Good day all. I’ve written in the past about my hatred of the H1B visa program. It was meant to help companies in dealing with the Y2K bug when there was an actual shortage of programmers. Instead, it has been used by companies to get rid of their high paid and very competent Information Technology workers and replaces them with low paid workers of variable levels of competence.
There have been hundreds of horror stories where long term employees were laid off and forced to train their foreign replacements, or get no severance package. Many of these people were never able to find another job and were bankrupted and lost everything. It’s long been an open secret that corporate Human Resource departments would put out job descriptions and pay rates that no one would take. The idea being that they could then claim “No American workers wanted the jobs.”
When Donald Trump took office, he began the process of cleaning up this mess, and last week he announced a major overhaul of the program. Here are the details from Breitbart:
President Donald Trump’s deputies have launched a fundamental reform of the H-1B visa system to protect American graduates from outsourcing — despite furious opposition from donors and leaders from Silicon Valley, Fortune 500 companies, and coastal investors.
Gee, my heart just bleeds over the plight of all these Fortune 500 companies who won’t be able to import virtual slaves and get rid of hard working Americans. No, actually, it doesn’t.
The reform will end the annual award of 85,000 H-1B visas by lottery, which has been gamed by companies to import foreign workers at wages far below the salaries needed by American professionals. Instead, the visas will be offered to the companies that compete to offer the highest salaries, preventing employers from undercutting American graduates.
“The Trump administration is continuing to deliver on its promise to protect the American worker while strengthening the economy,” said Acting DHS Deputy Secretary Ken Cuccinelli. “The current use of random selection to allocate H-1B visas … hurts American workers by bringing in relatively lower-paid foreign labor at the expense of the American workforce.”
“We have seen more progress in the last few weeks than we’ve seen in the last 30 years,” said Kevin Lynn, founder of U.S. Tech Workers, which opposes the H-1B and other visa worker programs. He continued:
If you look at it on the whole, Trump is side with working Americans. Look at the beginning of his administration when he canceled the Trans-Pacific Partnership. All the elites wanted that — he said no. He allowed labor into [negotiations about] NAFTA II — the USMCA — and they made a better deal for working man and women. On August 3, for the Tennessee Valley Authority, he used the authority he had to protect those white-collar jobs [from H-1B outsourcing]. So he’s clearly made a choice between the elites and working men and women.
President Trump has been great for American workers, not so much for companies that like to outsource jobs. Compare President Trump to Dementia Joe Biden. Where President Trump has been standing up to the Chinese Communist Party running China, the senile pedophile, and the retired prostitute who is his running mate, can’t wait to sell out America the CCP. In fact, it looks like a significant down payment has been made via Dementia Joe’s son, Hoovernose Biden.
One group that will benefit from this are new college graduates who majored in the STEM disciplines. These men and women spent money on real classes, (Unlike the modern version of underwater basket weaving, generally anything ending in the word “Studies”), and once they graduate, can’t get a job. Why? Because they are Americans, and they actually expect to be paid for their work.
Another disadvantage for the H1B serfs is not being able to demand higher pay. For a normal employee, either an American citizen or permanent resident alien, (A green card holder), H1B’s can’t quit and find a better job. If they do quit, they’re out of compliance and are on the next plan back to Bombay. This allows those Fortune 500 Plantations to abuse them, and abuse them they do.
CEOs at Fortune 500 companies quietly outsource many of their full-time jobs to this huge “Green Card Workforce,” so cutting costs and boosting near-term stock values for shareholders and C-Suite executives.
This green card outsourcing prevents many American graduates from getting paid jobs where they can use the degrees they earned with borrowed tuition money. Also, outsourcing pushes many experienced American professionals from mid-career jobs, while millions more face lower salaries and persistent job insecurity.
And pushing out those experienced people, who know how things work, can destroy a company and cost lives. Take Boeing…Please! The 737 Max debacle can be laid directly at the feet of Boeing’s management and accountants. It’s since been learned that the computer control systems, the programs that actually keep the plane in the air, weren’t written by Boeing’s programmers. They had been laid off and the work sent to a company in India with no experience whatsoever in writing this type of code. But they were cheap no doubt. (And Boeing might just fail because of this too)
Under globalists like Biden, the neoliberals have destroyed of hundreds of thousands of good middle-class and upper-middle-class jobs. That is what killed the American dream. The American Dream is, if you want to find it, you go to the cemetery. That’s where you’re gonna find the people have actually lived it. If you’re a millennial, looking to get into the job market, or you’re a boomer getting ready to retire, you’re very insecure right now … I wish Biden would be more concerned about the body.
Biden is backed by companies that have replaced Americans with H-1Bs, he said. “One need only look at the support that he’s been getting from Google, Facebook, and Twitter … it is obvious.”
As if we need another reason to crush the Silicon Valley robber barons. Dementia Joe has stated that he intends to throw open the borders and basically end America as a free and successful nation. He fully intends to collapse the American economy, or at least the people running him are. If he does win November 3rd, then it’s over for you if you are an American or legal resident alien. The levels of corruption in the current system, being cleaned up by President Trump, will seem minor after a year of Harris and Biden. It’s your choice America. Choose wisely.
