamped public safety force as potentially sending social workers or other civilian personnel into situations that are traditionally handled by police.
You mean situations like bank robberies, hostage situations and terrorist attacks? Yeah, that’s going to work out so well. In any case, the police union is fighting back. They are claiming the 4 officer were fired without due process, (Really a moot point since they’re criminally charged), and stating they intend to sue. This was like throwing gasoline on a three alarm fire.
Steve Fletcher, also a member of the Minneapolis City Council, condemned Kroll and the police union in a long thread in which he said the city should “declare policing as we know it a thing of the past.”
“Bob Kroll’s letter yesterday to the Minneapolis Police Federation membership showed us what rank-and-file officers voted for in their leadership, and it is yet another sign that the department is irredeemably beyond reform,” Fletcher said. “After watching MPD officers escalate and provoke anger all week, he asserts that if they’d only been allowed to use more violence, they could have put a stop to demonstrations. This is nonsense. MPD officers chose him as their leader.”
Fletcher continued: “I don’t know yet, though several of us on the council are working on finding out, what it would take to disband the MPD and start fresh with a community-oriented, non-violent public safety and outreach capacity.”
Police unions are a major part of the problem, but they aren’t the only reason we have problems with out of control police. You also have, to be blunt, really bad leadership, that puts political correctness ahead of good management and training. There are people who are on police forces that should never have been given a badge. They were selected because of skin color or some other politically correct reason.
Assuming that Minneapolis and other Democrat controlled cities actually go through with disbanding their police departments, what do you think will happen? How about an instant explosion of crime. This will very quickly be followed up by citizens forming vigilance committees. They will do so in order to protect themselves, their families and their property.
If this happens, criminals will receive a trial that lasts about 10 minutes and then they will probably be hanged or shot. Rapists and child molesters caught in the act wouldn’t even get the 10 minutes before they’re executed. If you think this is hyperbole, think again. There were reasons police departments were formed in the first place. One of them was to stop vigilantes from taking the law into their own hands. The city of Minneapolis, and other municipalities seem to have forgotten their history. Not surprising since they never studied it in the first place.
The movie series called The Purge was supposed to be fictional, and the Progressive liberal idiots seem to think those movies were a training manual. They also refuse to consider how the average person is going to react when they know that no help will be coming. It won’t be pretty.
