Good day all. For the last month, the Communists from Black lives Matter and Antifa have been engaging in riots and destruction, mostly of Democrat controlled cities and states. Rather then shut these terrorists down, the Progressive Liberal Democrats have actively encouraged them. Now the bill is coming due.
The first governor to stick his hand out and demand the taxpayers from states that did shut down the rioters is Minnesota governor Tim Walz. He has asked that President Trump declare the state a disaster area and has asked for $500 million dollars. Here are the details of that request from Fox News:
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has asked President Trump for a federal disaster declaration in his state due to “extensive fire damage” and other destruction in the unrest that followed George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis police custody on Memorial Day.
“We need to come together to ensure Minnesotans who were victims of this destruction have access to critical infrastructure they need so they can go to the grocery store, pick up their medication, and live their lives,” Walz said in a statement Thursday. “Together, we will rebuild.”
Perhaps if you and the mayors had actually done your jobs and shut down the rioters on day one, you won’t have to go looking for federal money.
He also appealed to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for financial assistance to help cover the cost of debris removal, emergency measures and damage to public buildings and equipment.
“We’re asking our federal partners to step up and help our communities recover,” he said.
FEMA is set up to assist in the case of natural disasters and nuclear war, not self inflicted catastrophes. Yesterday, July 11th, President Trump gave his answer, and it was NO. Here are those details from the Washington Examiner:
President Trump has denied a request from Minnesota’s governor for money to rebuild parts of Minneapolis that were destroyed during the riots following the death of George Floyd.
“The Governor is disappointed that the federal government declined his request for financial support,” Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s office said in a statement. “As we navigate one of the most difficult periods in our state’s history, we look for support from our federal government to help us through.”
Walz has been acting like most of the Progressive Liberal Democratic CommuNazi governors during the Wuhan Flu fiasco. Basically he has been acting like a dictator and ignoring the constitutions of his state and of the United States. Well, the chickens are home and roosting. His own representatives in Washington are saying “Not one dime.”
At least one Republican in the state had lobbied the Trump administration to reject the request, arguing that the state’s response to the unrest should be thoroughly reviewed.
“If the federal government is expected to assist in the clean-up of these unfortunate weeks, it has an obligation to every American — prior to the release of funding — to fully understand the events which allowed for this level of destruction to occur and ensure it never happens again,” Rep. Tom Emmer wrote to the Trump administration in a letter.
Another congressman, Rep. Jeff Duncan of South Carolina, praised the Trump administration’s decision to reject Minnesota’s request, placing blame on the local officials who told the police to stand down during the rioting.
“Great news! @realDonaldTrump has DENIED Minnesota’s disaster request to repair half a billion dollars in damage from the riots,” Duncan tweeted. “Governors and Mayors who ordered police to stand down and watch their cities burn shouldn’t get a penny in taxpayer aid!”
I could see one way they could get federal aid. First, every single elected and appointed official, starting with Walz, need to resign immediately. Second, the legislature, those who remain after the mass resignations, should request that the President appoint an interim Governor with the power to appoint interim mayors. These people will hold office for no more then 2 years and will have sole discretion in how the funds should be spent. They will not stand for election for one cycle after completing their temporary term in office.
They will also have the power to overhaul all the police departments, (Something that has been shown needs to be done in many locals), and start prosecuting as many of these Antifa and BLM terrorists as can be identified and arrested. (Full jury trials of course. This isn’t martial law)
Will any of this happen? Of course not. It’s wishful thinking on my part. What will happen is a lot of noisy shirt rending, whining and complaining by these Moonbat political morons who let this happen and expect the rest of the country to bail them out…again. No, not one dime for these cities and states that allowed this to happen. Hurricane, forest fire and tornado season is here and those funds will be needed for people who have suffered losses from nature, not moonbat policies.
