Good day all. Alexandria Occasional-Cortex never ceases to amaze and amuse people with her incredible ignorance, cluelessness and stupidity. She and the other members of her “squad” have shown America that their idea of America’s future is to make sure there isn’t one.
Their recent “Brilliant” ideas include ending police forces and closing prisons. Here are the details from The Washington Free Beacon:
Two leading progressive House Democrats on Tuesday endorsed a proposal to radically overhaul the criminal justice system by dismantling policing and incarceration in the United States.
Reps. Ayanna Pressley (D., Mass.) and Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.), both known as members of the House’s uber-progressive “squad,” backed the BREATHE Act, legislation that would strip federal law enforcement to the bone, disband the DEA and ICE, end federal funding for police, and “develop a time-bound plan to close all federal prisons.”
The bill would also, an official summary states, funnel unspecified amounts of federal money into massive new grant programs, which would be spent on priorities like school curricula on “colonialism,” pilot programs for a universal basic income, and reparations for prostitutes.
Reparations for prostitutes? What for? I do believe they are paid for the services they render. Take a look at one of the best known hookers out there, Kamala Harris, She’s done extremely well by spreading her legs. Why does she, or any of the others need reparations for? Are you referring to those who’s “pimp’s” used them as slaves? Well how about going after the pimps to recover the money owed to the prostitutes? Oh wait, with your plans to end law enforcement in the United States, there won’t be anyone able to do that now, will there?
No official language for the BREATHE Act yet exists, and the proposal is unlikely to be passed wholesale into law. Pressley and Tlaib’s support, however, signals that the Democrats’ progressive wing is unsatisfied with the police reforms being pushed by their more moderate colleagues and would prefer a more radical overhaul. That vision in turn has a good chance at influencing 2020 contender Joe Biden and the Democratic Party’s platform, due to be set next month.
And frankly, who cares what the Communists want? If they get there way in the short term, they will be dealt with in the long term, probably by being taken on a helicopter ride somewhere.
The summary, released by the social justice umbrella organization Movement for Black Lives, outlines a comprehensive vision for overhauling the criminal justice system. The first calls for comprehensive divestment of federal resources from policing, including an end to federal funding for police hiring, the abolition of ICE and the DEA, the defunding of school security officers, and major cuts to the Department of Defense’s budget.
So, these people hate kids. Got it. Why do I say they hate kids? The reason fro the security officers in schools is to stop the lunatics these clowns want to release from going in and slaughtering the children. (Of course, cutting the funding for Broward County makes sense. They have shown that when the going gets tough, they run away. May as well save some money)
The envisioned overhaul would also entail a number of legal changes. Those include banning facial recognition and predictive policing tools; ending mandatory minimums, life sentences, and “three strikes” laws; and repealing “federal laws that criminalize human movement and border entry”—effectively legalizing crossing the border.
In the some cases, I agree with banning life sentences. Some criminals should just be executed. Oh wait, that wasn’t what you had in mind? And throwing open the borders. This means ending the United States as a sovereign nation, but then ending the United States is your goal.
Some of the plans involve federal regulation of state law, like “repealing all existing State juvenile offenses”—a move that would likely face a substantial constitutional challenge.
Oh, you mean that pesky 10th Amendment thingy? Don’t worry about it. These morons intend to tear up the constitution in any case, so it won’t matter.
Instead of funding police and incarceration, the BREATHE Act would redirect resources to “alternatives” like violence interruption and mediation programs—approaches either with little evidentiary support or which studies say do not work.
Oh those studies were done by cryptofascist cisgendered white males and were rigged to fail. Once we, (The Woke Socially pure transgendered studies majors take over, it will work)
These would be supplemented by major transfer programs, supporting everything from “food cooperatives and urban gardens” to a universal basic income. Also on the agenda are “reparations for mass criminalization,” including “the criminalization of prostitution” and “border violence.”
I love how these moonbats love to say “If we have urban gardens, all our problems will just go away.
While I might be persuaded that prostitution be legalized, provided the people involved are of the legal age of consent and are not being coerced into the profession, if you expect me to pay “Reparations” to any criminals, think again. These idiots have no conception of what true evil exists out there. They just blame all of the problems on “Whitey and Society. They are incapable of accepting that there are some people who just need to be put away, or put down.
What these nitwits are refusing to consider is that if, by some miracle, they managed to get this nonsense implemented, two things would happen. First would be a massive increase in the crime rate. The second thing would be the return of vigilance committees. We really don’t want to go back to those days. Things like due process, the rules of evidence and constitutional rights tended to not be considered.
If you want to see what would happen, take a look at the blue cities that have already started gutting the police. Crime rates are skyrocketing. It’s only a matter of time before a reaction occurs and you start seeing the “criminal element” being taken out by the citizenry. If vigilantes show up, the death squads won’t be far behind them, and they will deal with what they perceive as the cause of the problems. How about you just go back to your kiddie tables and let the grownups handle things, okay?
